Berlin-Friedenau station

On 5 April 1986, three people were killed and 229 injured when La Belle discothèque was bombed in the Friedenau district of West Berlin. The entertainment venue was commonly frequented by United States soldiers, and two of the dead and 79 of the injured were Americans.Libya was accused by the US government of sponsoring the bombing, and US President Ronald Reagan ordered retaliatory strikes on Tripoli and Benghazi in Libya ten days later. The operation was widely seen as an attempt to kill Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. However, in the bombing's aftermath, this claim was met with widespread skepticism. In 1987, Manfred Ganschow, the head of the West German team investigating the bombing, said that there was no evidence pointing the finger at Libya, a belief which was corroborated by numerous intelligence agencies in Europe at the time, according to a BBC report.: 81  In 2001, following a four-year German trial called murky, and marred by what the court called a "limited willingness" by the American and German governments to share evidence, a court found that the bombing had been "planned by the Libyan Intelligence Service and the Libyan embassy", but absolved Gaddafi of responsibility.

Bundesautobahn 103 (translates from German as Federal Motorway 103, short form Autobahn 103, abbreviated as BAB 103 or A 103) is a short urban Autobahn in Western Berlin, Germany connecting to the A 100. Before reunification, it was called the A 13.

S-Bhf. Berlin Feuerbachstraße is a railway station in the Steglitz locality of Berlin, Germany. It is served by the Berlin S-Bahn and several local bus lines. The station was opened on 15 May 1933 as part of the electrification of the Wannseebahn suburban line. It is 900 metres (980 yd) away from Berlin-Friedenau station and 1.1 kilometres (1,200 yd) away from Steglitz station.

Deutschlandfunk Kultur (German: [ˈdɔʏtʃlantˌfʊŋk kʊlˈtuːɐ̯] (listen); abbreviated to DLF Kultur or DKultur) is a culture-oriented radio station and part of Deutschlandradio, a set of national radio stations in Germany. Initially named DeutschlandRadio Berlin, the station was renamed Deutschlandradio Kultur on 1 April 2005. The present name was adopted on 1 May 2017. The station's studios are in what was the RIAS building at Hans-Rosenthal-Platz in Schöneberg, Berlin.

RIAS (German: Rundfunk im amerikanischen Sektor; English: Radio in the American Sector) was a radio and television station in the American Sector of Berlin during the Cold War. It was founded by the US occupational authorities after World War II in 1946 to provide the German population in and around Berlin with news and political reporting.

Friedenau (German: [ˌfriːdə'naʊ̯] (listen)) is a locality (Ortsteil) within the borough (Bezirk) of Tempelhof-Schöneberg in Berlin, Germany. Relatively small by area, its population density is the highest in the city.

Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the . It opened for service in 1971. The station was built adjacent to "Zum Guten Hirten" church (1893) on Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz, which was named after Friedrich Wilhelm of Prussia, who became emperor under the name Friedrich III, and died after only 99 days' reign. In 1946 there was a proposal to rename the station to Engelsplatz, which was not carried out.

Rathaus Schöneberg (Schöneberg Town Hall) is a station on the line of the Berlin underground train network. Designed by architect Johann Emil Schaudt, who also built the Bismarck Monument in Hamburg, the station was first opened in 1910 as Stadtpark (City Park). From 1940 to 1951 it was closed due to damage sustained during the Second World War. It re-opened under the current name in 1951.

Walther-Schreiber-Platz is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the line in Steglitz-Zehlendorf. Built from 1967 to 1969, the station is located completely under the Bundesallee, which flows into Walther-Schreiber-Platz. The station was opened on January 29, 1971, and until September 1974 was the southern terminus of the former Line 9.

Berlin-Schöneberg (in German Bahnhof Berlin-Schöneberg) is a railway station in the district of Schöneberg, in the city of Berlin, Germany. It is a two-level exchange station serving the Wannseebahn suburban and the Ringbahn circular lines of the Berlin S-Bahn, with the lower level serving the Wannseebahn and the upper level the Ringbahn. The station lies just south of the Dominicusstraße and Sachsendamm streets, where local bus stops allow changing between S-Bahn and busses. The Schöneberg station was opened on 1 March 1933 as a two-level exchange station between the Wannseebahn suburban line and the Berlin Ringbahn circular railway, in the course of the electrification of the Wannseebahn suburban line. Its Ringbahn level replaced the older Ebersstraße station on the Ringbahn, which was located slightly further west. The entry of the closed station was kept as entry to the western end of the Ringbahn platform of the new exchange station.The closure of the Ebersstraße station gave room for the building of the new Berlin Innsbrucker Platz station, opened on 1 July 1933, further west, on the Schloßstraße - Hauptstraße - Potsdamer Straße thoroughfare, with direct connection to the Schöneberg underground U-Bahn. With the opening of this new Schöneberg station, the old Schöneberg station which was located just north of the bridge which is now called Julius-Leber-Brücke was renamed to Kolonnenstraße; close to the site of the Berlin Julius-Leber-Brücke station.

Berlin Bundesplatz is a railway station in the Wilmersdorf district of Berlin. It is served by the S-Bahn lines , and and the U-Bahn line . The underground station opened in 1971 was built by R.G. Rümmler next to a highway tunnel. There is no direct connection between the two directions of the subways because the platforms are located on the right of each highway direction. Mentionable is the different color scheme on the stations heading north–south. On one are blue and white panels and on the other beige/white panels. The station was renovated in 2004.
