Compton/Woodley Airport (IATA: CPM, ICAO: KCPM, FAA LID: CPM) is a public airport in Compton, southern Los Angeles County, California, 2 miles (3.2 km) southwest of Downtown Compton. The FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2007–2011 categorized it as a relief airport.It is used for general aviation as an alternative to Los Angeles International Airport, about 8 miles (13 km) west.

Woodlawn Memorial Park, is a historic cemetery in Compton, California, United States. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in Los Angeles County. The cemetery has had a history of care issues in the last 20 years, and since 2020 Woodlawn Memorial Park is only open for visitation. It has also been known as Compton Rural Cemetery, and Woodlawn Celestial Gardens.

Centennial High School is a public high school in Compton, California, operating as part of the Compton Unified School District. Construction of Centennial High School began in 1953, and it was erected in 1954, with its first graduating class in 1954. It is the smallest of the three high schools in the Compton Unified School District, which also includes Compton High School and Manuel Dominguez High School.

The American College of Medical Technology was a for-profit non-degree-granting occupational institution. The college was founded by Donald Harrison in 1974 as the American School of X-Ray. In July 1996, Daniel Dorim Kim purchased the school and changed the name to the American College of Medical Technology (ACMT). The school's accreditation was terminated in 2007. In 2008, Kim resigned the presidency. The school has since closed.

Willowbrook, alternatively named Willow Brook, is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Los Angeles County, California. The population was 24,295 at the 2020 census, down from 35,983 at the 2010 census. Willowbrook is the home to the newly renovated Martin Luther King Jr. Outpatient Center. Also located in Willowbrook is the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, which oversees residency training programs, allied health programs, a medical education program (jointly with the University of California, Los Angeles), a medical magnet high school, the area Head Start program, and various centers for health disparities research. Due to severe deficiencies, the former King/Drew Medical Center lost accreditation of several key residency training programs.

Rosecrans station is a busway station located in Los Angeles, California. It is situated between the Harbor Freeway station and the Harbor Gateway Transit Center on the J Line, a bus rapid transit route which runs between El Monte, Downtown Los Angeles and San Pedro as part of the Metro Busway system. The station consists of two side platforms in the center of Interstate 110 under Rosecrans Avenue. The station serves the Harbor Gateway neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Rosecrans station was built between 1989 and 1996 as part of the Harbor Transitway project and opened to passengers on August 1, 1996. J Line buses serve the station twenty-four hours a day; the headway between buses is about four minutes during peak periods, with less frequent service at other times. Rosecrans station is also served by Metro Express route 550 and Torrance Transit route 4, which only run during weekday peak periods.

It is owned by El Dorado LF, LLC. the successor company after founder Larry Flynt's death. It has been in operation since June 22, 2000. Of all of Larry Flynt's businesses the Hustler Casino is the most profitable, earning over $20 million annually as of 2007. The Hustler Casino was built on land that was formerly occupied by the El Dorado Club, which Flynt purchased in 1998 for $8 million.A major expansion was completed in February 2007 which included The Crystal Room which serves as a combination card room, special events room, conference room and poker tournament site.Since 1997, Flynt has hosted "the biggest seven-card stud game in the world"; the game started at Flynt's home but moved to his casino when it opened. As of April 2007, the minimum buy-in is $200,000, with $1000 antes and stakes of $2,000–4,000. Unlike most high-stakes ring games, Flynt's game is held in a corner of the casino's main poker room floor. Regulars at the table include Phil Ivey, Barry Greenstein, and Ted Forrest. Another regular was Chip Reese before his death. The casino was featured in an episode of LA to Vegas, as a casino on the strip in Las Vegas.

California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH, CSU Dominguez Hills, or Cal State Dominguez Hills) is a public university in Carson, California. It was founded in 1960 and is part of the California State University (CSU) system.In 2020, the university had an enrollment of 17,763 students, comprising 15,873 undergraduates (89.4%) and 1,890 post baccalaureates (10.6%). About half of all students identify as the first in their families to go to college. CSUDH is one of the most ethnically and economically diverse universities in the western United States. It enrolls the largest number and percentage of African American students of any CSU campus.CSUDH offers 53 bachelor's degree programs, 26 Masters programs, a variety of single, multi-subject and specialized teaching credentials, and undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate certificate programs within its six colleges: College of Arts and Humanities, College of Business Administration and Public Policy, College of Education, College of Extended and International Education, College of Health, Human Services and Nursing, and College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences. Dignity Health Sports Park is a multi-use sports complex located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. The complex consists of the 27,000-seat Dignity Health Sports Park soccer stadium, the Dignity Health Sports Park tennis stadium, a track-and-field facility, and the VELO Sports Center velodrome. It is approximately 14 miles (23 km) south of downtown Los Angeles, and its primary tenant is the LA Galaxy of Major League Soccer (MLS). The main stadium was also home to the Los Angeles Wildcats of the XFL in 2020. The LA Galaxy II of MLS Next Pro play their home matches at the complex's track and field facility. For 2020 and 2021, the stadium served as the temporary home of the San Diego State Aztecs football team. Opened in 2003, the $150 million complex was developed and is operated by the Anschutz Entertainment Group. With a seating capacity of 27,000, it is the second largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States, after Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee, and the third-largest among its kind in MLS, after Geodis Park and BMO Field in Toronto. During its first decade, the stadium was known as Home Depot Center through a naming rights deal with hardware retailer The Home Depot. In 2013, the name was changed to StubHub Center after naming rights were sold to online ticket marketplace StubHub. The current name, from healthcare provider Dignity Health, debuted in 2019. Avalon station is a elevated light rail station on the C Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located in the median of Interstate 105 (Century Freeway), above Avalon Boulevard, after which the station is named, in the unincorporated neighborhood of Green Meadows. The original name for the station was Avalon Blvd/I-105, but was later simplified to just Avalon.

The Dominguez Oil Field is a large oil field underneath Dominguez Hills near Carson, California and the California State University, Dominguez Hills. It was a major oil producer from 1923 through 1960. Starting in 2010, oil companies became interested in redeveloping the field using modern extraction technologies.
