Elgin Military Museum

Elgin—Middlesex—London is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1997. It was created in 1996 from Elgin—Norfolk, Lambton—Middlesex, and London—Middlesex ridings. This riding lost territory to London—Fanshawe during the 2012 electoral redistribution.

Jumbo the Elephant is a concrete and reinforced steel statue by Canadian artist Winston Bronnum. The statue was commissioned by the city of St. Thomas, Ontario to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of Jumbo, a circus elephant that was killed in the community after being struck by a train. The city funded the $70,000 sculpture in part with the sale of Indiana Jones-style hats and commemorative coins. The statue was constructed at Bronnum's Animaland Park in Sussex, New Brunswick and transported 1,722 kilometres to St. Thomas. For ease of transport the upper legs and body were poured separately from the base and lower legs. The statue weighs 38 tonnes, while the base weighs 100 tonnes.

Built between 1822 and 1824, the St. Thomas Anglican Church, today called the Old St. Thomas Church, is one of the oldest structures in St. Thomas, Ontario The Church was continuously used between its founding and 1877. The church was made a designated heritage property in 1982.

Elgin—Middlesex—London is a provincial electoral district in southwestern Ontario, Canada. It elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. It was created in 1999 from all of Elgin and parts of Middlesex and London South. When the riding was created, it included all of Elgin County plus the townships of Delaware and North Dorchester, and that part of London south of a line following Dingman Creek to Southdale Road to White Oak Road to Exeter Road to Meg Drive to Jalna Boulevard to Ernest Avenue to Bradley Avenue to the Wenige Expressway to Arran Place to Bradley Avenue. In 2007, it lost Delaware Township but gained all of Thames Centre.

Alma College was a girls' private school in St. Thomas, Ontario, in Canada. Built in 1878, the school was in operation between 1881 and 1988. The college closed in 1988 in part due to a teacher's strike. Primary school and music classes were still taught on campus until 1994. Following its closure the school building was used as a set for several movie productions; Silent Hill (interior shots), its image is included in the 2009 film Orphan and the made-for-TV movie, Mr. Headmistress (1997). The building was destroyed by a fire on May 28, 2008.

Arthur Voaden Secondary School (often abbreviated as AVSS) is a high school in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. Voaden is part of the Thames Valley District School Board.

North America Railway Hall of Fame (NARHF) is a not-for-profit organization housed in the recently restored Canada Southern Railway Station in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. It was founded to maintain, preserve and honor railway history with the induction into the Hall of Fame of people, events, structures, railway art forms, rolling stock, technical innovations, railway workers and trains, and inventions in the railway history. Incorporated in 1996 its goal is to educate the public about the impact of railway transportation in the categories of "North America," as well as "National", specific to Canada and "Local" (St. Thomas.)

The Canada Southern Railway Station (CASO) is a former railway station in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. The station was built by the Canada Southern Railway (CSR) in 1873 as both a railway station and its corporate headquarters. It was one of the busiest stations in Canada during the 1920s. Train traffic ceased in the 1980s.CASO became a protected heritage building in the late-1980s and was purchased by the North America Railway Hall of Fame (NARHF) in 2005.

CKZM-FM is a radio station which broadcasts at 94.1 MHz on the FM dial in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. It airs an adult contemporary format branded as 94.1 myFM. It is owned by My Broadcasting Corporation, it was licensed by the CRTC on October 12, 2010.MBC is a corporation controlled by Jon Pole and Andrew Dickson. The Station began operations on Friday May 20, 2011 at 12:00 PM (noon).

St. Thomas is a city in southwestern Ontario, Canada. It gained its city charter on March 4, 1881. The city is also the seat for Elgin County, although it is independent of the county. At the time of the 2021 Census, the population of the city was 42,918.

The Elgin County Railway Museum is a rail transport museum in St. Thomas, Ontario. The museum and most of the collections are housed in the former Michigan Central Railroad locomotive shops. Built in 1913, the shops were part of more extensive servicing facilities on the Canada Southern Railway. The museum acquired the facility in 1988 when the last owners, Canadian National Railway and Canadian Pacific Railway, left the area. The museum finally occupied the building in 1988. In 2009 15 acres of railway lands were acquired.The museum uses trackage from the museum that runs west and then south of the Museum. The line is used for the annual Day Out with Thomas ride. The nearby BX Tower was preserved and occupied by the museum but owned by the City of St. Thomas.

Parkside Collegiate Institute (PCI), with a population of over 1,000 students, is the largest of four secondary schools in St. Thomas, Ontario. It is part of the Thames Valley District School Board. Parkside was built to replace one of the original schools in St. Thomas, the former St. Thomas Collegiate Institute.
