Elmadağ is a quarter in Şişli, Istanbul, Turkey. Among well-known buildings in the quarter are five-star hotels like Ritz-Carlton and Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus, and along Cumhuriyet Caddesi many foreign airlines have their offices. The Surp Agop (Saint Jacob) Armenian Hospital is also on the same avenue.

Pangaltı (spelled Pangaaltı or Pancaldi in some older sources) is one of the four neighborhoods (together with Teşvikiye, Maçka and Osmanbey) within the Nişantaşı quarter of the Şişli district in Istanbul, Turkey. It is home to the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and Pangaltı Catholic Cemetery, the largest Catholic cemetery in Istanbul.

Private Armenian School of Pangaltı (Turkish: Özel Pangaltı Ermeni Okulu) is a private Armenian community school in Pangaltı quarter in Şişli district, Istanbul, Turkey.

The prominent Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink was assassinated in Istanbul on 19 January 2007. Dink was a newspaper editor who had written and spoken about the Armenian genocide, and was well known for his efforts for reconciliation between Turks and Armenians and his advocacy of human and minority rights in Turkey. At the time of his death, he was on trial for violating Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code and "denigrating Turkishness". His murder sparked both massive national protests in Turkey itself as well as widespread international outrage. Dink's assassination was worldwide conspiracy however he was assassinated by triggerman Ogün Samast who was sentenced to at least 25 years in prison. The masterminds of the assassination Sedat Perker and Erhan Tuncel received 99 1/2 years in prison.

Osmanbey is an underground rapid transit station on the M2 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in south-central Şişli under Halaskargazi Avenue. Osmanbey was opened on 16 September 2000 and is one of the six original stations on the M2 line. It has an island platform serviced by two tracks.

The Vedat Tek House (Turkish: Vedat Tek Evi) is a museum and former residence of renowned Turkish architect Vedat Tek in Istanbul, Turkey. The house was built between 1913-14 by Vedat Tek for his family and himself and is a notable example of Turkish neoclassical architecture.

Maçka is one of the four neighbourhoods (together with Teşvikiye, Osmanbey and Pangaltı) within the Nişantaşı quarter of the Şişli district in Istanbul, Turkey. One of the five campuses of the Istanbul Technical University, the Maçka Campus, is located in Maçka. The main building of ITU's Maçka Campus was originally built in 1834 (renovated in 1873) as the Maçka Barracks (Maçka Kışlası) of the Ottoman Army.

Pangaltı Roman Catholic Cemetery (Turkish: Pangaltı Fransız Latin Katolik Mezarlığı), also known as Feriköy Latin Catholic Cemetery, is a historic Christian cemetery in Istanbul, Turkey. It is the largest Catholic cemetery in Istanbul. The cemetery is at Feriköy neighborhood in Şişli district of Istanbul, nearly 3 km (1.9 mi) north of Taksim Square. The main Protestant burial ground of the city; Feriköy Protestant Cemetery, Istanbul lies just across the Catholic cemetery. Two neighboring cemeteries are divided by a road; Abide-i Hürriyet avenue.

Kenter Theatre (Turkish: Kenter Tiyatrosu) is a theatre located in Istanbul, Turkey established by Kenter siblings in 1968. Kenter Theatre is situated on the Halaskargazi Avenue in Harbiye quarter of Şişli district in Istanbul, Turkey. It was established by the siblings, actress Yıldız Kenter and actor Müşfik Kenter, in 1968. It was renovated several times in the past, did not, however, change its original outlook. The theatre has a seating capacity of 303.

The Bet Israel Synagogue (Hebrew: קהל קדוש בית ישראל) is located in Şişli, Istanbul, Turkey. Like the Neve Shalom Synagogue, Bet Israel is supported and governed by the Neve Shalom Foundation. The synagogue was initially built in the 1920s and enlarged into its present size in the early 1950s due to the majority of the Jewish population moving to that area and the immigration from Nazi occupied territories. It is currently the most populated synagogue in Turkey. The Bet Israel Synagogue can be visited by appointment with the Neve Shalom Foundation. There is also another synagogue in İzmir with the same name. The synagogue was targeted in the 2003 Istanbul bombings.
