Lake Pat Cleburne is the municipal water reservoir for the city of Cleburne, Texas, as well as a recreational lake for residents. Lake Pat Cleburne is owned and operated by the City of Cleburne. It was built as the city's water supply and was impounded in 1964. U.S. Highway 67 crosses over the north end of the lake.

Buffalo Creek is a creek in Johnson County, Texas. The creek flows primarily through the city of Cleburne where two smaller streams meet. The East Buffalo Creek originates near the town of Keene, flowing south-west into Cleburne. The West Buffalo Creek originates near the town of Joshua. The consolidated river then flows into the Nolan River to the south of Cleburne.

The Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum in Cleburne, Texas is an outdoor museum that celebrates the Chisholm Trail. The museum features a number of original, and recreated buildings, including the oldest surviving log Courthouse in Texas, from 1855. The museum also features a Western Memorabilia Museum, featuring items belonging to former Fort Worth city manager Douglas Harman. Other attractions include a working blacksmith shop, a restored 19th-century stagecoach, a Texas Rangers and Civil War Museum, and a petting zoo.

Gorman's Park was a baseball park located in Cleburne, Texas and was the home of the Texas League Cleburne Railroaders in 1906. Controversially, the Railroaders won the Texas League pennant over Fort Worth. Fort Worth won the first half while Cleburne won the second half. However, Cleburne won the title because Fort Worth's players were not available to play in the championship after the regular season. The venue was located at the crossing of Hillsboro and Westhill in Hulen Park.

Rio Vista Independent School District is a public school district based in Rio Vista, Texas (USA). Located in southern Johnson County, a small portion of the district extends into northern Hill County. In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.

Cleburne High School is a public high school located in the city of Cleburne, Texas. The school is in the Cleburne Independent School District.

A Statue of Patrick Cleburne stands in Cleburne, Texas. The statue honoring Confederate General Patrick Cleburne, the town's namesake, was installed in 2015.

The Layland Museum of History is a city run museum located in the Downtown Historic District of Cleburne. The museum specializes in local prehistoric, first peoples, 19th and 20th century history. The Cleburne Parks and Recreation Department runs the museum, and contains over 50,000 artifacts and 100,000 photos that preserve local history. It operated on the top floor of the building until 1978, when it gained full access after the library moved to a new facility. The museum operates out two buildings, the Clebunre Carnegie Building and the Smith History Center. The collection began with the museums namesake, William J. Layland's heirs gifting the collection to the city. Other local contributions would continue to expand the collection to its current size. The museums building began life as the Cleburne Carnegie Library. In 1902, the Women's Club of Cleburne would contact the Carnegie Foundation to secure funding for a new library. A $20,000 grant, along with a matching fund by the locals, led to the completion of the Library in 1905. Designed by Smith and Moore, The library was built in the Classical Revival style. The neighboring building would eventually become the Smith History Center, whose purpose is to store the rest of the collection currently not on display. The research library is also located within the history center.

Cleburne ( KLEE-burn) is a city in and the county seat of Johnson County, Texas, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 31,352. The city is named in honor of Patrick Cleburne, a Confederate general. Lake Pat Cleburne, the reservoir that provides water to the city and surrounding area, is also named after him.
