Petawawa River

Petawawa ( PET-ə-WAW-waw) is a town located in the eastern portion of Southern Ontario. Situated in the Ottawa Valley, with a population of 18,160 (2021 Census), Petawawa is the most populous municipality in Renfrew County.

4 Canadian Division Support Base Petawawa, commonly referred to as Garrison Petawawa, is located in Petawawa, Ontario. It is operated as an army base by the Canadian Army.

Pem-Air operated regularly scheduled air service between Pembroke Airport and Toronto for 31 years, ending its scheduled operation in December, 2000.GO Air Express operated briefly from November 2002 to April 2003. with flights to Toronto.Since 2003 there has been no full-time tenant, but the airport is used by Ministry of Natural Resources (Ontario) water bombers.

Sheenboro is a village and municipality in the Outaouais region, part of the Pontiac Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada. It was formerly known as Sheen-Esher-Aberdeen-et-Malakoff. The Fort William Trading Post (now Hotel Pontiac), including the factor's house and church, is a historical site and heritage village with a popular beach in the summer. It is also home to a sacred Algonquin burial ground.

The Barron River (French: rivière Barron) is a river in the Saint Lawrence River drainage basin in Nipissing District and Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada. It flows from Clemow Lake in northern Algonquin Provincial Park and joins the Petawawa River, whose southern branch it forms, in the municipality of Laurentian Hills, near the municipality of Petawawa.The river is named after Barron Township through which it flows, which in turn was named in honour of John Augustus Barron.A popular canoe route passes through and a hiking trail leads to the edge of the Barron Canyon.

The transmitter is on Round Lake Road in Pembroke, near the Trans-Canada Highway (Ontario Highway 17).

Laurentian Valley is a township municipality in Renfrew County in eastern Ontario, Canada. It borders on the Ottawa River, the city of Pembroke and the town of Petawawa. This township was created on January 1, 2000, from the former townships of Stafford-Pembroke and Alice and Fraser.

École élémentaire et secondaire publique l'Équinoxe is a primary and secondary school in Pembroke, Ontario. The school opened in September 1999 with 75 students from kindergarten to grade 8. The following year, a grade 9 was added, and a grade 10 the year after. The first graduation at l'Équinoxe was in 2006. With the student population growing every year, the school moved to a bigger building in 2007. The school now has more than 250 students from kindergarten to grade 12. In this school they only speak French with one English class every other day from grade 4 to 12.
