KOKO (previously called The Music Machine and Camden Palace) is a concert venue and former theatre in Camden Town, London, England. The building was known as Camden Palace from 1982 until its 2004 purchase and extensive restoration, led by Oliver Bengough and Mint Entertainment. Since, the club has been known as KOKO and serves as one of the premier live music venues in London.On the evening of 6 January 2020, a large fire broke out in the building.

Buttoned Down Disco is a large and long-running London nightclub playing indie and electro founded by Christian Laing and Rachel Laing in 2002, with Christian as the resident DJ.The first night was in October 2002. The location of the club was revealed after an electronic invitation was requested. A pioneering concept at the time. In 2006, Buttoned Down Disco became a resident at KOKO. Buttoned Down Disco has also taken place in major festivals including Glastonbury, Lovebox, Reading and Latitude.Buttoned Down Disco took its name from the third track from Cornershop's disco inspired album Disco and the Halfway to Discontent as part of their side-project, Clinton. The club then influenced the song "M.R.S.T." by The Electric Riot where "Buttoned Down Discos" were mentioned in the lyrics.

The statue of Richard Cobden is a Grade II listed statue on Camden High Street near Mornington Crescent tube station. Richard Cobden was a politician who campaigned against the Corn Laws; his Corn Law League used revolutionary tactics of targeting the electorate for a particular cause in contrast to the looser coalitions of the Tories and Whigs. Cobden does not appear to have had any formal connection to Camden Town, yet it was there that a small group of his admirers formed a committee to raise funds for the statue. Napoleon III is described as the most significant contributor to the fund on the statue, probably as a result of Cobden's internationalist stance, although there is limited evidence for this claim. With capital being limited, a concert was held at the Agricultural Hall in Islington in a last-minute attempt to raise funds. The statue is of Sicilian marble and was designed by the Wills Brothers. Cobden's widow would attempt to aid in its design by posing in her husband's most characteristic stance. It was unveiled in 1868. It has been claimed to be among the cheapest and worst statues in London.

The Burma Railway Memorial is a memorial near Mornington Crescent tube station, in Camden High Street, London, to the thousands of British civilian and military prisoners of war in the Far East who died of disease, starvation or maltreatment while building the Burma Railway during the Second World War . The memorial was designed by Chris Roche of 11.04 Architects, following a campaign in the Camden New Journal, and features a granite slab supported by short crossed sections of wooden railway sleepers and metal rails, mounted on a white circular plinth. The slab bears an inscription, and is also inscribed with an image of an emaciated Far East prisoner of war (FEPOW) drawn by the artist Ronald Searle, who was himself forced to work on the Burma Railway.The memorial was unveiled on 21 September 2012 by John Slim, 2nd Viscount Slim, whose father, Field Marshal William Slim, 1st Viscount Slim, commanded the 14th Army in the Burma Campaign during the Second World War.

Camden Town Library, also referred to as Camden Town Public Library, is a public library in the London Borough of Camden, England. It is located on the ground floor of Crowndale Centre in Camden Town.

Harrington Square is a garden square in the Camden Town area of London, England. It is located at the northern end of Hampstead Road and next to Mornington Crescent tube station. Despite its name, Harrington Square is a triangle, bordered to the west by Hampstead Road and bordered to the north-east by south by properties addressed as 'Harrington Square' itself. In the middle is Harrington Square Gardens which is a public green space. Numbers 15 to 24, which form the entirety of the north-eastern side except Hurdwick House, are grade II listed buildings. The south side of the square is dominated by the Ampthill Square Estate. The square was laid out in 1843 as part of the Bedford Estate. Soon after being built, it was home to William Mudford and to Margaret Oliphant. Alexander Graham Bell lived in Harrington Square with his grandfather when a teenager, in what Bell called "the turning point of my whole career". Oliver Lodge lived in the square.Harrington Square was originally part of a pair of squares, with Mornington Crescent Gardens on the other side of Hampstead Road, but Mornington Crescent Gardens were built on to create the Carreras Cigarette Factory, which fronts on to Harrington Square, in the 1920s. The south side of the square originally had terraces similar to the listed north-eastern side, but was bombed in World War II and replaced by the modern Ampthill Square Estate.Harrington Square has been the location of a number of murders recently, including one in 2012, one in 2018 and one in 2020.

The Carreras Cigarette Factory is a large art deco building in Camden, London, in the United Kingdom. It is noted as a striking example of early 20th Century Egyptian Revival architecture. The building was erected in 1926–28 by the Carreras Tobacco Company owned by the Russian-Jewish inventor and philanthropist Bernhard Baron on the communal garden area of Mornington Crescent, to a design by architects M. E. and O. H. Collins and A. G. Porri. It is 550 feet (168 metres) long, and is mainly white. The building's distinctive Egyptian-style ornamentation originally included a solar disc to the Sun-god Ra, two gigantic effigies of black cats flanking the entrance and colourful painted details. When the factory was converted into offices in 1961 the Egyptian detailing was lost, but it was restored during a renovation in the late 1990s, and replicas of the cats were placed outside the entrance.The building is located at the northern end of Hampstead Road and faces out over Harrington Square.

Mornington Crescent is a terraced street in Camden Town, Camden, London, England. It was built in the 1820s, on a greenfield site just to the north of central London. Many of the houses were subdivided into flats during the Victorian era, and what was the street's communal garden is now the Carreras Building.

Oakley Square is a crescent-shaped garden square in Somers Town in Central London, close to Mornington Crescent and Camden Town. It is located in the London Borough of Camden and runs roughly northeastwards from Eversholt Street meeting with the southern end of Camden Street on its eastern side. It was originally part of the Bedford Estate belonging to the Dukes of Bedford, and takes its name from the village of Oakley in Bedfordshire which belonged to the family from the eighteenth century. It was laid out in the early Victorian era, later than nearby Mornington Crescent and Arlington Road and around the same time as Harrington Square. On the northern side some of the Victorian terraced housing still exists as well as the redbrick Working Men's College established in 1854. On the southern side the original buildings have been replaced by more recent developments. The Godwin Court Council apartment block was built on the east end of the square on a large bomb site, there was also a EWS (Emergency Water Supply) tank on the bomb site, Godwin Court was built after 1946. The white stucco Victorian lodge in the gardens is now Grade II listed as are a number of the houses. From 1854 the square was home to the Anglican St Matthew's Church, designed by John Johnson, but this was later deconsecrated and finally demolished in 1977, although the old vicarage still survives, which is also now Grade II listed.

The Working Men's College (also known as the St Pancras Working Men's College or WMC, The Camden College), is among the earliest adult education institutions established in the United Kingdom, and Europe's oldest extant centre for adult education. Founded by Christian socialists, at its inception it was at the forefront of liberal education philosophy. Today the college has two centres in the London Borough of Camden.

Camden High Street is a short stretch of road (about 900m long, mostly forming part of the A400) in Camden Town, in north-northwest London. It is part of the route from central London to Hampstead. It is the local high street and features major music venues at either end (KOKO, the former Camden Palace, at the southern end and the bridge over Regent's Canal at the northern end). It is a one-way street only allowing vehicular traffic to travel northwards (southbound traffic uses the parallel Camden Street). Travelling north, traffic emerges from Hampstead Road (A400) into the High Street at the junction with Eversholt Street, by Mornington Crescent Underground station. The northern extremity of Camden High Street lies at a bridge over Regent's Canal where the road turns Chalk Farm Road, into the southern end Kentish Town Road (where the A400 continues) and Camden Road. Camden Town Underground station is on the corner between Camden High Street and Kentish Town Road.
