West Allenhurst is an unincorporated community located within Ocean Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP code 07711. As of the 2000 United States Census, the population for ZIP Code Tabulation Area 07711 was 1,934. West Allenhurst is bordered by Allenhurst to the east, Deal to the northeast, and Interlaken to the south. Major arterial roads in the community are the east-west Corlies Avenue (which leads directly to NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line Allenhurst station) and the north-south Monmouth Road (County Route 15).

Asbury Park High School is a comprehensive, four-year community public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades. It is in a landmark building in Asbury Park, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that was constructed during the New Deal as a model high school campus. It is part of the Asbury Park Public Schools, an Abbott District serving children in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The current school building opened to students in September 1926.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 630 students and 57.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1. There were 297 students (47.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and none eligible for reduced-cost lunch.As part of a reconfiguration of district schools announced in July 2019, students in grades 7 and 8 started attending classes in the high school starting in September 2020.Students from Deal attend the high school as part of a sending/receiving relationship. Georgies, also spelled Georgie's, is a gay dive bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Opened in 1999, it is known colloquially as "the gay Cheers". In addition to static entertainment such as pool and sports match broadcasts, Georgies features live programs most nights; these include go-go dancing, karaoke and drag shows. The bar also hosts a variety of fundraisers to benefit the local community. Georgies closed for several months in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it reopened for outdoor service in June and for limited indoor service in September of the same year. Critics note Georgies for its relaxed, non-judgmental atmosphere and its tight-knit community of regulars.

Allenhurst is an active commuter railroad station in Allenhurst, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Served by New Jersey Transit's North Jersey Coast Line, Allenhurst station operates on the diesel-only segment between Bay Head and Long Branch stations. However, trains also operate to both New York Penn Station and Hoboken Terminal. The next station to the north is Elberon in Long Branch while the next station to the south is Asbury Park. Allenhurst station consists of two low-level side platforms that are not handicapped accessible.

The Saint is a music venue located in Asbury Park, New Jersey, United States. It is reminiscent of places like The Cellar Door in Washington, DC, CBGB, CB's 313 Gallery, and The Living Room in New York City, and features live, original music. The Saint was founded by Adam Jon Weisberg along with business partner Scott Stamper, and opened its doors on November 18, 1994. Stamper bought out Weisberg in 2013 and became the sole owner. He is also a co-founder (along with Weisberg and Gordon Brown) of the Wave Gathering Music Festival.

The school was established in September 1953.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprised of one school, had an enrollment of 169 students and 17.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.9:1. In the 2016–17 school year, Deal had the 35th-smallest enrollment of any school district in the state, with 165 students.As a participant in the Interdistrict Public School Choice Program, the majority of the district's students live outside of Deal, with 37 slots allocated for choice students in the 2014-15 school year, 20 of which were for Kindergarten students. As of the 2002-03 school year, nearly 75% of students at Deal School attended from outside the district on a tuition basis, paying $4,300 per student, per year, with students coming from the neighboring communities of Loch Arbour, Asbury Park, Ocean Township, Red Bank and Belmar. By the 2013-14 school year, nearly 90% of the district's enrollment was from choice students, for whom the state paid the district $12,500 in supplemental aid per student.For ninth through twelfth grades, students attend Shore Regional High School, as part of a sending/receiving relationship. As of the 2018–19 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 649 students and 57.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.3:1. The relationship with Shore Regional succeeds a previous agreement under which students from deal attended Asbury Park High School in neighboring Asbury Park as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Asbury Park Public Schools.
