It is a brick, Greek Revival, temple-fronted structure featuring four fluted Corinthian columns and built 1857–1858. The rear addition is a two-story Colonial Revival style wing dating from about 1900.Madison Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.Pastors at Douglas Memorial Community Church include Marion C. Bascom and Raphael Warnock.

Eutaw Place Temple is a large, eclectically-styled former synagogue on Eutaw Place in the Bolton Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. The temple was constructed to serve the German Jewish immigrant community. Originally built as a synagogue for the Temple Oheb Shalom congregation, the property was sold to the Prince Hall Masons in 1960. It was built in 1892 as the second home of the Oheb Shalom congregation, and borrows design elements from the Great Synagogue of Florence. The architect was Joseph Evans Sperry of Baltimore.The exterior is white Beaver Dam marble. The main space is roughly 82 feet (25 m) square, capped by a series of vaults and the dome and surrounded by galleries, seating about 2,200 people. The temple originally cost $225,000 to build.The Eutaw Place Temple is a major contributing structure in the Bolton Hill Historic District.

Cecil Apartments is a historic apartment building in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a seven-story building constructed of multiple shades of light-colored brick, accented with limestone and cast terra cotta ornament in the Beaux-Arts style. The structure takes the form of a "T". Constructed in 1902, it was one of the first important apartment buildings in Baltimore, built at the edge of the city's most elite downtown neighborhood, Bolton Hill. It was designed by Baltimore architect Edward Hughes Glidden, and it marked the evolution of elite living that had come to characterize the Bolton Hill neighborhood. Despite the apartments' location often being referred to as Bolton Hill, it is actually within the boundaries of the adjacent Madison Park neighborhood.Cecil Apartments was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

Home of the Friendless is a historic orphanage at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a three bay wide, five story high Second Empire style brick building constructed in 1870 as an orphanage. The building provided a home for orphaned and deserted children for six decades and was part of a three-building complex that housed from 100 to 200 children each year. By 1922 the Board of Managers and Trustees had decided to sell the property and move to the suburbs. The institution is now known as Woodbourne Center.Home of the Friendless was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The Union Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church building located at 1219 Druid Hill Avenue in central Baltimore, Maryland. The granite church was designed by New York architect William J. Beardsley and built in 1905 under the leadership of Rev. Harvey Johnson. The Gothic Revival structure features steeply pitched roofs, lancet windows, and distinctive buttressing on the front facade to provide support for the walls on a constrained lot size. The church was built for a predominantly African-American congregation established in 1852; its minister from 1872 to 1923, Rev. Harvey Johnson, was a prominent voice in the civil rights movement.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Brown Memorial Park Avenue Presbyterian Church of Baltimore, Maryland, U.S., is a large, Gothic Revival-style church built in 1870 and located at Park Avenue and Lafayette Avenue in the city's Bolton Hill neighborhood. Named in memory of a 19th-century Baltimore financier, the ornate church is noted for its exquisite stained glass windows by renowned artist Louis Comfort Tiffany, soaring vaulted ceiling, and the prominent persons associated with its history. Maltbie Babcock, who was the church's pastor 1887–1900, wrote the familiar hymn, This is My Father's World. Storied virtuoso concert performer Virgil Fox was organist at Brown Memorial early in his career (1936–1946).Called "one of the most significant buildings in this city, a treasure of art and architecture" by Baltimore Magazine, the church underwent a $1.8 million restoration between 2001 and 2003. It is part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) denomination.

Bolton Hill is a neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland, with 20 blocks of mostly preserved buildings from the late 19th century. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, preserved as a Baltimore City Historic District, and included within the boundaries of Baltimore National Heritage Area. The neighborhood is bounded by North Avenue, Mount Royal Avenue, Cathedral Street, Dolphin Street, and Eutaw Place. Bolton Hill is a largely residential neighborhood with three-story row houses with red brick, white marble steps, and high ceilings. There are also larger more ornate originally single-family houses, many houses of worship, parks, monuments, and a few large apartment buildings. Many significant residents have lived in the neighborhood, including F. Scott Fitzgerald, Woodrow Wilson, the Cone sisters, and Florence Rena Sabin.Bolton Hill is within easy walking distance of the State Center station on the Baltimore Metro Subway and the University of Baltimore/Mt. Royal and Cultural Center stations on the Baltimore Light Rail.

Sharp Street Memorial United Methodist Church and Community House is a historic United Methodist church located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is an 1898 Gothic Revival stone structure of massive proportions. It features sharply pitched gables, a square parapeted 85-foot-high bell tower, lancet windows, and Gothic influenced interior decorative detailing. The Community House is a Georgian Revival influenced brick structure, four stories high and built in 1921. The congregation was organized in 1787 and was highly influential in the antebellum freedom movement, the establishment of the first black school in Baltimore after the abolition of slavery, and the movement to foster the institution of the African American Methodist church. It is known as the "Mother Church" of Black Methodism in Maryland. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, during their formative years, held their meetings at this historic church.Sharp Street Memorial United Methodist Church and Community House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Cultural Center station is a Baltimore Light Rail station located along Howard Street in Midtown Baltimore, Maryland. It has two side platforms served by two tracks. The station opened on April 2, 1992, as part of the first phase of the system.
