Linping Road station

The Shanghai Ghetto, formally known as the Restricted Sector for Stateless Refugees, was an area of approximately one square mile in the Hongkew district of Japanese-occupied Shanghai (the ghetto was located in the southern Hongkou and southwestern Yangpu districts which formed part of the Shanghai International Settlement). The area included the community around the Ohel Moshe Synagogue. Shanghai was notable for a long period as the only place in the world that unconditionally offered refuge for Jews escaping from the Nazis. After the Japanese occupied all of Shanghai in 1941, the Japanese army forced about 23,000 of the city's Jewish refugees to be restricted or relocated to the Shanghai Ghetto from 1941 to 1945 by the Proclamation Concerning Restriction of Residence and Business of Stateless Refugees. It was one of the poorest and most crowded areas of the city. Local Jewish families and American Jewish charities aided them with shelter, food, and clothing. The Japanese authorities increasingly stepped up restrictions, surrounded the ghetto with barbed wire, and the local Chinese residents, whose living conditions were often as bad, did not leave. By 21 August 1941, the Japanese government closed Shanghai to Jewish immigration.

Tilanqiao (simplified Chinese: 提篮桥; traditional Chinese: 提籃橋; pinyin: Tílánqiáo; Shanghainese: dhilejhiao [dìlᴇ̋dʑiɔ᷆]) is a station on Line 12 of the Shanghai Metro, which opened on 29 December 2013.

Shanghai North Bund Center (上海北外滩中心), also known as the North Bund Tower, is a 480 meter skyscraper under construction in Shanghai's Hongkou District. Designed by American architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox, when completed it will have 99 stories above the ground and four below ground, and will be the tallest building in Puxi.

Service began on Line 4 on 31 December 2005, while the interchange with Line 12 opened on 29 December 2013 with the initial, eastern section of that line from Tiantong Road to Jinhai Road.

The Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum is a museum commemorating the Jewish refugees who lived in Shanghai during World War II after fleeing Europe to escape the Holocaust. It is located at the former Ohel Moshe or Moishe Synagogue, in the Tilanqiao Historic Area of Hongkou district, Shanghai, China. The museum features documents, photographs, films, and personal items documenting the lives of some of the more than 20,000 Jewish residents of the Restricted Sector for Stateless Refugees, better known as the Shanghai Ghetto, during the Japanese occupation of Shanghai.

Hailun Road (simplified Chinese: 海伦路; traditional Chinese: 海倫路; pinyin: Hǎilún Lù) is the name of an interchange station between Lines 4 and 10 of the Shanghai Metro, and is located in the city's Hongkou District. Service began on Line 4 on 31 December 2005, while the interchange with Line 10 opened on 10 April 2010 as part of that line's initial section between Xinjiangwancheng and Hangzhong Road. Towards anti-clockwise on Line 4, this is the last station before sharing with Line 3.

The Tilanqiao Prison (Chinese: 提篮桥监狱), formerly known as the Ward Road Gaol or Shanghai Municipal Gaol, is a former prison in Hongkou District of Shanghai, China. Originally built in the foreign-controlled Shanghai International Settlement, following the Chinese Revolution it run by the Chinese Ministry of Public Security. Throughout the first forty or so years of its life it was the largest prison in the world and earned a reputation as the "Alcatraz of the Orient".

Factory Shanghai (simplified Chinese: 意工场; traditional Chinese: 意工場; pinyin: yìgōngchǎng) is a stand-alone creative space located at the art deco Shanghai landmark 1933 creative complex in the Hongkou District of Shanghai, China about five minutes north of The Bund. The concept was created and produced by global digital marketing agency Profero. 意工场 Factory is made up of open inter-connected components which include creative workshops, galleries, exhibits, retail, members bar, lounge, restaurant, and website linking and engaging the world.

International Cruise Terminal (simplified Chinese: 国际客运中心; traditional Chinese: 國際客運中心; pinyin: Guójì Kèyùn Zhōngxīn) is a station on the Shanghai Metro Line 12, which opened 29 December 2013.

1933 (or "Old Millfun") is a complex of restaurants and shops in Hongkou District of Shanghai, China. The poured-concrete structures once housed the Shanghai Municipal Council Slaughterhouse, the largest slaughterhouse in Shanghai at the time.

Youdian Xincun (simplified Chinese: 邮电新村; traditional Chinese: 郵電新村; pinyin: Yóudiàn Xīncūn) is a station on Line 10 of the Shanghai Metro. It began operation on April 10, 2010. It is located at Siping Road and Quyang Road.
