Delaware Coastal Airport (IATA: GED, ICAO: KGED, FAA LID: GED) is a public use airport in unincorporated Sussex County, Delaware, United States. Owned by the Sussex County Council, it is located two nautical miles (4 km) southeast of the central business district of Georgetown. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a regional general aviation facility.The airport is known locally by various unofficial names, including County Airport and, especially, Georgetown Airport. In mid-June 2015, the Sussex County Council voted to rename the airport from Sussex County Airport to Delaware Coastal Airport. The rebranding was part of a $40 million effort to modernize the facility and boost economic development.The airport is home to the Delaware Aviation Museum, which features World War 2 aviation artifacts. The airport is also home to the Jeffrey Ethell Memorial Aviation Library, which houses more than 3,000 aviation-related books and is considered the largest aviation library on the U.S. east coast.Though U.S. Customs and Border Protection does not operate a facility at the airport, they do accept international arrivals at the airport with prior notice.

St. John's Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church located at Springfield Crossroads near Georgetown, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in 1907, and is a one-story, frame church building sheathed in weatherboard in the Gothic Revival style. It sits on a raised brick foundation, has a steeply pitched gable roof, lancet windows, and features a two-story bell tower with steeple. The property also includes the church hall, which was originally constructed at the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp near Georgetown. It was moved to the property in 1949, and subsequently renovated. Adjacent to the church is the church cemetery, with burials dating to 1853.The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Sussex Correctional Institution (SCI) is located in unincorporated Sussex County, Delaware, near Georgetown. Opened in 1931, SCI, a part of the Delaware Department of Correction, is one of Delaware's oldest correctional facilities. SCI houses maximum, medium, and minimum security inmates. SCI also houses the Youthful Criminal Offenders Program YCOP. SCI houses an all-male population. A major expansion project was completed at SCI: between April 1997 and April 2000, 760 beds were added to the facility for a total capacity of 1,109 beds. The expansion brought the total capacity of the institution to 1206. SCI is also home to the nationally recognized substance abuse treatment program called KEY. In an effort to reduce crime and recidivism, Governor Thomas R. Carper and the Department of Correction unveiled the program at SCI on February 10, 1998. SCI's program is called KEY South. The KEY program is an intense, discipline-based therapeutic substance abuse treatment program for 180 offenders at SCI. Several programs designed to facilitate rehabilitative efforts are in place at SCI. These programs include educational opportunity, vocational training, work assignments, spiritual/religious opportunity and a variety of other classes and programming.

The Delaware Confederate Monument is a private monument in Georgetown, Delaware built on the grounds of the Georgetown Historical Society, unveiled in 2007.The granite monument features a Confederate battle flag and the names of more than 95 Delawareans, both soldiers and civilians, who supported the Confederate war effort, including former Delaware Governor William H. H. Ross.

Georgetown Speedway is a speedway located at the intersection of U.S. Route 113 and Speedway Road in Georgetown, Delaware. The track is a 40-minute drive from Ocean City, Maryland and miles from the Delaware Beaches. Attendance on some nights is boosted by fans coming via the Cape May–Lewes Ferry from New Jersey. Georgetown Speedway features a fast, half-mile clay oval that produces high speeds and thrilling racing action. The facility has grandstands, parking, a large, flat pit area, and room for overnight camping.Constructed in 1949 by businessman and auto racing pioneer Melvin L. Joseph, Georgetown Speedway is not only an historic landmark in Delaware, but is well known across the country for its role in the development of stock car racing as it is known today.After sitting silent for a number of years the speedway was reopened in May 2006. In 2015 the track was slightly shortened by reconfiguring turns one and two, bringing them in several feet further. The track had previously been believed to be measured as a half mile on the inside; now it is believed to be measured as a half mile on the outside. BD Motorsports Media LLC is managing the speedway's operations since 2016. A special-events schedule of high-profile programs was planned to bring some of the region's top talent to Sussex County, Delaware. The current management team revamped the track throughout the 2016 season, including fresh paint, new improved signage, track maintenance equipment, and a revamped sound system. Multiple touring series, including Big/Small Block Modifieds, Super Late Models, and 360 Sprint cars are now featured at the track. More improvements were announced for the 2017 season such as a lap counter and scoreboard that was purchased from the former Thunder Valley Speedway in Central City, Pennsylvania.

Gardiner Wright Mansion, also known as The Marsh House, is a historic regency mansion in Georgetown, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in 1841, and is a two-story stuccoed brick dwelling. The plan consists of two parallel rectangular sections, with a two-story brick central hall running between them. It was extensively renovated in the late-1940s. On the property are a contributing wood shed and two-level milk house.The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Broadkill Hundred (later Broadkiln Hundred) is a hundred in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. Broadkill Hundred was formed in 1696 as one of the original Delaware Hundreds. Originally known as Broadkill Hundred after the Broadkill River, the name was changed to Broadkiln Hundred in 1833 by the 57th Delaware General Assembly. Its primary community is Milton.
