St. Illuminator's Armenian Apostolic Cathedral (Armenian: Սուրբ Լուսաիորիչ Մայր Եկեղեցի) is a cathedral located at 221 East 27th Street between Second and Third avenues in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. Originally built in 1849 as the Rose Hill Methodist Episcopal Church, the edifice has been used by the Armenian Apostolic Church since 1915. It is the oldest Armenian church in New York and the cathedral of the Eastern Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Holy See of Cilicia.

217 East 28th Street is a building located between Second and Third avenues in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. Designed by the architecture firm of Napoleon LeBrun & Sons, the structure was constructed in 1893 as a fire house for Hook & Ladder Company No. 7 of the New York City Fire Department. Following the decommissioning of the fire house in the late 1960s, the building was sold by the city at an auction and converted into a photo studio and residence. After subsequently being used as offices, the property was purchased in 1993 by the Self-Realization Fellowship to serve as the New York City Center of the religious organization.

Holographic Studios, located in the borough of Manhattan in New York City, is the world's oldest gallery of holography. It was founded in 1979 by Jason Sapan, one of the pioneers of holography. The storefront level gallery features the world's largest collection of motion image integral holograms. On display in the gallery are a variety of different types of holographic images, including a collection of celebrity hologram portraits. There are also cylindrical 360° floating images, multiple image holograms that change as you walk by, and computer generated holograms as well as a selection of novelty hologram items and stickers. Directly below the gallery is the laser laboratory where holograms are created. Holographic Studios creates custom holograms, holographic portraits, offers classes, and operates tours.

Kips Bay Court is a housing complex located on the east side of Second Avenue between East 26th and 29th streets in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. Originally called Henry Phipps Plaza West, the eight-building complex contains a total of 894 apartments and was one of four housing developments sponsored by Phipps Houses in the Bellevue South Urban Renewal Project. Formerly a Mitchell–Lama Housing Program-funded rental project, Phipps Plaza West exited the Mitchell-Lama program in 2003 and was renamed Kips Bay Court. The complex was purchased by the Blackstone Group in 2016.

Vincent F. Albano Jr. Playground is a 0.35-acre (0.14 ha) public park in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Located at the northwest corner of Second Avenue and East 29th Street, the property was originally acquired by the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority in 1965 as right-of-way to construct the proposed Mid-Manhattan Expressway. The land was leased to the city for use as an interim park, which opened in 1967. Although the proposed highway project was officially cancelled in 1971, the land used by the playground is still owned by MTA Bridges and Tunnels.

203 East 29th Street is a historic house and carriage house located between Second and Third Avenues in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, one of a small number of wooden houses that remain on Manhattan Island. The year the house was built is uncertain, having been variously dated from as early as around 1790 to as late as 1870.The house, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 8, 1982, is privately owned and not open to the public. The architect was James Cali, and the restoration architect was John Sanguilano.

Kips Bay, or Kip's Bay, is a neighborhood on the east side of the New York City borough of Manhattan. It is roughly bounded by East 34th Street to the north, the East River to the east, East 27th and/or 23rd Streets to the south, and Third Avenue to the west.Kips Bay is part of Manhattan Community District 6, and its primary ZIP Codes are 10010 and 10016. It is patrolled by the 13th and 17th Precincts of the New York City Police Department.

The 28th Street station was a local station on the demolished IRT Third Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It had three tracks and two side platforms. The express track was built as part of the Dual Contracts and bypassed the station. This station closed on May 12, 1955, with the ending of all service on the Third Avenue El south of 149th Street.

Bellevue South Park is a 1.59-acre (0.64 ha) public park in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Located on the west side of Mount Carmel Place between East 26th and 28th streets, the park was originally planned as part of the Bellevue South Urban Renewal Area approved by New York City in 1964. The park did not open until 1979 due to a lack of municipal funding during the city's fiscal crisis and local community groups were originally responsible for the park's upkeep before maintenance was transferred over to the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation in 1986.

223 East 25th Street is a residential building located between Second and Third avenues in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. Designed by the architecture firm of Napoleon LeBrun & Sons, the building was completed in 1883 as a fire house for Engine Company 16 of the New York City Fire Department. The fire house was decommissioned in the late 1960s and the building was later sold by the city at an auction to the Ninth Church of Christ, Scientist. After being used as a church, the property was purchased by a developer in 2018 and converted into a multi-family residential building, obtaining Passive House certification.

CBS 30th Street Studio, also known as Columbia 30th Street Studio, and nicknamed "The Church", was an American recording studio operated by Columbia Records from 1948 to 1981 located at 207 East 30th Street, between Second and Third Avenues in Manhattan, New York City. Actually containing two Columbia sound rooms — “Studio C” and “Studio D” — the facility was considered by some in the music industry to offer the best-sounding recording venue of its time, while others considered it to have been the greatest recording studio in history.Numerous recordings were made there in all genres, including Ray Conniff's 'S Wonderful (1956), Miles Davis' Kind of Blue (1959) and In A Silent Way (1969), Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story (Original Broadway Cast recording, 1957), Percy Faith's Theme from A Summer Place (1959), Chicago's Chicago Transit Authority (1969), Chicago (1970), and Chicago III (1971), Pink Floyd's The Wall (1979), as well as a recording about the city itself, Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York".

The Church of Our Lady of the Scapular–St. Stephen is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 149 East 28th Street between Third and Lexington Avenues in the Rose Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It was established in the 1980s when the parish of the Church of Our Lady of the Scapular of Mount Carmel was merged into the parish of the Church of St. Stephen the Martyr. In January 2007, it was announced by the Archdiocese of New York that the Church of the Sacred Hearts of Mary and Jesus, located at 307 East 33rd Street, was to be merged into Our Lady of the Scapular–St. Stephen, then, in November 2014, the Archdiocese announced that the Church of Our Lady of the Scapular–St. Stephen was one of 31 neighborhood parishes which would be merged into other parishes. Our Lady of the Scapular–St. Stephen was to be merged into the Church of Our Saviour at 59 Park Avenue.
