The Atatürk Olympic Stadium (Turkish: Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadı, pronounced [aˈtatyɾc]) is a stadium in Istanbul, Turkey. Located in the western district of İkitelli, it is the largest-capacity stadium in the country. The stadium is named after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey. Its construction began in 1999 and was completed in 2002. It was originally built for Turkey's failed bid for the 2008 Olympic Games that were ultimately awarded to Beijing, China. It cost about US$140 million.With its 76,761 (all-seater) capacity and Olympic size, it was granted the "5-star sports complex" title by the UEFA in 2004, enabling it to host the finals of UEFA events. The 2005 UEFA Champions League Final between Milan and Liverpool was played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium on 25 May 2005. The stadium is also certified by the IAAF and IOC as a first-class venue for track and field, and has hosted several European athletic competitions. The stadium was originally scheduled to stage its second Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich on 30 May 2020, but following the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe the match was postponed and later rescheduled to August at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal behind closed doors; the stadium was then set to hold the 2021 final between Manchester City and Chelsea instead, but the match was once again moved to Portugal, this time at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto. The stadium is scheduled to host the 2023 UEFA Champions League Final.Süper Lig football team Istanbul BB used the venue as their home stadium until they moved to the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium in 2014. Galatasaray played its home games at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium during the 2003–2004 football season because their own venue, the Ali Sami Yen Stadium, was under renovation. Galatasaray eventually returned to Ali Sami Yen for the 2004–2005 season, but played 2006–2007 UEFA Champions League group stage matches at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium. Sivasspor also played some of its Süper Lig home games at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium due to bad weather conditions in their original hometown stadium. Beşiktaş used the arena in the 2013–14 season to play most of their home games, with the reasoning being the same as Galatasaray's, while their own stadium, the Vodafone Park, was under construction.

Olimpiyat is an underground rapid transit station in Başakşehir, Istanbul and is the northern terminus of the M9 line of the Istanbul Metro. It was first opened as part of M3 but in 2021 it was made a part of M9. It is located just north of the Atatürk Olympic Stadium but within the Olympic stadium complex. The station consists of two island platforms servicing three tracks. West of the station lies the Olimpiyat Yard, which houses the dispatcher of the M3 and the M9 line.Olimpiyat station was opened on 22 November 2013.

Olimpiyatköy is an underground station on the M11 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located under an opening at the northeast of the Atatürk Olympic Stadium complex in the Ziya Gökalp neighborhood of Başakşehir. It was opened on 20 June 2026. The station is an interchange station with the M9 line at Olimpiyat, which uses a different station name but provides an out-of-station transfer with the M11 line.

Tepeüstü is a town in the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul, Turkey.

Halkalı Stadı (Halkalı Stadium) is an underground station on the M11 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located under 4th Street in the Atakent neighborhood of Küçükçekmece. It was opened on 20 June 2026. The station will become an interchange station with the M7 line at Atakent Mahallesi in 2028.

Ziya Gökalp Mahallesi is an underground station on the M9 line of the Istanbul Metro in Başakşehir, Istanbul. The station is located beneath Hürriyet Boulevard in the Ziya Gökalp neighborhood of Başakşehir. Ziya Gökalp Mahallesi was opened on 13 June 2013 as part of the Olimpiyatköy branch to Olimpiyat station. It was converted in to the M9 line along with the Olimpiyat station.

Atakent is a neighbourhood in the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul, Türkiye. As of 2022, it had a population of 103,195, making Atakent the third-most populous neighbourhood in Istanbul by population. The neighbourhood covers an area of 8.52 km². Atakent's population has increased significantly, particularly with TOKİ's housing projects in Halkalı. The neighbourhood is notable for its planned residential areas and modern housing developments.

Yarımburgaz is a neighborhood in the Küçükçekmece District on the European side of Istanbul, Turkey. Its population is 8,759 (2024). The neighborhood is bordered on the north by the Trans-European Motorway, with the Başakşehir District lying on the other side of the highway; on the east by the Küçükçekmece neighborhoods of Atakent and İstasyon; on the south by Lake Küçükçekmece; and on the west by Lake Küçükçekmece and the Avcılar District.

Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital (Turkish: Başakşehir Çam ve Sakura Şehir Hastanesi), also known as Başakşehir City Hospital, is a large hospital complex in Başakşehir district of Istanbul, Turkey. It was developed jointly by Turkish and Japanese cooperation, symbolized in the name with Çam ve Sakura (English: pine and cherry blossom). The hospital complex opened in May 2020.

Şehir Hastanesi is an underground rapid transit station on the M3 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located on Olimpiyat Boulevard in Başakşehir. It was opened on 8 April 2023 with the Onurkent-Kayaşehir Merkez expansion built by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

Melantias (Greek: Μελαντιάς), often also Melantiada, Melentiana, Melitias, or Melitiada, was a settlement in Eastern Thrace in Roman and Byzantine times, near the city of Constantinople (modern Istanbul, Turkey).
