Harrisonburg High School (HHS), part of the Harrisonburg City School System, is a public high school located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, United States. HHS serves grades nine through twelve, and its athletic teams are known as the Blue Streaks. In October 2017, 1782 students were enrolled. It was rated "Fully Accredited" by the Virginia Department of Education for the 2017–2018 school year.

Belmont Estates is a census-designated place in Rockingham County, Virginia. The population as of the 2010 Census was 1,263. It is a suburban bedroom community just to the west of Harrisonburg.

George Earman House, also known as the Earman-Logan House, is a historic home located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, United States. It was built about 1822, and was originally a two-story, five-bay, brick I-house dwelling. The main entrance was reversed to the rear three bay side by the late-19th century, and a one-story ell had been added off the former front facade. The interior features a showy Federal interior with original painting in the first floor south parlor.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

New Erection is an unincorporated community located in Rockingham County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. The community took its name from a Presbyterian church called "New Erection" because it was re-erected there, having previously been erected in Dayton.

Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park is a baseball venue in Harrisonburg, Virginia, United States. It is home to the James Madison Dukes baseball team of the NCAA Division I Colonial Athletic Association. James Madison University joined the Sun Belt Conference in 2022. The Harrisonburg Turks of the collegiate summer Valley Baseball League also use the field, which opened in March 2010 and has a capacity of 1,200 spectators.

Whitesel Brothers is a historic warehouse located at Harrisonburg, Virginia. The original section was built in 1939, with later additions built between 1939 and 1948 and after 1961. The original section is a two-story brick building, with a somewhat taller elevator tower. It has a second-floor arched truss system and intact original mechanical systems.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Dale Enterprise is an unincorporated community in Rockingham County, Virginia, United States. The name dates to 1872, when it was time to name the village's post office. The place was previously known as Millersville, after the Miller family who ran an early store there. After the Civil War, Mr. J. W. Minnick started a new mercantile “enterprise” at the crossroads of Silver Lake Road and Route 33. Minnick’s store was located near a “dale,” so the chosen name became Dale Enterprise.

Guns into Plowshares is a sculpture by Mennonite artists Esther Augsburger and Michael Augsburger. It depicts the blade of a giant plow, fashioned out of steel and 3,000 disabled handguns. It stands sixteen feet tall and weighs four tons. The work alludes to a passage from the Book of Isaiah in which the ancient Israelite prophet envisions a future when people "shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more" (Isaiah 2:4; cf. Micah 4:3). The image of transforming swords to plowshares has been widely adopted by social and political groups working for peace. The sculpture was conceived in 1994, when the artists heard of a gun buyback program coordinated by the Washington, D.C., police. After three years of work, Guns into Plowshares was completed in 1997 and erected in Judiciary Square. Since October 2017, it has stood on the campus of Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Center for Justice and Peacebuilding (CJP) is an accredited graduate-level program founded in 1994. It also offers non-credit training. The program specializes in conflict transformation, restorative justice, trauma healing, equitable development, and addressing organizational conflict. CJP is housed at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) in Harrisonburg, Virginia, which describes itself as "a leader among faith-based universities" in emphasizing "peacebuilding, creation care, experiential learning, and cross-cultural engagement." One of the three 2011 Nobel Peace Laureates, Leymah Gbowee of Liberia, earned a master's degree in conflict transformation from CJP in 2007.

Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) is a private Mennonite university in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The university also operates a satellite campus in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, which primarily caters to working adults. EMU is known for its Center for Justice and Peacebuilding (CJP), particularly its graduate program in conflict transformation.More than half of EMU's undergraduate students do not come from Mennonite backgrounds, though the majority are Christian.

The VCU Greek Row is a strip of fraternity sorority houses that are situated along Cary Street in the West End of Richmond, Virginia. It is located along the border of Randolph and "The Fan".

James Madison University (JMU, Madison, or James Madison) is a public research university in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Founded in 1908 as the State Normal and Industrial School for Women at Harrisonburg, the institution was renamed Madison College in 1938 in honor of President James Madison and then James Madison University in 1977. It is situated in the Shenandoah Valley, just west of Massanutten Mountain.
