Ocean Township is a township situated on the Jersey Shore in east central Monmouth County, within the U.S. state of New Jersey. The township is a bedroom suburb of New York City. Ocean Township has no central downtown and consists of three main unincorporated communities: Oakhurst, Wanamassa, and Wayside. The township is divided into two ZIP codes, 07755 (Oakhurst) and 07712 (Wanamassa and Wayside). Small portions have Allenhurst (07711), Deal (07723) and Long Branch (07740) ZIP codes.As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 27,672, its highest decennial count ever and an increase of 381 (+1.4%) from the 27,291 recorded at the 2010 census, which in turn had reflected an increase of 332 (+1.2%) from the 26,959 counted at the 2000 census.

Oakhurst is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) within Ocean Township, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 3,995.

Ocean Township High School (OTHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States, operating as the lone secondary school in the Ocean Township School District. OTHS serves residents of all neighborhoods within Ocean Township, including Oakhurst, Wanamassa, Wayside and West Allenhurst.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,028 students and 105.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.7:1. There were 215 students (20.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 38 (3.7% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.As of the 2013–14 school year there were 18 Advanced Placement (AP) courses offered. In conjunction with Monmouth University, Ocean Township High School offers a dual credit program called MODEL to AP students. The school's average graduation rate for the past two years is 99% and 97% of students go on to post secondary education. The school's Family and Consumer Science kitchens, for culinary instruction, were remodeled in 2005. Over 93% of Ocean's teachers are at or above intermediate skill levels in the use of technology.

Lincoln Township was a short-lived township that existed in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States, from 1867 until 1868. The Township of Lincoln was formally incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 6, 1867, from the western portions of Ocean Township.By another act of the Legislature, effective on May 1, 1868, the township was reannexed to Ocean. Lincoln Township was dissolved after slightly over one year of existence.

The Ocean Township School District (formally known as the Township of Ocean School District) is a comprehensive community public school district serving students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Ocean Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising five schools, had an enrollment of 3,458 students and 356.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.7:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

Wanamassa is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) within Ocean Township, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 4,532. The community was named for Wanamassa, a Native American leader of the 17th century.

Hillel Yeshiva is a private Modern Orthodox Jewish day school located in Ocean Township, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It provides an integrated pre-school through twelfth grade program that facilitates the study of both Judaic and secular studies. As of the 2017–18 school year, the school had an enrollment of 621 students (plus 98 in PreK) and 99.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 6.2:1. Kane Brewing is a craft brewery in Ocean Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey. It was started in 2011. It is New Jersey's third-largest craft brewery, after Flying Fish Brewery and River Horse Brewery.

The Deal School District is a community public school district that serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade from Deal, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The school was established in September 1953.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprised of one school, had an enrollment of 169 students and 17.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.9:1. In the 2016–17 school year, Deal had the 35th-smallest enrollment of any school district in the state, with 165 students.As a participant in the Interdistrict Public School Choice Program, the majority of the district's students live outside of Deal, with 37 slots allocated for choice students in the 2014-15 school year, 20 of which were for Kindergarten students. As of the 2002-03 school year, nearly 75% of students at Deal School attended from outside the district on a tuition basis, paying $4,300 per student, per year, with students coming from the neighboring communities of Loch Arbour, Asbury Park, Ocean Township, Red Bank and Belmar. The relationship with Shore Regional succeeds a previous agreement under which students from deal attended Asbury Park High School in neighboring Asbury Park as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Asbury Park Public Schools.

West Allenhurst is an unincorporated community located within Ocean Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP code 07711. As of the 2000 United States Census, the population for ZIP Code Tabulation Area 07711 was 1,934. West Allenhurst is bordered by Allenhurst to the east, Deal to the northeast, and Interlaken to the south. Major arterial roads in the community are the east-west Corlies Avenue (which leads directly to NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line Allenhurst station) and the north-south Monmouth Road (County Route 15).

Interlaken is a borough situated in the Jersey Shore region, within Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 828, an increase of 8 (+1.0%) from the 2010 census count of 820, which in turn had reflected a decline of 80 (−8.9%) from the 900 counted in the 2000 census.Interlaken was authorized for prospective incorporation as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 11, 1922, from portions of Ocean Township, subject to approval by a majority of voters in the affected area. Voters approved the incorporation of Interlaken in a referendum held on May 3, 1922.Interlaken is a dry town where alcohol is not permitted to be sold by law.

Seaview Square Mall was a shopping mall located in Ocean Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. It has been repurposed as a power center and was renamed Seaview Square Shopping Center in 2012. The 856,000-square-foot (79,500 m2) mall, located at the intersection of Route 35 and Route 66, was originally constructed in 1977 as an indoor mall. It faced stiff competition from the more upscale Monmouth Mall, located five miles (8 km) further north on Route 35 in Eatontown. One of its four anchors never opened, and several smaller stores, and Stern's and Steinbach, two of its anchors, were victims of the then-indoor mall's then-state of decline. The mall was later redeveloped into a shopping center with Target, Costco, Burlington, Home Sense, Siera Trading, Marshalls, Home Goods, Petsmart, Starbucks, and others.
