Trinity Classical School is a private, classical Christian school offering college-preparatory, Christian education for grades pre-Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade in Houston, Texas. The school is one of approximately 25 University-style (or "blended model") schools in Texas. Trinity Classical School is an accredited member of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools and the Classical Latin School Association. The school has also been a member of the National Association of University-Model Schools. The school offers a classical curriculum and students attend classes on campus two days per week, with instruction continuing at home on the other three days of the week. Students are able to participate in fine arts electives, classes in Latin and Greek, as well as service projects. This hybrid model of education combines aspects of private and home schooling, resulting in greater parental participation and lower tuition fees.Trinity Classical School is a non-profit organization and has received 501(c)(3) designation. The school receives no state or federal funding. Tuition for the 2023–24 school year for all grades is $2,325 per semester ($4,650 per year). Books and tuition are purchased separately. The school offers two types of scholarships: need-based and ministerial.

The Houston Country Club is a country club in the Tanglewood area of Houston, Texas.

Tanglewood is an affluent neighborhood in western Houston, Texas, located off San Felipe Road.Tanglewood is located just outside the 610 Loop and inside Beltway 8 in the Uptown Houston area. Tanglewood was developed by the Tanglewood Corporation. Today the neighborhood is managed by the Tanglewood Homes Association. In 1997 Bob Tutt of the Houston Chronicle said that Tanglewood is "a leafy, upscale subdivision". Barbara and George H. W. Bush were longtime Tanglewood residents.

Thomas Horace Rogers School is an alternative primary and secondary public school and part of the Houston Independent School District. The school is at 5840 San Felipe in Houston, Texas, United States, outside of the 610 Loop and inside Beltway 8, west of Uptown Houston. T. H. Rogers serves gifted and talented students in the Vanguard program from kindergarten through eighth grade, deaf students from pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade, and multiply impaired students from age 3 through 12th grade. The school previously served deaf students from pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade, but the program ended prior to the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

San Felipe Plaza is a 46-story tower west of the Uptown Houston district in Houston, Texas, United States. Designed by architect Richard Keating, the building was constructed in 1984 by Linbeck Construction Corporation and contains 959,466 square feet (89,137.3 m2) of leaseable space. The building is the 16th tallest in the city and is the second-tallest building outside of Downtown Houston. It is 2 miles from the Houston Galleria.

St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas was founded in 1952 by J. Thomas Bagby as the largest parish of the Episcopal Church in North America with nearly 10,000 members. Marathon Oil Tower is a skyscraper in Uptown Houston. The building rises 562 feet (171 m) in height. It contains 41 floors, and was completed in 1983 and construction only took 22 months. First City Tower currently stands as the 20th-tallest building in the city. The architectural firm who designed the building was Pierce Goodwin Alexander & Linville.

The Consulate General of Sweden, Houston was the diplomatic mission of Sweden in Houston between 1963 and 1981. The consulate general originated from the consulate opened in 1950, which was converted into a consulate general in 1963. The consulate general tasks was to advance the interests of Sweden, and to serve and protect Swedes in Houston and different states in the Southern United States. Along with those in Chicago, Minneapolis, New York City, San Francisco, and Montreal, the consulate general belonged to the so-called "heritage consulates" due to the large number of inheritance cases it handled. The consulate general's district comprised not only the city of Houston but also the states of Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and the Florida panhandle. Between the years 1971 and 1977, there was no appointed consul general. In 1978, the consulate general was reopened but was shut down only three years later. Since 1983, a Swedish honorary consulate general has been operating in Houston.

The Art Institute of Houston was a private for-profit art school in Houston, Texas. It is owned by Education Principle Foundation. Founded in 1965 as the Houston School of Commercial Art, the school joined The Art Institutes system of schools in 1978 and moved to its current facility in 1990. All Art Institute schools closed on September 30, 2023.The Art Institute of Houston was one of two locations of The Art Institutes system in Texas and was accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart ( dew-SHEN) is a combined primary and secondary independent girls' school located at 10202 Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas. A member of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools, it offers a college preparatory curriculum for girls.Duchesne, which enrolls girls from pre-K3 to the 12th grade, is part of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest. Duchesne is in the Memorial area and is east of the city of Hunters Creek Village.

Four Leaf Towers is a high-rise residential complex located in Houston, Texas, United States, on San Felipe Street adjacent to the Uptown Houston district. They were designed by architect Cesar Pelli.
