The Kornel Ujejski Memorial (Polish pronunciation: [ˈkɔr.nɛl uˈjɛj.ski]; Polish: Pomnik Kornela Ujejskiego; Ukrainian: Пам'ятник Корнелю Уєйському, romanized: Pam'yatnyk Kornelyu Uyeysʹkomu) is a monument in Szczecin, Poland, within the Downtown district. It is placed at the Victory Square, near the Harbour Gate, within the neighbourhood of New Town. It is dedicated to Kornel Ujejski (1823–1897), a 19th-century Romantic poet and political activist. The monument has a form of a bronze bust placed on a granite pedestal. It was designed by Antoni Popiel, and originally unveiled on Lviv, then located in the Second Polish Republic, and now in Ukraine. The monument was placed in front ofthe City Cassino at 13 Shevchenko Avenue (then known as Academic Street), which is now occupied by the Lviv Regional Universal Scientific Library. The monument was taken down in 1946, and returned to Poland in 1950, where it was displayed in the Wilanów Garden in Warsaw until 1956. It was unveiled at the Victory Square on 27 November 1956. Originally, it was placed near the St. Adalbert Church, and was moved closed to the Harbour Gate in the 1970s.

The Amphitrite Fountain (German: Amphitrite-Brunnen; Polish: Fontanna Amfitryty), also known as the Amphitrite Monument (Polish: Pomnik Amfitryty), and the Felderhoff Fountain (German: Felderhoff-Brunnen; Polish: Fontanna Felderhoffa), was a Baroque Revival fountain sculpture in the city of Szczecin, Poland (then German Empire), placed at the intersection of current Independence Avenue, Wyszyńskiego Street, and the Victory Square, in front of the Harbour Gate. Designed by Reinhold Felderhoff, it depicted Amphitrite, goddess of the sea in the Greek mythology, as a nude female figure, standing on a chariot drawn by two galloping horses. It was unveiled in 1902, and removed in 1932. It is currently considered as a lost work of art.

The Harbour Gate (Polish: Brama Portowa; German: Hafentor), formerly known as the Berlin Gate (Polish: Brama Berlińska; German: Berliner Tor), and the Brandenburg Gate (Polish: Brama Brandenburska; German: Brandenburger Tor), is a historic Baroque city gate in Szczecin, Poland, located at the intersection of Independence Avenue, Wyszyńskiego Street, and Victory Square. It was constructed between 1725 and 1727, with the project being designed by Gerhard Cornelius van Wallrawe, and its elaborate façade sculptures done by Bartholomé Damart. It served as one of the entraces to the city, and was part of the fortification walls, until 1841, when they were deconstructed. Currently, it serves as a community theatre venue.

The Victory Square (Polish: Plac Zwycięstwa; German: Siegesplatz) is an urban square in Szczecin, Poland, within the Downtown district. It is located it the neighbourhood of New Town, and forms a roundabout, intersecting with Bolesław Wrymouth Street, Polish Armed Forces Avenue, Stanisław Więckowski Street, St. Adalbert Street, Kashubian Street, Independence Avenue, Stefan Wyszyński Street, Potulicka Street, and Nicolaus Copernicus Street. The square features the Harbour Gate, a historic Baroque city gate dating to 1727, the St. Adalbert Church, a Gothic Revival dating to 1909, functioning as the Roman Catholic garrison church for the soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces, and the Church of the Holiest Heart of Our Lord, a modernist church dating to 1919, with elements of the Baroque Revival and Romanesque Revival architecture. The square was developed in the 19th century, after the removal of the city fortifications in 1886.

The statue of Jan Czekanowski (Polish: Pomnik Jana Czekanowskiego) is a brass sculpture in Szczecin, Poland, placed at the Anders Square, within the Centre neighbourhood of the Downtown district. It is dedicated to Jan Czekanowski, an anthropologist, statistician, ethnographer, traveller, and linguist, who was one of the first persons to use quantitative methods in linguistics. The sculpture has a form of a statue sitting on a large suitcase, forming a bench. It was designed by sculptor Yossouf Toure "Derme" based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, and unveiled on 19 May 2012.

