KHVH (830 AM) is a news/talk radio station licensed to Honolulu, Hawaii, and owned by iHeartMedia, Inc.. It is also transmitting on Oceanic Spectrum digital channel 881 for the entire state of Hawaii. Its studios and transmitter are separately located in the Kalihi neighborhood of Honolulu.

Kapālama station is a planned Honolulu Rail Transit station in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is part of the fourth HART segment, scheduled to open in 2031.The Hawaiian Station Name Working Group proposed Hawaiian names for the twelve rail stations on the eastern end of the rail system (stations in the Airport and City Center segments) in April 2019. The proposed name for this station, Niuhelewai, means "coconut going or carried on water" and refers to a sacred residence of the goddess Haumea, the site of a battle between Haumea and Kaulu, and also the site of a battle between warriors from Oʻahu and Maui.

The station is owned by Geronimo and Nellie Malabed, through licensee Geronimo Broadcasting, LLC, and offers a multicultural format, broadcasting at 1270. Its on-air liners are "Voices from Around the World" and has been on the air since 1960. It was also Hawaii's first radio station to have an all-female airstaff, hence the KNDI calls, which phonetically spells out "Candy." KNDI features programming in Philippine languages (Ilocano and Tagalog), Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Okinawan, Vietnamese, Lao, Spanish, Samoan, Tongan, Marshallese, Chuukese, Pohnpeian and English.

KREA (1540 AM) is a radio station located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The station is owned by JMK Communications and airs a Korean programming format, billing itself on air as "Hawaii Radio Seoul".

Honolulu Community College is a public community college in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Honolulu Fish Auction has been operating since 1952, selling between 70,000 and 90,000 pounds of fish per day, operating six days per week. It is the sole large-scale auction for tuna west of Tokyo, Japan, and its operations are based on the same system used at the former Tsukiji Market Auction in Tokyo. The largest fish auction to the east is in Maine, United States, and is the only tuna auction in the U.S. In addition to tuna the auction sells a variety of fish of different species, including Mahi-mahi, striped marlin, pink snapper (‘ōpakapaka), red snapper, wahoo (ono), swordfish, and others. It is located in the Commercial Fishing Village at Pier 38 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Like the former Tsukiji Fish Market in Japan, the auction is structured by displaying all the fish caught that day on pallets covered with ice. These are transferred to the auction floor, the tails are cut and inspectors take core samples of the interior of the fish to determine quality insuring that every fish can be inspected by buyers before making their bids. The fishing boats begin lining up at 1:00 am to unload their catch; the auction then begins at 5:30 am on the acre-sized auction floor which is "three-quarters the size of a football field". Nearly 20% of the certified-sustainable fish is exported to the U.S. Mainland.

Tamashiro Market is a family-run seafood market located in Downtown Honolulu on North King Street for over 60 years. It was founded by Walter Tamashiro after a tsumani hit Hilo in 1946, where the Tamashiro family previously lived. Fresh fish sales are 75 percent of the market's business. The market also sells prepared poké, fish jerky, various sea vegetables and edible seaweeds, and a range of tropical fruits.
