St Aloysius Catholic College is an independent Roman Catholic co-educational primary and secondary day school with campuses in Kingston Beach and Huntingfield, in southern Tasmania. The college provides education for children from Kindergarten to Year 4 at the Kingston Beach campus and Year 5 to Year 10 at the Huntingfield campus.

Maranoa Heights is a residential neighbourhood of the suburb of Kingston in the greater Hobart area of Tasmania, Australia. It is largely within the southern part of the area contained by the B68 Channel Highway, the C628 Roslyn Avenue and Algona Road. Southern Christian College is an independent non-denominational Christian co-educational primary and secondary day school located in Kingston, Tasmania providing education from kinder to year 12, as well as providing pre-school services as Kingston Early Learning Centre. Southern Christian College was founded in 1986. Since 2014 it has been an International Baccalaureate world school, teaching the IB curriculum.It is a ministry of CityLight Church, which is located on the same property. The school is a member of Christian Schools Australia and Independent Schools Tasmania. Until 2015 it taught kinder-year 10, when it received authorisation to start year 11 and 12 in 2016.

Algona Road is a major link road, connecting the residents of Blackmans Bay to Kingston in Southern Tasmania, Australia. The road was constructed in 1986 as a two lane road, with provision for a second carriageway when needed. A roundabout was installed on the junction with the Channel Highway in 1993 to address safety issues. The Kingston Bypass connects Algona Road to the Southern Outlet and provides a quicker route to the City of Hobart.

Kingston Beach is a residential locality in the local government area (LGA) of Kingborough in the Hobart LGA region of Tasmania. The locality is about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south-east of the town of Kingston. The 2016 census recorded a population of 1990 for the state suburb of Kingston Beach.It is a suburb of the greater Hobart area. It is located on the Derwent River at the mouth of Browns Rivulet. It was originally known as Browns River Beach in the 1850s. Kingston Beach was a regularly photographed location in the twentieth century.The beach is patrolled by Kingston Beach Surf Life Saving Club between the months of December and April. Other facilities include a dog beach, bike park, barbecue area, sailing club, playgrounds and various shops. The local Progress Association served between 1925 and 1992, known as either the Kingston Beach Progress Association, Kingston Beach Regatta Association, or the Kingston Beach Progress and Regatta Association.

Comprising an indoor outdoor complex, and standalone facilities, the centre is primarily anchored by Tasmania's largest Big W and a Woolworths supermarket, as well as Tasmania's only KaiserCraft store. The centre has a gross lettable area of 25,415 m2 (273,560 sq ft).

Calvin Christian School is a coeducational, private Kindergarten to Year 12 Christian school located 12 kilometres south of Hobart, Tasmania in Kingston. It is part of Christian Schools Tasmania, a network of four schools around Hobart. It is owned and managed by an association, whose members are parents and past parents of students. Although initiated and supported by members of the Christian Reformed Churches of Australia, the Church has no controlling influence, and the school community now includes many families from other Christian backgrounds. Calvin Christian School was the first Christian parent-controlled school in Australia, founded in 1962 by members of the Dutch Reformed community living in and around Kingston. The founders of the school were a group of Christian parents who shared a desire to educate their children in a Christ-centred environment. The school campus was built without any government funding, with many of the construction workers being parents of future students, who volunteered their time and resources to bring the school into existence. Calvin Christian School is named after the Protestant reformer John Calvin. The school's annual fundraiser, held in September, is the Oliebollen Festival, which is well attended by the local community.

Kingston is a town on the outskirts of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. The Peter Murrell Conservation Area is located in Huntingfield, Tasmania, approximately 15 km (9.3 mi) south of the state's capital city, Hobart. The conservation area has an area of 135 ha (330 acres) and is one of three reserves within the Peter Murrell Reserves. Also within these reserves are the Peter Murrell State Reserve (133 ha (330 acres)) and a Public Reserve (9 ha (22 acres)). These reserves and the Conservation Area lie at the base of the Tinderbox Peninsula, between the suburbs of Kingston, Howden and Blackman's Bay. The Peter Murrell Conservation Area surrounds the northern, western and southern sides of the Peter Murrell State Reserve.

The Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) is a division of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. The Division undertakes science programs and research projects to contribute to an understanding of Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. It conducts and supports collaborative research programs with other Australian and international organisations, such as the Bureau of Meteorology and Geoscience Australia, as well as administering and maintaining a presence in Australian Antarctic and sub-Antarctic territories. Bonnet Hill is a residential locality in the local government area (LGA) of Kingborough in the Hobart LGA region of Tasmania. The locality is about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of the town of Kingston. The 2016 census recorded a population of 505 for the state suburb of Bonnet Hill.It is also a massive hill of the greater Hobart area. The suburb, on the hill of the same name, overlooks Kingston. Bonnet Hill is a popular cycling route. Located on it is the famous Shot Tower. The sides of the hill are riddled with small paths mostly leading to the nearby Kingston Beach. The Alum Cliffs along Bonnet Hill's cliffed coast reach heights of up to 30 metres (98 ft) above sea level and have vistas facing the Derwent Estuary, Storm Bay, South Arm and Bruny Island.
