Midtown South is a macro-neighborhood of the borough of Manhattan in New York City, generally characterized as constituting the southern portion of Midtown Manhattan. Midtown Manhattan hosts over 700,000 daily employees as a busy hub for workers, residents, and tourists. The Empire State Building, the Flatiron Building, Pennsylvania Station, Madison Square Garden, the Macy's Herald Square flagship store, Koreatown, and NYU Langone Medical Center are all located in Midtown South.

The Armenian Evangelical Church of New York, the oldest Armenian institution in the New York metropolitan area, was founded in 1896. It is located at 152 East 34th Street, in Manhattan, New York City.Rev. H.H. Khazoyan was the first pastor of the church. Services were initially conducted at the Adams Memorial Presbyterian Church, but in 1923, a building originally planned as a bank on 34th Street, its current location, was acquired.Rev. Antranig Bedikian served the church for nearly 40 years (1915-1953). The current pastor is Rev. Dr. Haig Kherlopian. It is a member church of the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America.

The Sniffen Court Historic District is a small close-ended mews, running perpendicularly southwest from East 36th Street, between Third and Lexington Avenues in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. The district, one of the smallest in New York City, encompasses the entire alley, which consists of 10 two-story brick stables built in 1863-1864 in the early Romanesque Revival style. The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission designated Sniffen Court as a city historic district on June 21, 1966, and the district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 28, 1973.

The James F. D. Lanier Residence, also known as the James F. D. and Harriet Lanier House is an 11,638 sq ft (1,081.2 m2) historic house located at 123 East 35th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City.

The Permanent Mission of Armenia to the United Nations (Armenian: Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպությունում Հայաստանի մշտական ներկայացուցչություն) is the diplomatic mission of Armenia to the United Nations.

The 34th Street station was a local station on the demolished IRT Third Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. The station was served by Third Avenue local trains and a shuttle to the 34th Street Ferry. Third Ave service originally had two tracks and two side platforms. During the Dual Contracts, a center express track was built. The shuttle to the ferry was served by two tracks and an island platform attached to the northbound side platform. North of the station the westbound track of the shuttle merged with the main line.

The Norman Thomas High School for Business and Commercial Education was a public high school (closed in June 2014) in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City under the New York City Department of Education. Formerly known as Central Commercial High School (CCHS), and before that, the Central School of Business and Arts, its former location was on 42nd Street in a structure constructed with a 20-story office building in the air rights above it. It was renamed after Presbyterian minister and Socialist activist Norman Thomas and moved to occupy the first nine floors of 3 Park Avenue, a 42-story skyscraper on East 33rd Street at Park Avenue in 1975. The high school was originally designed to train students for secretarial and commercial occupations such as accounting, bookkeeping, merchandising and salesmanship, clerical skills, stenography and typing. As of 1940, every senior at Central Commercial High School was required to complete four weeks of work in an office during the last semester. In later years, this expanded to include such topics as data processing and physical distribution

The Soldiers', Sailors', Marines', Coast Guard and Airmen's Club was a private social club founded in 1919 and located at 283 Lexington Avenue between East 36th and 37th Streets in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It was the only private organization in the New York area accommodating U.S. servicemen and servicewomen at subsidized rates. It also catered to military retirees and veterans and their families.

Penny Cafeteria was a vegetarian restaurant located at 511 Third Avenue (Manhattan) between 34th Street and 35th Street. It opened during the Great Depression, in December 1931. The establishment was opened by the Bernarr MacFadden Foundation, begun by publisher Bernarr MacFadden, in September 1930. MacFadden based the concept on a similar business he opened in the winter of 1902, located at City Hall Place. The philanthropist had resources of $5,000,000. It enabled the unemployed of New York City to buy food at 1 cent per dish and they could also purchase a five-course meal for 5 cents. From its opening on December 29, 1931, Penny Cafeteria served meals to 2,500 to 3,000 customers per day. On opening day, the restaurant offered cracked wheat, Scotch oatmeal, lima bean soup, green pea soup, soaked prunes, seeded raisins, whole wheat bread, butter, raisin coffee, and cereal coffee. MacFadden initially planned to keep the eatery open until May 1932. Food was sold at about cost and was provided twenty-four hours daily when demand warranted.In July 1940, a penny cafeteria opened at the Bowery branch of the Y.M.C.A. at 8 East Third Street. On its first day, July 1, the establishment served more than 900 needy youths. The cafeteria was funded by proceeds of the Wilhem Loewenstein Foundation. It offered three meals for twenty-five cents.

The Robb House, located at 23 Park Avenue on the corner of East 35th Street in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City is a townhouse built in 1888-92 and designed in the Italian Renaissance revival style by McKim, Mead & White, with Stanford White as the partner-in-charge.

The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations (CoP; commonly Presidents' Conference) is an American non-profit organization that addresses issues of critical concern to the Jewish community, and the state of Israel in particular. It comprises 51 national Jewish organizations. It was founded to develop a consensus voice among Jewish organizations in dealings with the executive branch. On August 4, 2019, Jewish News Syndicate reported that William Daroff will replace Malcolm Hoenlein as the CEO of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

World Center for Women's Archives was an organization established by Rosika Schwimmer and Mary Ritter Beard in the hopes of creating an educational collection which women could consult to learn about the history of women. The center was located in the Biltmore Hotel at 41 Park Avenue in New York City. It closed in 1940, but the efforts made to establish a center to collect records encouraged several colleges and universities to begin develop similar archives of women's history. It was one of the earliest efforts to collect women's documents in the United States, predated the first accredited women's studies course in the U.S by 34 years, and preserved materials about women which otherwise might have been lost. It also redefined the way that historical documents were selected for archival inclusion. By changing what documents were noteworthy, using personal records to shape public history, the Women's Archive legacy was foundational to the development of feminist theory.
