Ala Moana, Honolulu

Ala Moana Center station is a planned Honolulu Rail Transit station in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is part of the fourth HART segment, scheduled to open in 2031. It will be located nearby the Ala Moana Center. The Hawaiian Station Name Working Group proposed Hawaiian names for the twelve rail stations on the eastern end of the rail system (stations in the Airport and City Center segments) in April 2019. The proposed name for this station, Kālia, means "waited for" and refers to an ʻili near the Waikīkī coast used for salt production and fishponds.

Owned by Brookfield Properties, Ala Moana is the eighth largest shopping mall in the United States and the largest open-air shopping center in the world.Ala Moana is consistently ranked among the most successful malls in the world. With assets totaling $5.74 billion as of January 2018, it is the most valuable shopping mall in the United States. It is anchored by Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Marshalls, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Ross Dress for Less, Saks Off 5th, and Target.

La Ronde was a restaurant in Honolulu, Hawaii. Built in 1961 and designed by John Graham, it was the first revolving restaurant in the United States (preceding the "Eye of the Needle" restaurant in Seattle) and the third of its kind (after the Florian Tower and the Cairo Tower) in the world. The restaurant is now closed.

The Central Ala Moana is a residential skyscraper in the Ala Moana district of Honolulu, Hawaii. Built between 2019 and 2021, the tower stands at 435 ft (133 m) tall with 43 floors and is the current tallest building in Hawaii, among the state's over 90 high-rise buildings.

Vintage Cave Club (formerly known as Vintage Cave Honolulu) is a private club with a restaurant featuring a "French-Japonais" menu in the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. The restaurant contains a collection of artwork that includes a lithograph series by Pablo Picasso. The restaurant is currently open to the public, but offers a private membership program that entitles access to vintage wines & access to its various facilities. The Vintage Cave Club was listed on Zagat in 2014 as one of the twelve hottest restaurants in Hawaii, and listed by Zagat again in 2016 as one of the ten hottest restaurants in Hawaii. President Barack Obama and his family have been seen dining at the restaurant, as have other celebrities and public figures.

KQHU-LP, (98.1 FM), is a new non-commercial FM outlet serving the urban portion of the Honolulu, Hawaii area, which signed on in March 2017 with Chinese-language programming. The station is owned by New Dynasty Cultural Center and is licensed to Honolulu.

Waikiki Yacht Club (WYC) is a yacht club operating year-round in Honolulu, Hawaii. The club is a significant promoter of sail racing and transpacific expeditions, sponsoring numerous teams and events in youth and adult regattas, paddling races, and fishing tournaments. They are a member of the Hawaii Yacht Racing Association and has served as a host of the Transpacific Yacht Race since its first post-war race in 1947. Their clubhouse in Honolulu's Ala Wai Harbor features a waterfront restaurant and bar, pool, gym, and a private marina for member's boats.

The Ala Moana Hotel is a hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii, opened in 1970. It adjoins the Ala Moana Shopping Center and is across the street from the Hawaii Convention Center as well as the Ala Moana Beach Park.

The Guitar and Lute Workshop (GLW) was a manufacturer of custom guitars, ukuleles, and period stringed instruments based in Honolulu, Hawaii between 1970 and 1976. The workshop was known primarily for the talented luthiers employed in either construction of guitars, or the musicians that taught at the workshop or that used guitars made at the workshop. Additionally, an independent piano restoration and tuning business operated above the workshop floor and studios for at least two years. The GLW was notable as a nexus of activity supporting native Hawaiian musical cultural discovery during the Second Hawaiian Renaissance of the 1970s such as restoration of the musical instruments belonging to former Hawaiian royalty which are now curated by ʻIolani Palace. Key Hawaiian musicians such as Keola Beamer and Kapono Beamer got early boosts to their careers at the GLW.

KHCM-FM (97.5 MHz) is a commercial radio station in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is owned by the Salem Media Group and airs a country music radio format. The studios and offices are in Honolulu's Kalihi district. KHCM-FM carries Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 on Saturdays. KHCM-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 80,000 watts. The transmitter is in the Ala Moana neighborhood atop the Ala Moana Hotel, on Atkinson Drive.

Nauru Tower is a luxury residential skyscraper located on the border between the Ala Moana and Kakaʻako districts in Honolulu, Hawaii. Completed in 1992, the building reaches a height of 127.1 m (417 ft) and features 44 floors. As of 2026, it is currently the ninth-tallest building in Honolulu and Hawaii overall.

Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) is a nonprofit health insurer in the state of Hawaii. HMSA was founded in 1938, is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, and is the largest insurer in the state of Hawaii serving more than 700,000 people.
