Falls Church, Virginia

The Cherry Hill Farmhouse is a house museum in Falls Church, Virginia, United States. Built in 1845 in a Greek Revival architecture style, it belonged to wealthy farmer families until 1945, and in 1956 it became property of the City of Falls Church, which transformed it into a museum, as a historical building. Today, the Cherry Hill Farmhouse, along with other five such constructions in Falls Church City, is part of the National Register of Historic Places, as an important testimony of 19th century Victorian buildings in the area.

Cue Recording was one of the first 24-track analog recording studios in the Washington, DC area. The DC music scene from the 1970s through today enjoys a professional level of quality that many such studios offer locally. Technology at Cue and other studios has evolved from vintage tape equipment to modern digital recording systems such as Pro Tools. Throughout its 30 years producing recordings for bands, solo artists, politicians, and cable documentaries, it has seen advancements in recording technology and a degradation in industry sound requirements such as the advent of compressed digital files, i.e. mpegs, CDs, etc. Founded by Jeff Jeffrey in 1982, Cue began recording bands and commercial narrations in a basement studio located in Falls Church, VA. In 1987, Jeffrey leased 3500 square feet of space in a commercial building where the next phase Cue began. Today, this building still continues to be Cue's home with the expansion to 5500 square feet, housing six of its studios. Cue has achieved many accomplishments since its inception. It has been awarded 10 gold and platinum awards for tracking and mixing major label recordings, received three Wammies for Best Studio in the DC area, an Innovative Technology award from Falls Church City, a mid Atlantic Best Studio award from Music Monthly Magazine, and contributed to several Grammy awarded recordings. Cue created its sister enterprise in 2001, Cue Studios Center for Audio Engineering. A Virginia state certified postsecondary school, "CSCAE" offers "one on one" and group audio engineering training to its students.

The State Theatre is a restaurant and concert venue in Falls Church, Virginia. Built in 1936, the venue operated as a movie theater until 1988. The theatre reopened in 1999 as a events hall and music theatre. The closest Metro station is the East Falls Church Metro station.

Big Chimneys Park is located in Falls Church, Virginia. It marks the site of a log house built in 1699. It is located on Annandale Road about a block west of Maple Avenue. It is currently under renovation from which is said to last from December 2019 to Summer of 2020.

The Center files complaints with government agencies, legally challenges what they view as abuse and corruption, and publishes reports. The NLPC is described as conservative in nature. The NLPC's current chairman is Peter Flaherty.The NLPC was founded in 1991 following the release of the Senate Ethics Committee report into the Keating Five.

The Falls Church is an historic Episcopal church, from which the city of Falls Church, Virginia, near Washington, D. C., takes its name. The parish was established in 1732 and the brick church still in use today dates to 1769.

The John Leland Center for Theological Studies is a Christian institution of higher education, comprising a seminary and a school of ministry. The center's main campus is in Arlington, Virginia, with several satellite locations elsewhere in Virginia. Leland is partnered with the Baptist General Association of Virginia and the District of Columbia Baptist Convention, though the center has ties with a range of denominations and churches. Leland is a member of the Washington Theological Consortium.The center's namesake, John Leland, was an 18th- and 19th-century Baptist minister in the United States who was a proponent of the separation of church and state and an opponent of theological seminaries.: 235 

Birch House is a historic home located at Falls Church, Virginia. It was built in the 1840s, as a 1+1⁄2-story, Greek Revival frame I-house dwelling. It was enlarged to two stories in the 1850s. It was again enlarged in 1873, by an extension across the rear of the original dwelling. A porch across the front was added much later. It was the home of Joseph Edward Birch and his descendants. The house is now owned by former City of Falls Church Vice Mayor and Mrs. Samuel A. Mabry. The Mabrys purchased the house in 1984. The garden has been featured in the Virginia State Garden show twice.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Mount Hope is a historic home located at Falls Church, Virginia. It was built in the 1830s, as a 1+1⁄2-story, frame I-house dwelling. It consists of three parts: a frame dwelling built about 1830; a 2+1⁄2-story, 3-bay, Gothic Revival brick dwelling built in 1869; and a 1-bay brick section that joins the two. The 1869 section features a pair of corbel topped chimneys that pierce the apex of the gable roof, which has a substantial overhang on all elevations. It also has a three-bay porch with low hipped roof across the front facade.The 1831 wing of the house is the oldest residential building in Falls Church. It was one of the earliest stops on the local mail route. Amzi Coe purchased the residence in 1842 and named it Mount Hope. The property was used for meetings of the Presbyterian Church in the parlor. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Benjamin Banneker: SW 9 Intermediate Boundary Stone, also known as an Intermediate Stone of the District of Columbia, is a surveyors' boundary marker stone. The stone is located on the original boundary of the District of Columbia (see: Boundary markers of the original District of Columbia and History of Washington, D.C.) The stone is now on the boundary of Arlington County, Virginia and the City of Falls Church. It is within the two jurisdiction's Benjamin Banneker Park at 6620 18th Street North, Arlington.The marker stone was named and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1976 at the instigation of the Afro-American Bicentennial Corporation. The name of the marker honors Benjamin Banneker, a free African American astronomer who in 1792 assisted in the early part of the survey that established the original boundaries of the District of Columbia. The stone was the first of the District of Columbia boundary markers to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School (also known as DJO) is a Roman Catholic college preparatory school founded in 1957 in Arlington County, Virginia. It was established by the Diocese of Richmond, but it has been under the direction of the Diocese of Arlington since 1974. The school is named for Bishop Denis J. O'Connell, Bishop of Richmond from 1912 to 1926.
