Brown County High School is a public high school in Nashville, Indiana.

Nashville is a town in Washington Township, Brown County, Indiana, United States. The population was 803 at the 2010 census. The town is the county seat of Brown County and is the county's only incorporated town. The town is best known as the center of the Brown County Art Colony and as a tourist destination.

Brown County Courthouse Historic District is a historic courthouse and national historic district located at Nashville, Brown County, Indiana. It encompasses three contributing buildings: the courthouse, Old Log Jail, and the Historical Society Museum Building. The Brown County Courthouse was built in 1873–1874, and is a two-story, Greek Revival style brick building. It has a gable roof and two-tiered, flat-roofed frame tower. The Old Log Jail was built in 1879, and is a small two-story log building. It measures 12 feet by 20 feet, and was used as a jail until 1922. The Historical Society Museum Building, or Brown County Community Building, is a two-story, rectangular log building. It was moved to its present location in 1936–1937. The Works Progress Administration funded the reconstruction and remodeling of the building.: 2–4 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

F.P. Taggart Store, also known as the Hobnob Corner Restaurant, is a historic general store located at Nashville, Brown County, Indiana. It was built between 1870 and 1875, and is a two-story, balloon frame building measuring 24 feet wide by 90 feet deep. The interior retains a number of original features including oak pane flooring.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Weed Patch Hill, also known as Weed Patch Knob (1,058 feet or 322 m), is the third highest named summit in the U.S. state of Indiana. Located in Washington Township and Brown County State Park, it is the highest point in the Knobstone Escarpment. In Indiana, only Hoosier Hill (1,257 feet or 383 m) in Wayne County and Sand Hill (1,076 feet or 328 m) in Noble County are higher. Weed Patch Hill was so named by an early settler after a tornado had flattened a stand of trees and weeds grew in its place.

The Knobstone Escarpment is a rugged geologic region in Southern Indiana. Physically, the Knobstone Escarpment is the most rugged terrain in Indiana. The highest hill in the area is Weed Patch Hill, with an elevation of 1,060 feet above sea level. The escarpment's most prominent feature is its steep hills, often called "knobs", and ravines. Brown County State Park features views from the region's highest elevations. This bold ridge, towering hundreds of feet above the Scottsburg Lowland to the east, extends from southern Johnson County 150 miles southward across the Ohio River into Kentucky. These scenic hills mark the easternmost extension of rocks forming the rugged country of the Norman Upland to the west. The Hills of Brown County are a well-known example of Norman Upland topography.The Knobstone Escarpment is composed of resistant siltstones of the upper part of Borden Group rocks. Older and more easily eroded shales to the east form the Scottsburg Lowland; a thick section of soluble limestones form the undulating Mitchell Plain west of the Norman Upland.

Camp Roberts is an unincorporated community in Washington Township, Brown County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.

Washington Township is one of four townships in Brown County, Indiana. As of the 2010 census, its population was 4,896 and it contained 2,519 housing units. The township includes the northern portion of Brown County State Park.

Beanblossom, also spelled Bean Blossom, is an unincorporated community in Jackson Township, Brown County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The town was named for the nearby Beanblossom Creek, which was in turn named for a person whose surname was Beanblossom.

Gnaw Bone is an unincorporated community in Washington Township, Brown County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. Gnaw Bone is situated on State Highway 46, between Nashville and Columbus. The small community contains three flea markets.

Brown County Bridge No. 36, also known as Hickory Hill Road Bridge and Wrightsman Bridge, is a historic Pratt through truss bridge located at Washington Township, Brown County, Indiana. It was built by the Pan-American Bridge Company in 1908. It consists of a 90 foot long span and 31 foot, 9 inch, span. It was closed to vehicular traffic in November 1990, but remains open to foot traffic on the Ten O'Clock Treaty Line Trail.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Brown County State Park is located in the United States in the center of the southern half of the state of Indiana. The park is by far the largest of 24 state parks in Indiana, and occupies 15,776 acres (63.84 km2)—making it one of the larger state parks in the United States. It is among Indiana's most visited state parks with about 1.2 million visitors annually. Although Bloomington, Indiana, is the closest city, the park is closer to the small town of Nashville in Brown County. Brown County is named for General Jacob Brown, who fought in the War of 1812 and became Commanding General of the United States Army. The park opened in 1929, and was dedicated in 1932 as a memorial to Indiana humorist Frank McKinney "Kin" Hubbard. Although Hubbard lived and worked in Indianapolis, he was a frequent visitor to Nashville and the surrounding woods. The park's Abe Martin Lodge is named after Hubbard's fictional backwoodsmen character used to convey Hubbard's humor and witticisms. Brown County and its park are known for their scenic views of the hills of southern Indiana. Both are the home of a wide variety of trees that attract visitors each year when the vegetation transforms to its autumn colors. The park also contains many trees that flower in the springtime. Visitors will find a rustic atmosphere, enhanced by an infrastructure that was mostly constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s. In addition to the park's lodge, cabins can be rented and campsites are available. The park has trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. It has two lakes for fishing that complement the surrounding forests and provide a water source for the local wildlife. The area's beauty attracts artists and photographers worldwide.
