Clayfield is an electoral division of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland. It is centred on the inner northern suburb of Clayfield in the state capital of Brisbane. The seat was first created in 1950, and consistently returned members for the Liberal Party until its abolition in 1977. The bulk of the seat was merged into nearby Merthyr.It was recreated in 1992 as part of the electoral reforms that ended Bjelke-Petersen-era malapportionment, and was easily won by Liberal candidate Santo Santoro, the last member for Merthyr and later a Borbidge government minister. Santoro was re-elected in 1996 and 1998, but was defeated in a shock result in 2001 by actress and Labor candidate Liddy Clark. Clark held on to the normally safe Liberal seat for two terms, but after a controversy-scarred term as a minister, was defeated by Liberal candidate Tim Nicholls in 2006. A redistribution in 2008 made Clayfield notionally Labor by 0.2%, but the Liberal National Party achieved a swing strong enough for Nicholls to retain his seat in the 2009 election. Nicholls was the last deputy leader of the state Liberal Party from 2007 to 2009, served as state Treasurer in the Newman government, and was leader of the LNP from 2016 to 2017.

Domestic Terminal railway station is the terminus station of the Airport line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Domestic Terminal at Brisbane Airport, opening on 5 May 2001 at the same time as the line.The station along with the line is owned and operated by Airtrain Citylink under a BOOT scheme. It will pass to Queensland Rail ownership in 2036.Services are operated by City network. Although TransLink's go card is able to be used, the station is not included in the TransLink fare structure, with Airtrain able to charge a premium fare.

Schulz Canal is an artificial waterway in Nundah, Queensland that enters Moreton Bay. There are tributaries that enter the short canal, draining the suburbs of Hendra and Wooloowin in Brisbane's north east. It was originally constructed in the early 20th century, and was named after William Schulz, an alderman on the Toombul shire council at the time. Today the canal begins in Kedron at the end of the Kedron Brook. Beyond the Toombul Shopping Centre carpark the Kedron Brook Floodway acts a main water diversion for waters away from the Brisbane Airport terminals via Nudgee towards the Boondall Wetlands park.

The airport services 31 airlines flying to 50 domestic and 29 international destinations, total amounting to more than 22.7 million passengers who travelled through the airport in 2016. In 2016, an OAG report named Brisbane airport as the fifth-best performing large-sized airport in the world for on-time performance with 87% of arrivals and departures occurring within 15 minutes of their scheduled times, slipping from 88.31% the year before. BNE covers an area of 2,700 hectares (6,672 acres), making the airport among the largest in land area in all of Australia.Brisbane Airport is a major hub for both Virgin Australia and Qantas, and a secondary hub for Qantas' low cost subsidiary Jetstar. Brisbane has the third highest number of domestic connections in Australia following Sydney and Melbourne. It is also home to Qantas' Airbus A330 and Boeing 737 heavy maintenance facilities. Virgin Australia has a smaller maintenance facility at the airport, where line-maintenance on the airline's 737 fleet is performed. Alliance Airlines and QantasLink also conduct maintenance at the airport. The airport has international and domestic passenger terminals, a cargo terminal, a general aviation terminal and apron as well as two runways. JetGo also operated from Brisbane Airport until its demise in 2018. The Royal Flying Doctor Service has one of its nine Queensland bases at Brisbane Airport.

Pinkenba War Memorial is a heritage-listed memorial at Eagle Farm Road, Pinkenba, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Ernest Gunderson and built in 1919. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 3 October 2005.

Myrtletown is a former town and now industrial neighbourhood within the suburb of Pinkenba, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Pinkenba railway station was originally the terminus station of the Pinkenba Line, just 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) from the Brisbane central business district and 14.1 kilometres (8.8 mi) from Central station by rail. It opened in 1897 and was rebuilt in 1969, with a new station closer to the township of Pinkenba. The first station became a shunters' quarters. The line closed to all passenger traffic in 1993.

Bulwer Island Refinery was an oil refinery on Bulwer Island near the mouth of the Brisbane River in Queensland, Australia. It is now a petroleum import and storage terminal. It was built by Amoco in the 1960s, taken over by BP in 1984 and converted to an import terminal in 2015. It occupies much of the former island. While it operated, it was the largest oil refinery in Queensland.

The Charlie Earp Bridge is a road bridge over the Airport Drive in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The bridge constructed over the main access road to the Brisbane Airport is less than 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) from the Gateway Motorway and the Airport Flyover. It provides access to the Airport Village and the shopping centre with its anchor tenant Direct Factory Outlets.

Meeandah railway station is an abandoned station on the Pinkenba railway line, just 8.7 kilometres (5.4 mi) from the Brisbane central business district; 13.4 kilometres (8.3 mi) from Central station by rail. It closed as a staffed station in 1930, reopened as an unattended gate in 1931, and was finally closed on 27 September 1993. The name Meeandah comes from the English word "meander," after the twisting and turning route of the nearby Brisbane River. Meeandah railway station falls within the suburb of Pinkenba.

Bunour railway station is an abandoned railway station on the Pinkenba railway line on the boundary between the suburbs of Eagle Farm and Pinkenba in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The station is 8.1 kilometres (5.0 mi) from the Brisbane central business district and 12.4 kilometres (7.7 mi) from Central station by rail. It opened in 1949 and closed on 27 September 1993. The name is derived from the aboriginal name for the black and white Australian white ibis bird.
