St. Mary's High School is a Catholic secondary school in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. It serves most of Kitchener's Catholic students, with others attending Resurrection Catholic Secondary School. Members of its sports teams are known as the Eagles.

Block Line is a stop on the Region of Waterloo's Ion rapid transit system. It is located alongside Courtland Avenue in Kitchener, just north of Block Line Road. It opened on June 21, 2019. Access to the platform is from the south, from the Block Line sidewalk; and from the north, from the Courtland and Hillmount intersection. The station features the artwork Three Sisters by Haudenosaunee/ Anishinaabe artists Lindsey Lickers and Katharine Harvey, having a digitally printed glass wall with images narrating the history and culture of the First Peoples.St. Mary's High School is located about 500 metres (1,600 ft) southwest of the station, and the recreational facilities of the Peter Hallman Ball Yard and the Activa Sportsplex are also nearby. With the adjustment of bus routes following the launch of light rail service in June 2019, several routes require buses to perform U-turns to stop at the station. This is stated to be a temporary measure until bus bays and a bus terminal are built.

Mill is a stop on the Region of Waterloo's Ion rapid transit system. It is located southeast of the intersection of Ottawa and Mill Streets in Kitchener, alongside the CN Huron Subdivision. It opened on June 21, 2019. Access to the platform is from the west, directly from the Ottawa Street sidewalk; to the east, there is only an emergency egress on the northern side. The station's feature wall consists of ceramic tiles in a pattern of white, brown, and gray. The station also features the artwork Tall Tales of Mill Street by Terry O’Neill and Tara Cooper, with totems displaying elements about local legends. The station is primarily surrounded by residential and light industrial areas; the closest major landmark is the Concordia Club, a major venue for Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, located 300 metres (980 ft) to the south. South of the station, the LRT tracks share a corridor with the freight tracks but are physically separated from them. Each rail service has its own underpass of the Conestoga Parkway and bridge over Schneider Creek, before the LRT tracks divert at Hayward Avenue. Rail tracks have bisected the Mill–Ottawa intersection for decades, but the addition of LRT tracks necessitated that it be rebuilt in a way that Mill Street would no longer be directly connected. Traffic along Mill coming eastward from the direction of downtown is now directed southeast along the tracks to a T-intersection with Ottawa, south of the former four-way intersection; that intersection is similarly now only a T, with Mill continuing east but westward traffic having to redirect along Ottawa.

Rockway Mennonite Collegiate (RMC) is an independent Mennonite high school located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. It offers academic programs for grade 7–12 students, various cross-cultural exchanges, as well as arts, athletics and tech programs. Approximately 40% of its 300-student population are Mennonite, coming from the modern Canadian Mennonite church, rather than Old Order Mennonites. Although the school is Mennonite in heritage and beliefs, Rockway accepts students from all types of religions and beliefs.

Borden is a stop on the Region of Waterloo's Ion rapid transit system. It is located in the median of Charles Street in Kitchener, at Borden Avenue. It opened in 2019. South of the station, the line branches; southbound tracks follow Borden Avenue, while northbound tracks continue along Charles to then follow Ottawa Street. Both branches merge again before the next station, Mill. The station's feature wall consists of ceramic tiles in a pattern of sky blue, pale green, and forest green. The primary access to the platform is from the crosswalk at Borden Street; secondary accesses at the west end of the platform, crossing either side of Charles Street, are marked as emergency exits only. Kitchener city council approved a plan seeking to create a "walkable urban village" in the neighbourhood. Maximum densities could go from the prior 46 residents and jobs per hectare to 250 residents and jobs per hectare near the Borden Avenue LRT station.Businesses in the vicinity of the station (as of 2018) include a Tim Hortons coffee shop, a City Cafe Bakery bagel and coffee shop, Grand River Rocks indoor rock climbing gym and Kitchener Kicks Martial Arts Centre. Borden is also the closest station to the Region's largest sporting arena, the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, located 800 metres (2,600 ft) to the northeast.

Eastwood Collegiate Institute is a public high school located at 760 Weber Street East in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1956. The school teams are known as the "Lions ". Eastwood is known for its Provincially ranked soccer teams, as well as its Integrated Arts Program. Its motto is Ex Oriente Lux.

Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute is a public secondary school in Kitchener, Ontario, run by the Waterloo Region District School Board. It is part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The school is located at 301 Charles St. E. As of the 2019–2020 school year, the school has 1,775 students. The school is also one of only two secondary schools in Ontario with its own campus radio station.

The Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex (also known as The Aud) is a multi-use municipally-owned facility in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. The complex is located on East Avenue, near the Ottawa Street interchange on the Conestoga Parkway. The complex includes "The Kitchener Memorial Audiorium" with the Dom Cardillo Arena, two smaller community arenas the Kinsmen Arena and Kiwanis Arena, the Jack Couch Stadium baseball park, Centennial Stadium (track and field, soccer / football) and a skatepark outside the stadium.

The station initially had a working name of Cedar, and it opened in 2019.

The Yeti Cafe is a cafe, restaurant, and music venue located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, at 14 Eby St. N. The cafe is located near the Kitchener Farmer's Market. Victoria Kent opened the Yeti in 2012, located in a repurposed house. The cafe's menu uses unconventional naming of its dishes and features omelets, bagel sandwiches and bread sandwiches. For drinks, coffee, tea, and espresso are served. The Yeti has received praise from reviewers for its atmosphere, food, and coffee.

The Kitchener Farmer's Market is one of the oldest continuous local farmer's markets in Canada. The market is located in Kitchener, Ontario and reflects the continued relationship of Kitchener with the Mennonite community (especially with vendors selling meats and baked goods) and farmers that continues to exist in the area. The market is open weekly on Saturdays year-round and has more than 80 farmer/vendors. Different stalls sell a variety of wares, including fresh produce, raw and cured meats, cheese, eggs, fish, honey, prepared foods, breads and pastries, as well as specialty items like chocolate, Middle Eastern foods and kombucha. Non-food products like flowers, skin products and handcrafted gifts are also available, and artisan vendors change from week to week.
