Edmonton ( (listen) ED-mən-tən) is the capital city of the Canadian province of Alberta. Edmonton is situated on the North Saskatchewan River and is the centre of the Edmonton Metropolitan Region, which is surrounded by Alberta's central region. The city anchors the north end of what Statistics Canada defines as the "Calgary–Edmonton Corridor".As of 2021, Edmonton had a city population of 1,010,899 and a metropolitan population of 1,418,118, making it the fifth-largest city and sixth-largest metropolitan area (CMA) in Canada. It hosts a year-round slate of festivals, reflected in the nickname "Canada's Festival City". Edmonton House is a 45-storey building located in downtown Edmonton, Alberta. Opened as an apartment hotel, the building was re-branded into a hotel in 2006 before converting back in 2013. It stands at 121 metres (397 ft). When it was completed in 1971 it was the second tallest building in Edmonton, 13.3 metres (44 ft) shorter than AGT Tower which topped out just months before.

ATB Place, formerly Telus Plaza, is an office complex in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Originally built as the headquarters of Alberta Government Telephones (AGT), the two office towers in the complex–ATB Place Tower and TELUS house–are now separately owned and serve as the headquarters of ATB Financial and the Alberta provincial headquarters for Telus, respectively. The south tower, TELUS House (formerly TELUS Plaza South, and originally the AGT Tower (Alberta Government Telephones Tower)), was completed in 1971, at a cost of Can$22 million. It was Edmonton's tallest building until Manulife Place was completed in 1981. It is 134.4 metres (34 storeys) tall. For many years the 33rd floor was home to Vista 33, a telephone and telecommunications museum. There was also an observation deck which afforded panoramic views of Edmonton from what was then the city's tallest building. Vista 33 was closed in 1993.ATB Tower is 90 metres tall (26 storeys, 296 feet) and was completed in 1969. It contains retail space at the ground level and via Edmonton Pedway system to the Edmonton LRT in the concourse of ATB Place. The concourse courtyard was added after TELUS moved in and renovated it. It opened as McCauley Plaza, named after the first mayor of Edmonton, in which a bronze bust was displayed. The location was later renamed TELUS Plaza. After the name change to ATB Place, the bust was removed from public viewing. A third building, the two storey ATB Place annex, is located at the southeast corner of the complex. Originally the home of the (now defunct) Edmonton Club, later the main office of an engineering firm, it is currently occupied by a career college. Prior to the construction of the AGT buildings, this site was the home of the main branch of the Edmonton Public Library, which stood there from 1923 to 1969.

The James MacDonald Bridge is a bridge that spans the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Construction of the bridge began in the early 1960s and was completed in October 1971. The bridge was named after city engineer James MacDonald.This span was designed to carry the 5 westbound collector lanes of the south leg of the "downtown freeway loop", as conceived under the "METS" design study. This explains the "overbuilt" appearance of the still existing interchange system on the east side of the North Saskatchewan River and the truncated appearance of the ramps at the east end of the bridge. Most of these ramp alignments were sited as temporary connectors under the phased construction planning, yet continue to serve in their original state. If this project had proceeded through to its ultimate stage, three additional spans would have been erected at this location, all south of the existing one. Upon completion, the entire area at the east end of this bridge would have been occupied by a massive three level cloverstack interchange serving the south and east legs of the downtown loop, the planned 98 ave 6 lane arterial (indicated as "future freeway" on the ultimate stage drawing), and the southeast (Mill Creek) freeway. The Mill Creek Freeway was to run south following the current 91 Street alignment, ultimately joining Highway 2 in the vicinity of Nisku. The reference provided shows the entire conceptual design for this project. The current tunnel carrying 97 Avenue underground to 109 St. is another part of this large project. The bridge connects the communities of Cloverdale on the east end to Rossdale on the west end.

Amii was established in 2002 to drive innovation in the artificial intelligence space and partner with companies to adopt and grow the technology. Since their inception, Amii have worked with more than 300 companies to translate knowledge, talent and technology into industry and secured $600M+ in venture financing, including $450M raised by Canadian-based companies.Along with Montreal's Mila and Toronto's Vector Institute, Amii is a member of the Pan-Canadian Artificial Intelligence Strategy.

Central station is an Edmonton Light Rail Transit station in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It serves both the Capital Line and the Metro Line. It is an underground station located beneath Jasper Avenue between 100 Street and 101 Street.

The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald, formerly and commonly known as the Hotel Macdonald (colloquially known as The Mac), is a large historic luxury hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Located along 100 Street NW, south of Jasper Avenue, the hotel is situated in the eastern end of downtown Edmonton, and overlooks the North Saskatchewan River. The 47.7-metre-high (156 ft) hotel building was designed by Ross and MacFarlene and contains eleven floors. The hotel is named for the first prime minister of Canada, Sir John A. Macdonald. The Grand Trunk Pacific Railway Company opened the hotel on 5 July 1915. Built as an early-20th century railway hotel, the Châteauesque-styled building is considered one of Canada's grand railway hotels. Following Grand Trunk's 1919 bankruptcy, Canadian National Hotels assumed management of the hotel. The building has undergone several renovations since its opening, and an expansion wing to the hotel building was added in 1953. In 1983, Canadian National Hotels ceased operations, and demolished the building's expansion wing in the same year. The hotel property was later sold to Canadian Pacific Hotels in 1988, and was restored and reopened to the public in May 1991. The hotel is currently managed by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.

New Cambridge Lofts is an eighteen-storey historic building located in Downtown Edmonton. Converted from an office building into condos, New Cambridge Lofts now contains over 200 residential and commercial condo units.

The Starlite Room is a 1925 brick building in Downtown Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, one block south of Jasper Avenue, the city's main street. The building was originally built as a "citadel" (church or place of worship) for the Salvation Army. By 1965 it was converted into the first venue of the Citadel Theatre company, with the company taking its name from the name of the building. After the company moved to a new purpose-built theatre building on Churchill Square in 1978, the building was converted to a concert hall and bar. The concert venue inside was for many years named the Rev Cabaret. Under this name, it hosted a variety of concerts including early 1990s shows of then-unknown American bands Nirvana and Green Day. In 2003 the Rev closed, and was reopened as the Starlite Room in 2004, which operates as a members-only club. The lounge/bar downstairs is called "River City Revival House" which opened in 2018. Boocha, the first kombucha brewery in Edmonton, moved into the historic building in the fall of 2017.

Scotia Place is an office tower complex in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that was completed in 1983. It is located at 10060 Jasper Avenue in the heart of Downtown Edmonton. It is home to several long term tenants such as Grant Thornton, APEGGA, Ernst & Young, Duncan Craig LLP and Edmonton Transit. The namesake of the complex is Scotiabank. The tallest tower in the complex is Scotia 1, with 28 floors reaching 113 m (371 ft). Followed by Scotia 2, with 21 floors reaching 88 m (289 ft).
