Yerevan Lake

The Shengavit Settlement (Armenian: Շենգավիթ հնավայր, Shengavit' hənavayr) is an archaeological site in present-day Yerevan, Armenia located on a hill south-east of Yerevan Lake. It was inhabited during a series of settlement phases from approximately 3000 BC cal to 2500 BC cal in the Kura Araxes (Shengavitian) Period of the Early Bronze Age and irregularly re-used in the Middle Bronze Age until 2200 BC cal. The town occupied an area of six hectares. It appears that Shengavit was a societal center for the areas surrounding the town due to its unusual size, evidence of surplus production of grains, and metallurgy, as well as its monumental 4 meter wide stone wall. Three smaller village sites of Moukhannat Tepe, Khorumbulagh, and Tairov have been identified and were located outside the walls of Shengavit. Its pottery makes it a type site of the Kura-Araxes or Early Transcaucasian Period and the Shengavitian culture area.

Alashkert Stadium (Armenian: Ալաշկերտ մարզադաշտ), is a football stadium in Yerevan, Armenia. It was known as Nairi Stadium until 2013 when it was renamed Alashkert by the new owners. The stadium is located in Shengavit District, adjacent to Lake Yerevan, on the left bank of Hrazdan River.

The Embassy of the United States of America to Armenia (Armenian: Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ-ի դեսպանատուն) is the diplomatic mission of the United States to Armenia. It is located adjacent to Lake Yerevan along the Yerevan-Etchmiadzin highway. The site occupies an area of 90,469 square meters (22 acres); which is currently the second largest land parcel by area on which a U.S. Embassy had been built on when it was completed in 2005, after the embassy in Baghdad.The embassy serves as a symbol of the ongoing partnership between the United States and Armenia, as the two nations share membership in several international organizations, including the United Nations, Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and World Trade Organization.

Mika Stadium (Armenian: Միկա Մարզադաշտ), is a football stadium in Yerevan, Armenia, built 2006–2007 and opened in 2008. The capacity of the stadium is 7,000 and served as the home ground of Ulisses FC, FC Lokomotiv Yerevan, FC Noah and FC West Armenia, currently used by Armenian women's national team and FC Mika.

Garegin Nzhdeh Square (Armenian: Գարեգին Նժդեհի Հրապարակ, romanized: Garegin Nzhdehi hraparak), formerly Souren Spandaryan Square (Armenian: Սուրեն Սպանդարյանի հրապարակ, romanized: Souren Spandaryani hraparak), is the second largest square in the city of Yerevan, Armenia. It is located in the Shengavit district, to the south of the city centre. The square is intersected by the following streets: Garegin Nzhdeh, Manandian, Yeghbayrutian and Bagratuniats. The square was officially opened on 30 April 1959. The statue of the Bolshevik leader Suren Spandaryan is erected in the square since 1990. The square was renamed after the Armenian National Hero Garegin Nzhdeh on 25 May 1991.The metro station of Garegin Nzhdeh Square and the "Metro Theatre" hall are located underground the square.

Mika Sports Arena (Armenian: Միկա Մարզադահլիճ), is a multi-purpose sports arena located in the Shengavit District of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It has a capacity of 1,200 spectators. The arena was constructed in 2009 by the Mika Corporation Ltd., the owners of the currently-defunct football club Mika FC. It is located near the Mika Stadium. Mika Sports Arena is currently home to the Armenia national basketball team. It was also home to the short-lived Urartu BC basketball team during 2016.

Garegin Nzhdeh Square (Armenian: Գարեգին Նժդեհի Հրապարակ) is a Yerevan Metro station. It was opened to the public on 4 January 1987 and located on Garegin Nzhdeh Square. Formerly known by the name Spandaryan Square, it was renamed as a tribute to the Armenian independence hero, Garegin Nzhdeh.

The Shengavit Medical Center (Armenian: Շենգավիթ բժշկական կենտրոն) is a multi-disciplinary therapeutic and diagnostic hospital facilities in Yerevan, Armenia. It is the base of the clinical postgraduate training for Yerevan State Medical University and the Ministry of Health (Armenia). The Center operates the following services: obstetrics, operative and endoscopic gynecology, oncology, reproductology, general and endoscopic surgery, micro- and plastic surgery, vascular surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, anesthesiology and critical care medicine, dentistry, diagnostic center, and a clinical laboratory. There are 65 beds available in the hospital, with an average of 7000 patients served per year.

Yerevan Figure Skating and Hockey Sports School (Armenian: Երևանի գեղասահքի և հոկեյի մարզադպրոց), is a figure skating centre and school in the Armenian capital Yerevan. The centre was opened in December 2015 and has a capacity of 538 seats. It is located on Admiral Isakov 27/10 Avenue, adjacent to the Yerevan Velodrome. The centre was named after the 10-time figure skating world champion and Russian politician Irina Rodnina. In 2019, the Yerevan City Council renamed the Irina Rodnina Figure Skating School to Yerevan Figure Skating and Hockey Sports School.

Yerevan Velodrome (Armenian: Երևանի հեծանվահրապարակ), is an outdoor velodrome or track cycling venue in Yerevan, Armenia. Located on Admiral Isakov Avenue and owned by the municipality of Yerevan, the 250-metre (820 ft) long track is able to host international events. The velodrome has a capacity of 650 seats with lamelled wood roof and covers a total area of 3,200 square metres (34,000 sq ft). It was built to replace the old cycling track which was later demolished in 2012. The construction of the venue began in June 2010 and completed in September 2011. It was officially opened on 15 September 2011 with the presence of the Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan.The velodrome can provide a parking lot up to 240 cars. The Armenian Cycling Federation headquarters is located on the premises of the velodrome.

Shengavit (Armenian: Շենգավիթ), is a Yerevan Metro station. It was opened to public on December 26, 1985. Located on Soghomon Tarontsi street within the Artur Karapetyan park, the station serves the Shengavit District. Shengavit station connects the Gortsaranain station with the Garegin Nzhdeh station. There is also a secondary line that connects Shengavit with the Charbakh station.

Noragyugh (Armenian: Նորագյուղ) is a historic neighborhood in Kentron District of Yerevan, Armenia. A plan is in place to destroy the historic district and turn it into a business center, known as "New Yerevan".
