Currimundi Lake (Kathleen McArthur) Conservation Park is a protected area that is located in Wurtulla, north of Currimundi, approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) north of Caloundra, Queensland, Australia.The park is named after Kathleen McArthur, a local artist, conservationist and founding member of the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland in 1962.The park's total area is 50 hectares (124 acres). It was first declared as a conservation park in 1994. A large percentage of the park is wallum heath, which in turn then supports a large and diverse number of fauna; 353 species, 14 of which are introduced, 25 species are rare or threatened. A vast array of wildflowers may be seen in the park at any time of the year, but are most abundant in late winter to early spring. A local volunteer group currently visits the park every month to engage in activities such as removing of weeds and revegetating. The park has two well-mapped walking tracks with information signs. Picnic facilities are provided in the Crummunda Park; facilities include picnic tables, barbecues and toilets.The altitude of the terrain is 2 meters.

Nicklin Way (SR6) is a major road in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is named after former Queensland Premier Frank Nicklin, who opened the road on 5 June 1965. It runs from the southern end of the Sunshine Motorway at Mooloolaba in the north to Caloundra in the south, with the route signed as State Route 6. With the population of Sunshine Coast growing quickly, the road is often prone to congestion.The construction of the road included the construction of concrete bridges spanning the Mooloolah River, Currimundi Lake and Tucker's Creek at Mooloolaba. The bridges spanning Mooloolah River and Currimundi Lake are named McKenzies Bridge and Ahern Bridge respectively.

The Queensland Head of the River refers to two high school rowing regattas in Queensland Australia, one for boys (Great Public Schools Association of Queensland Inc., GPS) and one for girls (Brisbane Schoolgirls' Rowing Association., BSRA). The boys' regatta is held in mid to late March while the girls' regatta is held in late August to early September. Due to the lack of water at Wivenhoe Dam the boys' Head of the River was moved to Hinze Dam for 2006, and was then moved to Lake Kawana on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland the following year. Since the girls require 10 lanes for their regattas, the BSRA Head of the River was held at Hinze Dam from 2005 to 2007. However, due to construction work currently underway to increase the size of the dam, the BSRA Head of the River was also moved to Lake Kawana for the 2008 season. Both the GPS and BSRA competitions moved to Wyralong Dam in 2017 following the opening of the Queensland State Regatta Center the previous year.

The campus is next to Lake Kawana.The college is the result of a merger between the Grade 7 to Grade 12, Kawana Waters State High School, with the primary to Year Seven school, Bokarina State School in 2006. Kawana Waters State High School was the original building, built in 1986, with Bokarina State School being built in 1987.

Kawana Waters is an urban centre on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, between Caloundra and Maroochydore along the Coral Sea coast. It was originally the estate development name and has passed into common usage, but it is not officially a town nor a locality. The official suburbs (listed below) are connected by the Nicklin Way arterial road. It is sometimes abbreviated to Kawana, which is a suburb of Rockhampton. Many shopping and sporting facilities, including Kawana Shoppingworld are located in the Kawana Waters estate area.
