Barnert Hospital was a 236-bed hospital at 680 Broadway in the Eastside section of Paterson, New Jersey that operated for 99 years. The hospital was named for Nathan Barnert, a philanthropist and former mayor of Paterson who founded the hospital. In 1914, Barnert donated a site at East 30th Street and Broadway and provided an endowment. The original building was designed by Fred Wesley Wentworth in the classical revival style, constructed of a pink granite base and yellow brick with extensive detailing and other elaborate materials. it stood until the mid 1960s when it was demolished for a more modern structure.The hospital was a full-service facility offering perinatal care, family care services and an outpatient infusion unit treating high risk pregnancies and hematology-oncology patients. Its operations were drastically scaled back in its last years of operation due to serious financial difficulties. The hospital sought Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection in August, 2007. The hospital initially intended to close on September 28, 2007 due to a lack of funds. However soon after the announcement both the State and Federal governments appropriated $3.5 million to keep the hospital open while a buyer was sought. Several groups attempted unsuccessfully to raise $3.5 million in order to purchase the facility and convert it into a multi-use specialty hospital. The bankruptcy court reviewed bids, however these plans did not materialize and the hospital announced its closure on February 1, 2008. The hospital closed officially on May 30, 2008. Following Barnert's bankruptcy, the facility was purchased by Community Healthcare Associates and reorganized as a 'medical arts complex.' As of September 17, 2009, Barnert is at over 90% capacity with tenants that include pharmacists, hospice care, an adult day-care center, a sub-acute rehabilitation center and group practices that provide primary care. The $15 million renovation by CHA included a new heating and cooling system, with the building being completely retrofitted with new floors installed. The Barnert Medical Arts Complex is now flourishing and serves as a model for struggling acute care hospitals around New Jersey.

The Islamic Center of Passaic County is a mosque and Islamic cultural center in Paterson, New Jersey, located on Derrom Ave. It is one of the largest mosques in New Jersey.

John W. Ferguson House was located in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey. The house was built in 1906 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 23, 1980. The house was demolished in September 1988.

The Rosa L. Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts is a four-year public high school in Paterson in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as part of the Paterson Public Schools. In October 1986, Rosa Parks honored the school family at the opening ceremony by cutting the ribbon. To date, it is the only high school in the United States named after her.The school provides training in each of eight art majors: Commercial Art, Fine Art, Dance, Drama, Vocal, Instrumental, Piano, and Communication Arts (formerly known as Creative Writing). Communication Arts, however, is not recognized as a major, due to the fact that it is not considered a fine art anymore. Paterson residents in eighth grade can apply for admission to Rosa Parks School, with acceptance based on a competitive audition process, which may include a submission of an art or writing portfolio.As of the 2022–23 school year, the school had an enrollment of 252 students and 27.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.3:1. There were 132 students (52.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 2 (0.8% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Eastside Park is a residential neighborhood in the Eastside of Paterson, New Jersey. The Eastside Park section of the city is generally defined as the area of the city bordered by Vreeland Avenue and East 33rd Street (both part of the "old" York Road) to the west, 20th Avenue to the south, McLean Boulevard (Route 20) to the east, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Way (Broadway) to the north. The Eastside Park section is delineated from the Manor section of the city by Broadway, which becomes Route 4 before crossing the Passaic River into Elmwood Park (formerly East Paterson) in Bergen County.

The HARP Academy of Health Science is a four-year public high school in Paterson in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States, operated as part of the Paterson Public Schools. It is one of a number of academy programs serving students in ninth through twelfth grades offered by the school district. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 291 students and 27.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.8:1. There were 164 students (56.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and none eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Paterson Catholic Regional High School was a private four year Catholic high school located in Paterson, in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey .The school served students from ninth through twelfth grade and operated under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Paterson. Due to dwindling enrollment and monetary problems, the Paterson Diocese closed Paterson Catholic at the end of the 2009-10 school year.As of the 2009-10 school year, the school had an enrollment of 303 students and 22.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.4.

Broadway–Paterson was a New York, Susquehanna and Western Railroad (NYS&W) station in Paterson, New Jersey near the level, or at-grade crossing south of Broadway at Ellison Place and Madison Avenue. Service by the New Jersey Midland, a predecessor to the NYS&W, had begun in 1873. It was originally known as Paterson, but was renamed after a junction of the railroad's mainline was created to build the Paterson City Branch. The station house, demolished in 1982, was situated between the two lines and served as the Susquehanna's headquarters for several years. Passenger service on the branch ended in 1960 and on the mainline in 1966.

Garretson Forge and Farm is a farm owned by the Garretson Family since 1719. Located in Fair Lawn, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, it is one of the oldest historic sites in the county. The Peter Garretson House (also known as Garretson-Brocker Home) was built in 1720 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 19, 1974.

The Miriam Barnert Hebrew Free School was dedicated on September 27, 1904 in Paterson, New Jersey by Nathan Barnert. The school offered instruction in biblical and post-biblical Jewish history.

Elmwood Park Memorial High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grade from Elmwood Park, in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as the lone secondary school of the Elmwood Park Public Schools. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1963.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 787 students and 52.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.0:1. There were 188 students (23.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 38 (4.8% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The Frederick William Cooke Residence was a historic building built 1883–1886 and located at 384 Broadway in the city of Paterson in Passaic County, New Jersey. Also known as the Cooke Mansion, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 8, 1982, for its significance in architecture, industry, and transportation. It was destroyed by fire in 1991.