The General Władysław Anders Square (Polish: Plac gen. Władysława Andersa), also known as the General Władysław Anders Park (Polish: Park gen. Władysława Andersa), is a garden square in Szczecin, Poland, in the neighbourhood of Centrum, within the Downtown district. It is located between Więckowskiego, Śląska, Bałuki, Św. Wojciecha Streets, and the Victory Square. The area was originally founded in 1846 as a military cemetery, which was eventually closed for burials in the 1900s, and torn down and turned in a garden square in 1945.

The Palace of the Pomeranian Landowners (Polish: Pałac Ziemstwa Pomorskiego), also known as the General Landscape Administration of Pomerania Building (German: Gebäude der Pommersche Generallandschaftsdirektion), is a historical Baroque Revival palace in Szczecin, Poland, located at 40 Independence Avenue in the neighbourhood of Centrum. It was designed by Emil Drews, and constructed between 1893 and 1895, as the headquarters of the General Landscape Administration of Pomerania and the Pomeranian Rural Bank. Since 2016, it houses the Faculty of Music of the Szczecin Art Academy.

Brama Portowa I (Polish pronunciation: [ˈbrãma pɔrˈtɔva ˈjɛdɛ̃n]) is an A-class office building located in the quarter bounded by Niepodległości Avenue, Wyszyński Street and Tkacka Street, in the Old Town, in the Śródmieście district. Brama Portowa I earned a LEED Gold certification.

Independence Avenue (Polish: Aleja Niepodległości) is an avenue street in Szczecin, Poland, located in the Downtown district, crossing the neighbourhoods of Centre and New Town. It is placed on north–south axis. At its northern end, it intersects with and Adamowicz Square, Bałuki Street, Emancipation Avenue, and Polish Soldier Square, and at its southern end, with Dworcowa and Trzeciego Maja Streets. Along its length, it also forms intersections with Bogurodzicy Street, Victory Square, and Wyszyńskiego Street. It is primarily surrounded by tenement houses and apartment buildings. It also features the Post Office Building no. 1, a Gothic Revival building from 1905, currently used by the Polish Post, the Pomeranian Landowners Palace, a Baroque Revival building from 1895, currently used by the Szczecin Art Academy, and the Galeria Kaskada shopping centre. Independence Avenue was first formed in 1725 as an urban square, known as the Green Parade Square (German: Grüner Paradeplatz; Polish: Zielony Plac Parad). At the beginning of the 19th century, it was transformed into a wide pedestrian avenue with rows of trees, and from 1809, it was simply known as the Parade Square (German: Paradeplatz; Polish: Plac Parad), receiving its current name in 1945.

The Galeria Kaskada is a shopping centre in Szczecin, Poland, located at 36 Niepodległości Avenue. The building was opened on 28 September 2011, and belongs to the ECE Polska company.

The Red Town Hall (Polish: Czerwony Ratusz; German: Rotes Rathaus), also known as the New Town Hall (Polish: Nowy Ratusz; German: Neues Rathaus), is a historic Gothic Revival town hall building in Szczecin, Poland. It is placed at 4 Stephen Báthory Square, within the New Town neighbourhood of the Downtown district. It was designed by Konrad Kruhl, and opened in 1897, as the seat of municipal government. It was burned down in 1945, and rebuilt in 1963, now housing the local maritime administration.

The Szczecin Voivodeship was a voivodeship (province) with capital in Szczecin, that was centered on the Farther Pomerania. It existed from 1946 to 1975. Until 19 February 1947 it was under the administration of Provisional Government of National Unity, which then was replaced by the Polish People's Republic. It was established on 28 June 1946, when it was formed from the territory of the District of the Western Pomerania, and parts of the Gdańsk, and Pomeranian Voivodeships. On 6 July 1950, its eastern half was incorporated into then-established Koszalin Voivodeship, and the voivodeship ceased to exist on 31 May 1975, when it was replaced by then-established Szczecin and Gorzów Voivodeships.
