Chalco Hills Recreation Area

Chalco is a census-designated place (CDP) in northern Sarpy County, Nebraska, United States, and an adjacent suburb of Omaha, with La Vista located to the southeast. The population was 11,064 at the 2020 census.

Millard South High School is a fully accredited public high school located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The school was established in 1970 as Millard High School. It is one of four high schools within the Millard Public School District. Millard South is a member of the Nebraska School Activities Association. Athletic teams are known as the Patriots. The school colors are red, white and blue.

The Amazing Pizza Machine is a family entertainment center located in the Millard area of Omaha, Nebraska. According to Play Meter magazine, the Amazing Pizza Machine has an "array of games, rides, and attractions all under one roof are unparalleled in the region." The facility has received several industry awards, including being named a "Top Family Entertainment Center of the World" by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions in 2007. The Amazing Pizza Machine is owned in part by the co-owners of Valentino's Pizza.

Prairie Queen Recreation Area is located in northcentral Sarpy County, Nebraska, U.S. and approximately 10 miles (16 km) west of downtown Omaha. Prairie Queen consists of between 260 and 335 acres (105 and 136 ha) of parkland of which 135 acres (55 ha) will is an artificial reservoir. The recreation area opened in 2015 as part of Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District efforts to provide flood control and improve recreation opportunities. The recreation area is near Werner Park and served by a road with bicycle lanes. Prairie Queen Recreation Area is part of ongoing flood control initiatives, with dam construction and water impoundments creating fishing opportunities and increasing wetlands. Groundbreaking for the recreation area was held in 2012 and the project was budgeted at 14.5 million dollars. The recreation area has a boat ramp, picnic areas and 4 miles (6.4 km) of hike/bike paths. Prairie Queen Recreation Area is named after a one-room-schoolhouse that stood on the site that was used from the years 1884 to 1957. After that the school was used as the Papillion Grange Hall until 2002.Project partners include Papio-Missouri River Natural Resource District, City of Papillion, Sarpy County, Nebraska and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

Zorinsky Lake Park is a park located at 156th and F streets in West Omaha, Nebraska. Named after Senator Edward Zorinsky of Omaha, the park has a 255-acre (103 ha) lake offering boating and fishing. The park is surrounded by 770 acres (310 ha) of public land, including 190 acres (77 ha) dedicated to wildlife management. The park is home to the Bauermeister prairie, which houses 120 species of plants, birds, and wildlife.

Millard Airport (IATA: MIQ, ICAO: KMLE, FAA LID: MLE) is a public airport seven miles (11 km) southwest of the central business district of Omaha, a city in Douglas County, Nebraska, United States. It is owned and operated by the Omaha Airport Authority, who also owns the main airport of Omaha, Eppley Airfield. Although most US airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, Millard Airport is assigned MLE by the FAA and MIQ by the IATA (which assigned MLE to Malé International Airport on Hulhulé Island in the Malé Atoll of the Maldives).

Millard is a former town and current neighborhood in southwest Omaha, Nebraska. The original downtown area of Millard (often referred to as 'Old Millard') is near the intersection of Millard Avenue and L Street.

Werner Park is a minor league ballpark located just west of Papillion, Nebraska, a suburb in Sarpy County southwest of Omaha. Opened in 2011, it is owned by Sarpy County. It is the home of the Omaha Storm Chasers (the Triple A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals) and USL League One professional soccer club Union Omaha. The Omaha Mavericks of the University of Nebraska Omaha also use the stadium for some home college baseball games. The ballpark cost $36 million to construct and is located near 126th Street and Highway 370, less than three miles (5 km) west of Papillion in unincorporated Sarpy County.

V.J. and Angela Skutt Catholic High School, located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States, is a Catholic, college-preparatory high school established in 1993. It was named in honor of V. J. Skutt, the longtime Chairman of Mutual of Omaha, and his wife Angela Skutt, who were prominent donors toward the school's construction. The school has a 1:16 teacher-student ratio. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Omaha. In 2012 and 2022, it was announced that the Suburban Omaha-based Catholic School was one of only 50 private schools nationally to earn the prestigious title of "Blue Ribbon School." In 2015, the school came under fire when it declined to renew gay teacher's contract after his marriage announcement. The issue spurred a Change.org petition that garnered over 100,000 signatures. The teacher left the school to teach elsewhere.

Oak View Mall is an enclosed shopping mall located at 3002 South 145th Street in West Omaha, Nebraska. There are 104 tenant spots on two floors of this regional mall, which was built in 1991. The mall receives more than 12,000,000 visitors annually, and features a "Kids Coliseum" play area. Oak View is attributed with sparking a development "boom" in its approximate neighborhood, which now includes several major retailers, restaurants, a three national hotel chains. The mall's anchor stores are Dillard's, JCPenney and The Rush Market. There is one vacant anchor that formerly housed a Sears.

Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital is the Omaha, Nebraska region's first hospital dedicated to the complete care and treatment of orthopaedic patients. The hospital is licensed as an acute care hospital by the State of Nebraska and fully accredited by The Joint Commission. OrthoNebraska's legal name is Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital, LLC. OrthoNebraska has also obtained Disease Specific Care Certification by the Joint Commission for both total hip and total knee replacement—the only hospital in Nebraska to hold this level of certification. The hospital is also certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and is therefore able to provide care for individuals who participate in those government sponsored programs. The hospital has twice been recognized as a top orthopaedic provider by U.S. News & World Report. In 2011, Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital was recognized as the 38th-best hospital in the nation for orthopaedic care, and #1 in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro region.Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital was named one of America's 100 Best for Joint Replacement, and received the Patient Safety Excellence Award and Outstanding Patient Experience Award by Healthgrades, in 2015. The hospital ranked 61st out of 3,575 hospitals in Medicare's Value-Based Purchasing Program.
