Hong Kong's Goddess of Democracy is a 6.4-metre faux bronze statue sculpted by Chen Weiming, inspired by the original 10-metre tall Goddess of Democracy. The original foam and papier-mâché statue was erected by the Chinese pro-democracy movement in Tiananmen Square at the end of May 1989, and destroyed by soldiers clearing the protesters from Tiananmen square on June 4, 1989. Three successive political controversies surrounded the statue in 2010 in the backdrop to the twenty-first anniversary of the suppression of the Tiananmen pro-democracy movement. Firstly, it was seized by the Hong Kong police at a street rally at the public open space in Times Square, Causeway Bay on the grounds that the display violated safety regulations, which was, according to the protesters, a trumped up charge. Secondly, the sculptor was denied entry into Hong Kong on 2 June, when he journeyed to Hong Kong to examine the sculpture for possible damage whilst in police custody. Thirdly, the erection of the statue on the campus of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was denied by university authorities, to the ire of the student leadership. The various controversies surrounding the statue reportedly increased the number of people attending the annual 4 June vigil in Hong Kong to historical highs. Since the record turnout for the anniversary vigil, and under pressure from students, the Chinese University administration acquiesced in allowing the statue a 'temporary home' near the Chinese University exit of the University station. On December 23, 2021, the statue was taken down by Hong Kong authorities.

CUHK Medical Centre is a non-profit teaching hospital at Ma Liu Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong, next to University station. Opened on 6 January 2021, it is a self-financed teaching hospital of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The hospital provides more than 500 inpatient and day beds, as well as outpatient clinics and a series of specialist diagnosis and treatment procedures. The hospital is managed and its clinical services provided by the CUHK Faculty of Medicine.

The Elisabeth Luce Moore Library, donated by the Henry Luce Foundation, was named after Mrs. Elisabeth Luce Moore. It is located in the Chung Chi College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Resources found in the Elisabeth Luce Moore Library range from recognized music and religion collections to specialized works. Facilities include Late Reading Rooms and Group Study Rooms.

Yucca de Lac was a high-end restaurant in Hong Kong, famous for frequently serving as a scene for the black-and-white Cantonese films made in the 1960s. Located at Tai Po Road, Ma Liu Shui, near the Chinese University of Hong Kong, it was opened in 1963 and closed on September 20, 2005. The scene of a man and woman enjoying afternoon tea under a parasol in the restaurant is part of the collective memory of many Hong Kongers. The restaurant's name is derived from "yucca", a species of evergreen plant, and de Lac meaning by the lake in French.

Faculty of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) (Chinese: 香港中文大學醫學院) was established in 1981 and consists of five schools which offer an array of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health. The Hong Kong's Prince of Wales Hospital is the faculty's teaching facility and base of research. The medium of instruction of all programs is English while Chinese is also retained for the teaching of Chinese Medicine. It is one of the only two medical training faculties established in Hong Kong, along with the older Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. They are also the only two tertiary institutions in Hong Kong that provide medical and pharmacy programmes. CUHK's medical school has been ranked as one of the top 50 medical schools in the world, despite its short history of 35 years as of 2016.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. The institute was founded as a federation of three existing colleges—Chung Chi College, New Asia College, and United College—the oldest of which was founded in 1949. The Chinese University of Hong Kong holds deep historical roots, positioning CUHK as the most historically rich institution of higher education in Hong Kong. CUHK is now organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in Hong Kong. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal, and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
