Nor Hachn

Arzni (Armenian: Արզնի, Assyrian Neo-Aramaic: ܐܪܙܢܝ, Russian: Арзни), is a resort village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia located on in the Hrazdan canyon. Modern village was founded on the place of old Armenian village called Arzni and mentioned by Movses Khorenatsi during the 19th century by Assyrian Christians who migrated to Eastern Armenia from Iran. The village is predominantly inhabited by Assyrians.

Byureghavan (Armenian: Բյուրեղավան), is a town and urban municipal community in the Kotayk Province of Armenia. It is located 16 kilometres (10 miles) northeast of Yerevan, and 25 kilometres (16 miles) south of the provincial center Hrazdan. It covers an area of 4 square kilometres (1.5 square miles). The rural communities of Nurnus and Arzni form the northern and southern borders of the town respectively. As of the 2011 census, the population of the town is 9,513. Currently, the town has an approximate population of 8,300 as per the 2016 official estimate.

Arzni Airport (Armenian: Արզնի օդանավակայան) (previously known as Yerevan Yeghvard Airport) (Armenian: Երևան Եղվարդ օդանավակայան) is a military airport located near the town of Nor Hachn, 13 km (8 mi) north of Yerevan and 2 km (1 mi) west of Arzni. The airport serves as a training base and is attached to the Armenak Khanperyants Military Aviation University, operated by the Ministry of Defence of Armenia. The airport also hosts several military exhibitions and training exercises as well as RC Aircraft events. The airport currently hosts several Antonov An-2, Yak-52 and Piper Archer aircraft as well as several Mil Mi-2 helicopters used for training.

Nor Geghi (Armenian: Նոր Գեղի) is a major village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia, located around 22 km north of the capital Yerevan, near the town of Nor Hachen. As of the 2011 census, the population of the village is 5,319.

Getamej (Armenian: Գետամեջ, also Romanized as Getamech; until 1948, Ketran) is a town in the Kotayk Province of Armenia. 'Getamej' translates roughly to English as 'Mid-River'.

Nor Artamet (Armenian: Նոր Արտամետ) is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia.

Verin Ptghni (Armenian: Վերին Պտղնի), is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia.

Mrgashen (Armenian: Մրգաշեն; until 1964, "the village attached to Sovkhoz No. 36") is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia. It is located along the left bank of the Arzni-Shamiram aqueduct. Mrgashen was officially founded in March 1960 around the state-owned collective farm or sovkhoz No. 6. The local economy is highly dependent on agriculture, based primarily on orchard cultivation and pig or cattle-breeding. The community currently has a school, kindergarten, house of culture (seating for 300), medical station (with 6 employees), and a library. 60% of households receive natural gas and drinking water for the village comes from the Arzakan-Yerevan network, while water for irrigation comes from the Arzni-Shamiram aqueduct.

Ptghnavank (Armenian: Պտղնավանք) or Ptghni temple (Armenian:Պտղնի Վանք) is located in the village of Ptghni in the Kotayk Province of Armenia.

Ptghni (Armenian: Պտղնի), is a village located in the Kotayk Province of Armenia along the left bank of the Hrazdan River. It was founded in 1831 in the vicinity of an abandoned dwelling. The village has a school, kindergarten, house of culture, and a library. The local economy is dependent on agriculture and local inhabitants primarily grow grapes, melons, gourds, and breed cattle. Within the village are the remains of fortress walls and Ptghavank of the 6th to 7th-century.

Abovyan or Abovian (Armenian: Աբովյան [ɑbɔvˈjɑn]), is a town and urban municipal community in Armenia within the Kotayk Province. It is located 16 kilometres (10 miles) northeast of Yerevan and 32 kilometres (20 miles) southeast of the province centre Hrazdan. As of the 2011 census, the population of the town is 43,495, down from 59,000 reported at the 1989 census. Currently, the town has an approximate population of 44,900 as per the 2020 official estimate.With a motorway and railway running through the city connecting Yerevan with the areas of the northeast, Abovyan is considered a satellite city of the Armenian capital. Therefore, Abovyan is generally known as the "northern gate of Yerevan". Abovyan covers an area of around 11 square kilometres (4.2 square miles).

Balahovit (Armenian: Բալահովիտ, also Romanized as Balaovit) is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia. The majority of the early settlers of the village immigrated in 1828-29 from Khoy and Salmast in present-day Iran, while some of the immigrants came from Bulankh. It was renamed Balahovit in 1968 at the request of an Armenian-American group, after one of the eight cantons (gavar) of Sophene in Greater Armenia, of the same name. The community has a school, house of culture, and a first aid station, as well as the site of Yerevan Veterinary Institute's experimental station. Balahovit had a kindergarten, but it was closed in July 2004 due to the deteriorating conditions of the educational facility. The local economy is heavily dependent on agriculture, based primarily on grain farming, orchard cultivation, and cattle-breeding. Balahovit has a small minority of Kurds (including Yazidis) and Russians.
