Japanese Consulate-General, Honolulu (在ホノルル日本国総領事館, Zai Honoruru Nippon-koku Sōryōjikan) is Japan's diplomatic facility in the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. The facility is located at 1742 Nuuanu Avenue. The facility's jurisdiction includes Hawaii and American Samoa.As of January 2021 the Consul General is Yutaka Aoki.

The Co-Cathedral of Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus is a co-cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church and its Diocese of Honolulu. Located in the outskirts of downtown Honolulu, Hawaii. The principal cathedral of the diocese remains the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace. It was named in honor of the Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus. The original church parish was established in 1931 by Msgr. Stephen Alencastre, Vicar Apostolic of the Hawaiian Islands. Construction was completed only a year later, in September 1932. Reflecting the growth of Catholicism in the immediate community, then pastor and diocesan vicar general Msgr. Benedict Vierra led a major fundraising effort to replace the church's wooden structure, showing signs of deterioration in 1956. Vierra's efforts were successful and the renovated church was dedicated on August 15, 1963. Having found a need to have a larger space for pontifical liturgies - since the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace had become too small to accommodate the increased population since the vicariate apostolic was elevated to a diocese - Bishop Joseph Ferrario petitioned Pope John Paul II in 1984 to elevate Saint Theresa church to the dignity of a co-cathedral, as it is larger in physical size. A papal decree elevating Saint Theresa Catholic Church to co-cathedral was issued and the church was consecrated on July 28, 1985. Its interior was reconfigured and a second cathedra for the bishop was placed in the church. The Co-Cathedral of Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus is most often used for pontifical liturgies such as the annual Mass of the Chrism during which the holy oils (oil of the sick, oil of catechumens, and the holy Chrism) used in several of the sacraments are consecrated by the bishop before being distributed to the parishes of the diocese. Ordinations and episcopal installations are sometimes celebrated at the co-cathedral.

Foster Botanical Garden, measuring 13.5 acres (5.5 ha), is one of five public botanical gardens on Oahu. It is located at 50 North Vineyard Boulevard, Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, near Chinatown at the intersection of Nu'uanu Avenue and Vineyard Boulevard. Foster is in a highly urban area with strip malls, schools, and Buddhist, Shinto, and Methodist religious facilities nearby. The Garden is the oldest botanical garden in Hawaii, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Hongwanji Mission School (HMS) is a private co-educational preparatory school (grades pre-school through eighth) located in Nuuanu Valley and adjacent to Downtown Honolulu. Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools, HMS first opened its doors in 1949 and was the first Buddhist school established outside Japan. HMS has a maximum student-teacher ratio of 18:1. Japanese-language classes are part of the curriculum at all grade levels. The campus includes a gymnasium, swimming pool, library, and computer center. In addition, HMS offers after school, holiday daycare, and summer-school programs. In 2003, HMS announced the opening of a Buddhist high school, Pacific Buddhist Academy, which shares a campus with HMS.

The Oʻahu Cemetery is the resting place of many notable early residents of the Honolulu area. They range from missionaries and politicians to sports pioneers and philosophers. Over time it was expanded to become an area known as the Nuʻuanu Cemetery.

The Izumo Taishakyo Mission is a Shinto shrine located in downtown Honolulu, Hawaii. It is one of the few active Shinto shrines in the United States. The wooden A-frame structure was inspired by Shimane Prefecture's classical Japanese shrine Izumo-taisha. It was designed by architect Hego Fuchino and built by master carpenter Ichisaburo Takata. The primary kami of this shrine is Ōkuninushi and Hawaii Ubusuna-no-Kami. Also enshrined are Okinawa Shrine, Naminoue Shrine, Futenma Shrine, Inari Shrine, and Ebisu Shrine, and Waianae Ujigami.The shrine is the site of the annual New Year's Day hatsumōde as well as other events throughout the year. A replica of the Hiroshima Peace Bell is on view. The annual Hiroshima Commemoration and Peace Service is held at Hawaii Izumo Taisha to commemorate the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

Kapālama, now often called Pālama, is a neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii. It is often combined with the adjacent Kalihi and referred to as a single entity, Kalihi–Pālama.

KXRG-LP, (95.9 FM) is a non-commercial dance radio outlet serving the Honolulu, Hawaii area. The station is owned by a non-profit group called Ohana Broadcasters Corporation and is licensed to Honolulu.

The Liliʻuokalani Botanical Garden (7.5 acres) is a city park and young botanical garden located on North Kuakini Street, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. It is one of the Honolulu Botanical Gardens, and open daily without charge. The garden's site was given to the City and County of Honolulu by Queen Liliʻuokalani, Hawaiʻi's last reigning monarch, and contains the Nuʻuanu Stream and Waikahalulu waterfall. It is under development to feature native Hawaiian plants exclusively.

The Kyoto Gardens of Honolulu Memorial Park is a cemetery located in the eastern half of the Honolulu Memorial Park, 22 Craigside Place, Honolulu, Hawaii. Its three-tiered Sanju Pagoda, the Kinkaku-ji Temple, and Mirror Gardens are fine examples of Japanese traditional-style structures and gardens built outside Japan. The gardens were listed in the National Register of Historic Places as site 04000020 on February 11, 2004.Honolulu Memorial Park was established in 1958, and its Buddhist Kinkaku-ji memorial and Sanju Pagoda were constructed between 1964-1966 as part of the Nuʻuanu Memorial Gardens Funerary Home, adjacent to history Oahu Cemetery. This name was changed to Kyoto Gardens in 1966 when the City of Kyoto, Japan, donated a bronze bell, with Abbot Jikai Murakami of Kyoto's Kinkaku-ji present for the opening. The Sanju Pagoda is modeled after the Hokke-ji Temple (Kanji: 南法華寺) in Nara, Japan which was built in the Momoyama Period (1571–1602). The garden replica is built of concrete and steel, and somewhat larger than the original with a height from foundation to rooftop of 80 feet. Including the ku-rin copper spire, its total height is 116 feet. The Kinkaku-ji (Kanji: 金閣寺) columbarium is modeled upon the renowned Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) located on the grounds of the Rokuonji Temple in Kyoto, built in the Muromachi Period (1335–1573). It is three stories tall (38 feet), constructed with steel frame and plaster finish, and with a phoenix finial at its roof peak. Mirror Lake Garden, surrounding Kinkaku-ji, also reflects Muromachi Period (1335–1573) garden design.Both the Sanju Pagoda and Kinkaku-ji serve as columbariums. As of 2006 they were in poor repair, due to the cemetery's financial difficulties.

Iwilei station is a planned Honolulu Rail Transit station in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is part of the fourth HART segment, scheduled to open in 2031.The Hawaiian Station Name Working Group proposed Hawaiian names for the twelve rail stations on the eastern end of the rail system (stations in the Airport and City Center segments) in April 2019. The proposed name for this station, Kūwili, means "water swirling in place" and refers to a parcel of land in the Honolulu ahupuaʻa that contained a large fishpond watered by Leleo Stream.

K256AS (99.1 FM, "Star 99.1") is a relay transmitter in Honolulu, Hawaii. Owned by iHeartMedia, the station serves as an analog simulcast of KUCD-HD2, KUCD's HD Radio subchannel, carrying an alternative rock format.
