The Scheveningen Pier is a pleasure pier in the Dutch resort town of Scheveningen near The Hague. Opened in 1961, the current pier is the second in the town, the first being lost just after, and as a result of, the Second World War.

SkyView de Pier is a 45-meter tall Ferris wheel in Scheveningen, The Hague. It was the first Ferris wheel constructed over sea in Europe, as it is on the Scheveningen Pier eight meters above the North Sea. It opened to the public on August 19, 2016.

Beelden aan Zee ("Images/sculptures by the sea") museum in the Scheveningen district of The Hague, founded in 1994 by the sculpture collectors Theo and Lida Scholten, is the only Dutch museum which specializes in exhibiting sculpture. The museum shows contemporary international and national sculpture. The curators organize new exhibitions three or more times per year in its large circular main space. Exhibitions are created on themes such as the 2010 exhibitions, "Unwanted Land" exhibition by 6 contemporary artists or the "Fathers and Sons" show, or exhibitions around a particular artist. The museum features works by Karel Appel, Wim Quist, Man Ray, and Fritz Koenig. The mission of the museum is to use a mix of forms and materials in the works express "the human experience."Since 2004, the museum building also houses the Sculptuur Instituut ("Sculpture Institute"), a research institute on contemporary sculpture. The institute library is accessible during museum opening hours.

Seinpost is a restaurant located in Scheveningen, Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the periods 1985-1989 and 2006–present. It held a Bib Gourmand at least in the period 2001–2003.GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 17.0 out of 20 points.The Head chef of Seinpost is Gert-Jan Cieremans. Cieremans had previously worked in the Michelin-starred Parkheuvel under Cees Helder, before becoming head chef at Seinpost in 1996. The head chef in the first Michelin period was Henk Savelberg. A company named "Tartuffe Holding", comprising Henk Savelberg and a group of friends, set up Restaurant Seinpost in 1983. In 1989, they started Vreugd en Rust and Savelberg moved. As a consequence of Savelberg leaving, Seinpost lost its star.In 1986, politician Ed Nijpels was an honorary commissioner of the company that ran Seinpost. When he became minister, he had to give up all other positions he held, including this one. Unfortunately, Seinpost forgot to inform the Chamber of Commerce that Nijpels had given up his position, so a weekly magazine tried to create a row over it. The matter was soon defused.

The Battle of Scheveningen (also known as the Battle of Ter Heijde) was the final naval battle of the First Anglo-Dutch War. It took place on 31 July 1653 (10 August on the Gregorian calendar), between the fleets of the Commonwealth of England and the United Provinces. The Dutch fleet suffered massive losses but achieved its immediate strategic goal of raising the Royal Navy blockade of the Dutch coast.

Belgisch Park (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbɛlɣis pɑr(ə)k], literally Belgian Park) is a neighbourhood in the Scheveningen district of The Hague, Netherlands. The area has around 7,900 residents and contains many trees and the adjoining “Nieuwe Scheveningse Bosjes” and “Oostduinen”. The buildings date from the period 1870–1940. Many of the houses are expensive private residences. In the east is location Scheveningen of the Hague Penitentiary Institution (Penitentiaire Inrichting Haaglanden), located at the road Pompstationsweg. On its premises is also the ICC Detention Centre for the detention of people awaiting trial before the International Criminal Court and the UN Detention Unit for the detention of people awaiting trial before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. The former Liberian president Charles Taylor, who is on trial before the Special Court for Sierra Leone is also held there; the trial location is that of the International Criminal Court, as decided in United Nations Security Council Resolution 1688 of 17 June 2006.

Hotelschool The Hague is a single sector university of applied sciences in the Netherlands. It was founded and funded in 1929 by the hospitality industry. In 2010, Hotelschool The Hague founded its university wide Research Centre, focusing on interdisciplinary research with a strong practice-oriented focus.

De Scheveningen Lighthouse is a lighthouse in Scheveningen, Netherlands. It was designed by Quirinus Harder and activated finished in 1875.
