KUNA-FM is a commercial regional Mexican music radio station in La Quinta, California, broadcasting to the Palm Springs, California, area on 96.7 FM. It is owned by News-Press & Gazette Company, through its Gulf-California Broadcast Company subsidiary.

KJJZ (95.9 FM, "Kool 95.9") is a radio station licensed to Indian Wells, California and broadcasting to the greater Coachella Valley and the Morongo Basin, including Palm Springs. Owned by Marker Broadcasting, it broadcasts an oldies radio format. The studios are on Merle Drive in Palm Desert.

KRCK-FM (97.7 MHz) is a radio station licensed to serve Mecca, California, broadcasting to the Coachella Valley area. The station's studios are in Palm Desert, while the transmitter is in a mountain range north of Bermuda Dunes. It is owned by Major Market Radio LLC, presently a debtor in possession. The station was put into a receivership by court order in July 2020. On March 15, 2021, VCY America, which owns Christian stations across the U.S., began operating the station under a local marketing agreement (LMA). On January 31, 2022, a court ordered possession and control of the station back to Major Market Radio LLC. The radio station is currently off the air,and the website is suspended.

Shadow Hills High School is a public high school for grades 9–12. It is located in north Indio, California, United States. Other high schools in the area are Indio High School, La Quinta High School and Palm Desert High School. The main feeder school are Indio Middle School and Desert Ridge Academy which replaced the former Woodrow Wilson Middle School in 2009.

Terra Lago, Indio is a gated community located in Riverside County, California, of the Coachella Valley, approximately 25 miles (40 km) east of Palm Springs. As of 2014, it was managed by Desert Resort Management, a company owned by Associa.The community consists of approximately 520 homes built in the villa style by five architects and developers under a unified master plan. The community surrounds a 20-acre (81,000 m2) lake, used for canoeing, sailing and fishing. The Golf Club at Terra Lago features two 18-hole championship courses, known as The North & South Courses. This is another separate community.The community has a recreation center, a fitness center, an outdoor Olympic style swimming pool and hot tub, and a 100-seater ballroom which hosts parties and entertainment.

Bermuda Dunes Airport (IATA: UDD, ICAO: KUDD, FAA LID: UDD) is a public use airport located in Bermuda Dunes, a town 13 nautical miles (15 mi, 24 km) east of the central business district of Palm Springs, a city in the Coachella Valley of Riverside County, California, United States. It is privately owned by Crown Aero, LLC.The airport is home to Desert West Aviation, a local flight school, as well as Coachella Valley Aviation, providing A&P/IA service for airplanes and helicopters.

KESQ (1400 AM) was a radio station broadcasting a Spanish music format licensed to Indio, California, United States. The station was a simulcast of KUNA-FM 96.7. KESQ was owned by the News-Press & Gazette Company, through its Gulf-California Broadcast Company subsidiary.

Indio is a former and future train station in Indio, California. Rail service began on May 29, 1876, by the Southern Pacific. The station was a stop on the transcontinental Sunset Limited; that service was commuted to Amtrak in 1971. The Eagle (later Texas Eagle) started serving the city with that line's commencement. Indio continued to see service until October 1998, closing due to low ridership. On the south side of the tracks is the Indio Bus Station, served by Greyhound Lines and Amtrak Thruway. The Riverside County Transportation Commission was awarded $8.6 million in 2019 to construct a temporary platform to reestablish limited service to the city during major festivals, but these plans were canceled in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic after arrangements with Union Pacific could not be resolved. The commission is also investigating the possibility of reinstating normal passenger service from Los Angeles to Indio along the Coachella Valley–San Gorgonio Pass Rail Corridor.

Indio (Spanish for "Indian") is a city in Riverside County, California, United States, in the Coachella Valley of Southern California's Colorado Desert region. It lies 23 miles (37 km) east of Palm Springs, 75 miles (121 km) east of Riverside, 127 miles (204 km) east of Los Angeles, 148 miles (238 km) northeast of San Diego, 250 miles (400 km) west of Phoenix, and 102 miles (164 km) north of Mexicali, Mexico. The population was 89,137 in the 2020 United States Census, up from 76,036 at the 2010 census, an increase of 17%. Indio is the most populous city in the Coachella Valley, and was formerly referred to as the Hub of the Valley after a Chamber of Commerce slogan used in the 1970s. It was later nicknamed the City of Festivals, a reference to the numerous cultural events held in the city, most notably the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Indio is the principal city of an urban area defined by the United States Census Bureau that is located in the Coachella Valley: the Indio–Palm Desert–Palm Springs CA urban area had a population of 361,075 as of the 2020 census, making it the 114th largest in the United States.

Bermuda Dunes is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California. The population was 7,282 at the 2010 census. Bermuda Dunes is located near Indio and 19 miles (31 km) east of Palm Springs. The community's former name was Myoma. The Bermuda Dunes Country Club was developed in 1958 by Ernie Dunlevie and Ray Ryan; it attracted celebrities such as Clark Gable as members. Bermuda Dunes is served by the Bermuda Dunes Airport.

Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is a casino and hotel located southeast of Palm Springs near I-10 in Indio, California. It is owned and operated by the Cabazon Band of Cahuilla Indians, a federally recognized tribe. The hotel has 250 rooms and the casino consists of 1800 slot machines and video poker, 40 tables and 100,000 sq ft (9,300 m2) of special events center space.
