The Kinkaid School is a PK-12 non-sectarian school in Piney Point Village, Texas, United States in Greater Houston. The Kinkaid School is the oldest independent coeducational school in Greater Houston. The student body is divided into the Lower School (PreK - 4th Grade), the Middle School (5th grade - 8th grade) and the Upper School (9th grade - 12th grade). The school motto is: "Lux per Scientiam" meaning, "Light through Knowledge". The School colors are purple and gold, and the school mascot is the falcon. The school is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest. The current head of school is Jonathan Eades. The current chairman of the Board of Trustees is Kenneth D. Cowan.A feature of Kinkaid's Upper School is its Interim Term, which provides three weeks in January for teacher-designed and student-selected curricula. Teachers at the School provide classes that they would otherwise not be able to teach as part of the normal semester, including military histories of the Civil War and World War II, introductory courses in digital programming and engineering, courses in photography and art history, and a course in Disney films. Students may also go on international trips sponsored by the school, such as tours of China, Italy and Greece; homestays in Mexico and France are also possibilities. Finally, the School provides connections with companies throughout the greater Houston area and, if the students prefer, throughout the world, in which its senior students may find internships.

Briargrove is a neighborhood in Houston, Texas, United States, near Uptown Houston. Briargrove was established in the 1950s with one-story ranch homes built in the 1950s and 1960s. Deed restrictions in the neighborhood were modified in 1986 to allow for 1+1⁄2-story and two-story homes. Afterwards some of the older ranch homes were torn down and replaced with newer 2-story homes.

Thomas Horace Rogers School is an alternative primary and secondary public school and part of the Houston Independent School District. The school is at 5840 San Felipe in Houston, Texas, United States, outside of the 610 Loop and inside Beltway 8, west of Uptown Houston. T. H. Rogers serves gifted and talented students in the Vanguard program from kindergarten through eighth grade, deaf students from pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade, and multiply impaired students from age 3 through 12th grade. The school previously served deaf students from pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade, but the program ended prior to the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

St. Francis Episcopal School, formerly St. Francis Episcopal Day School, is a private Episcopal school located on two campuses in the City of Piney Point Village and the Memorial area of Houston, Texas, United States. In fall 2018, St. Francis opened a high school on the Couper Campus (2300 S. Piney Point Rd., Houston, TX 77063) with its inaugural freshman class graduating in May 2022. The Piney Point Campus and affiliated parish, located at 335 Piney Point Rd., house the lower and middle schools. The Couper Campus is home to primary and upper school facilities, along with athletic fields used by the middle school. With over 900 students, St. Francis Episcopal School was once the largest K–8 Episcopal parish day school in the United States.
