The Dayeh Takashimaya Department Store (Chinese: 大葉高島屋百貨公司) is a department store in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan that opened in 1 November 1994. With a total floor area of 39,600 m2 (426,000 sq ft) and 2000 parking spaces, the department store has 12 floors above ground and three basement levels. Main core stores include Muji, Books Kinokuniya, Jasons Market Place and various themed restaurants. The department store was originally jointly operated by Dayeh Group and Takashimaya, but on 17 May 2016, Takashimaya announced that it has decided to sell all the stakes to Dayeh Group, but the name of the department store remained unchanged.

Taipei American School (TAS; Chinese: 臺北美國學校; abbreviation TAS) is a non-profit private international school with an American-based curriculum located in Tianmu, Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. TAS serves students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. At the high school, students may choose from a range of courses including honors, AP, and IB courses that fulfill the full IB Diploma Program.Founded in 1949, the school served as a U.S. Department of Defense contract school during the U.S. military presence in Taiwan from the 1950s to 1970s. Upon termination of diplomatic relations between the United States and the ROC in 1979, TAS was reorganized into a private international school. The school is operated by the Taipei American School Foundation under contract to the American Institute in Taiwan, the United States' quasi-embassy in Taiwan. The school is a member of the G30 Schools Group. Most graduates of TAS attend colleges and universities in the United States, although some choose to attend schools in other countries due to obliging other national passports to be admitted in the tertiary education across the globe despite having a distinctive American high school educational experience. As required by ROC law, TAS admits only students who hold foreign (i.e. non-ROC) passports.

The Huaku Sky Garden (Chinese: 華固天鑄; pinyin: Huá gù tiān zhù) is a residential skyscraper located in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is the tallest building in Shilin District, the 46th tallest building in Taiwan and one of the tallest residential buildings in Taipei. The height of building is 156.7 m (514 ft), the floor area is 47,132 m2 (507,320 sq ft), and it comprises 38 floors above the ground, as well as 4 basement levels.

The Children's Art Museum in Taipei (traditional Chinese: 蘇荷兒童美術館; simplified Chinese: 苏荷儿童美术馆; pinyin: Sūhé Értóng Měishùguǎn) is a museum in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. The museum was established to promote art education for children, parents, teachers and the general public.

The Haitian ambassador in Taipei is the official representative of the Government in Port-au-Prince to the Government of Taiwan.

The Guatemalan ambassador in Taipei is the official representative of the Government in Guatemala City to the Government of Taiwan.

The Dominican ambassador in Beijing is the official representative of the government in Santo Domingo to the government in Beijing. In July 2004, Taiwan was assured by the Dominican Republic that it would not switch its diplomatic recognition from Taipei to Beijing, even though it had established business ties with China. When Leonel Fernández was president-elect, he told Taiwan's ambassador that the new government will continue to recognize Taiwan. China opened a commercial liaison office in the Dominican Republic, but the long-standing friendship between Taiwan and the Dominican Republic will remain unchanged, but the D.R. will have commercial ties with China.

The Solomon Islands ambassadors to Taiwan were the official representatives of Solomon Islands government in the period from 1983 to 2019 when Solomon Islands recognised Taiwan. On 15 September 2019, the parliament of Solomon Islands voted to change diplomatic recognition from the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the People's Republic of China. The Diplomatic Quarter (Chinese: 使館特區; pinyin: Shǐguǎn Tèqū) is a building that houses most of Taiwan's foreign embassies, as well as the headquarters of the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF). It is located in the Tianmu neighbourhood of Shilin District in the capital Taipei.Additionally, the term may refer to the area around this building, for example in the context of the housing market.
