Łódź University of Technology

Hala MOSiR (acronym for Miejskiego Ośrodka Sportu i Rekreacji) is an indoor arena in Łódź, Poland. It is mainly used for basketball and volleyball and has a seating capacity for 6,710 people. Sometimes it also use for Pageant arena for Miss Supranational and Mister Supranational that was held with over 70 participant from around the world.

The Joseph Richter Villa is in Łódź, Poland at Skorupki Street (formerly Placowa St.) 10/12, in Bishop Michał Klepacz Park. It is a listed historical monument.Designed by Piotr Brukalski, the villa was constructed for Joseph Richter in 1888–89. The building, following the standards of the Italian Renaissance, has a loggia facing the garden. It was designed as a single family residence. It shared a park with the neighbouring villa of Reinhold Richter. In 1933, the villa was the residence of Łódź voivode Aleksander Hauke-Nowak. In 1939, Gertrude Paula Ramisch (the last member of the Richter family) sold the villa with the furniture and homeware to Helmut Biedermann. After the Second World War, the building became an orphanage, Thereafter, Lodz University of Technology bought it and kept it a seat of the International Faculty of Engineering until 2007. Since 2009, the building has been the seat for the rector’s administration.

The Fabrykant Oak, also known as Jagosz, is a monumental pedunculate oak located in Michał Klepacz Park in Łódź. It is a characteristic tree of the city of Łódź. Its massive, long branches extend almost perpendicular from the main trunk, spreading horizontally at a height of about 1.5 meters. The oak's girth exceeds 450 cm. The tree is located in the central part of the park, which also contains 23 other monumental trees. The oak has been protected since 1990, with the current legal foundation being the resolution of the Łódź City Council from 2015.

Reinhold Richter Villa at Skorupki Street 6/8 in Łódź, Poland in a park named after the bishop Michał Klepacz is now the main office of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology (TUL). The villa was built by an architect Ignatius Stebelski in the years 1903–1904 at then Placowa Street. The building was designed according to German and English examples of "irregular architecture" for Reinhold Richter. His brother, Joseph Richter, had built his villa in the vicinity a few years earlier, so the park joined both buildings. After the death of Reinhold Richter in 1930, his wife Matilda, and their five children co-owned the villa. After the death of Matilda there was a further division of the property. Jadwiga Scheibler née Richter was the last inhabitant till the Second World War. After the war, the villa was taken over by the Association of Workers’ Universities. From 1951 to 1956 it housed the Preparatory Centre for Higher Schools. On 23 November 1954 a document transferring the ownership of the building to Lodz University of Technology was drawn up, but the transfer finally took place in the first half of 1956, when it became the seat of the newly created Faculty of Civil Engineering. From 1969 to 1976 the villa housed the Publications Department of TUL. In 1977 it was decided that the building will be used as the Rector’s main office. One year later the repair and maintenance work started which lasted, with a few years break, until April 1985. The official transfer of the building took place on the 40th anniversary of TUL on 24 May 1985.

The Prince Józef Poniatowski Park in Łódź (Polish: Park im. księcia Józefa Poniatowskiego w Łodzi) is a park in Łódź, Poland located between Żeromskiego, Mickiewicza, Jana Pawła II and Parkowa Streets. The area of the park is 41.6 ha (103 acres). It was named in honour of Polish general and statesman Prince Józef Poniatowski (1763–1813).

As of 2016 weekly mass attendance was 23.4% of the archdiocese's Catholic population, making it the second least devout diocese in Poland after the Archdiocese of Szczecin-Kamień (22.7%).

St. Matthew's Church in Łódź is a Lutheran church and historic landmark located in Piotrkowska Street, at a short distance from the city's Catholic cathedral. The third Lutheran church in Łódź at the time of its construction, it is now the only church in the city that serves the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Poland, the country's largest Protestant denomination.

Julian Tuwim Monument or the Tuwim's Bench (Polish: Ławeczka Tuwima) is a monument dedicated to Julian Tuwim at the Piotrkowska Street district of Łódź, Poland. The monument was constructed in 1998-1999 by sculptor Wojciech Gryniewicz.
