West Anaheim is a district in Anaheim, California which extends from Euclid Street on the East to the city limits at Cypress on the West. West Anaheim is where most of the residential development occurred during the 1950s and the 1960s, after Disneyland opened in 1955.

The Doll Hut is a music venue on Adams Street in Anaheim, California. Operating since 1989, the venue is known as a mainstay for the Orange County punk rock scene, with several local acts such as The Offspring, Adolescents, and The Ziggens playing shows there prior to finding mainstream success. With a maximum capacity of 89 people, the Doll Hut is known for its small size which creates an intimate atmosphere during shows, with "pushing and shoving and vocalists screaming lyrics only inches from patrons’ faces".

Bethesda University is a private Christian university in Anaheim, California. It was founded in 1976 by David Yonggi Cho. The university is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education and the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools and it is approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education of the State of California.

Anaheim Plaza, originally Broadway Orange County Center, then Anaheim Center, in Anaheim, California, was the first shopping mall in Orange County. It was a regional mall from 1955 to 1993 and is now a power center anchored by big-box stores. The Broadway was the original anchor department store opening October 14, 1955, with the mall shops opening gradually in the following weeks and months. Both The Broadway and the center as a whole were designed by renowned Los Angeles architect Welton Becket. The store cost $8.5 million to build, was 208,000 square feet (19,300 m2) in size, employed around 1,000 people and had parking for 5,000 cars. Brown McPherson was the first store managerIn February 1963, a J.W. Robinson's was added as the mall's second anchor store. In 1974, the center's owner, Prudential Life Insurance Co., completed a $4 million renovation, including enclosing the center and renaming it Anaheim Plaza. In July 1977, a Mervyn's was added as the mall's third anchor store. By the 1980s, better-off patrons had moved out of the surrounding area for Anaheim Hills and southern Orange County and the area were becoming more working-class and Hispanic. In September 1987, business at Anaheim Plaza started to decline which was caused by the grand opening of MainPlace Mall in nearby Santa Ana, California. Robinson's opened a store at MainPlace Mall also in September 1987 and closed its Anaheim Plaza store in January 1988. By 1992, the mall was only 35% occupied. In January 1993, the mall's original anchor store The Broadway closed for good and in August of that same year, the mall was bulldozed except for the Mervyn's store.A new strip mall, all new except for the Mervyn's, was opened in November 1994, 547,000 square feet (50,800 m2) in size and costing $30 million. Mervyn's closed in late 2008 due to the chain being liquidated and has been replaced by Forever 21 (now closed). Currently (as of 2022), anchor stores include El Super (formerly OSH and Gigante), Smart & Final (formerly OfficeMax), Petco, Ross, TJ Maxx (formerly CompUSA), and Walmart (which opened in January 1995).

The Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) is a public school district serving portions of the Orange County cities of Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, La Palma, and Stanton. It oversees eight junior high schools (7-8), eight high schools (9-12), and one non-magnet, secondary selective school, Oxford Academy (7-12). Its superintendent, Dr. Elizabeth Novack, was fired in December 2013 without public explanation. The Board of Trustees appointed Michael Matsuda, the district's former BTSA Coordinator who also currently serves as Secretary on the North Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees.The school district has gained brief national notoriety twice: once in 1968 when members of the organization Mothers Organized for Moral Stability, inspired by the information in the pamphlet "Is the School House the Proper Place to Teach Raw Sex?", flooded a school board meeting and demanded that a course in sex education at the school be suspended, and again in 1978 when it banned the novels Silas Marner and Gone with the Wind from the school curriculum. The books and the course have long since been reinstated.

The Woelke-Stoffel House is a two-story Queen Anne style home built in 1896, in Anaheim, Orange County, in Southern California. It was constructed by architects George Franklin Barber and Armstrong Davis Porter. The home is now owned by the City of Anaheim and part of Founders Park, in which sits a collection of historical buildings and acts as a museum. Free public tours are available on the 3rd Saturday of every month. Its location with close proximity to the Disneyland Resort makes it a popular tourist destination in the area. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 8, 2013. The house is in the Anaheim Founders' Park. Founders' Park also has the Pioneer House of the Mother Colony house built by the city's founder George Hanson . At the park is also a city landmark 1876 Moreton Bay Fig tree, a large Carriage House in Queen Anne style, vegetable garden, small orange grove, a Pump House and windmill.

Anaheim High School is a public, four-year high school in the city of Anaheim, California, United States and serves students living in the Colony District of Anaheim. Anaheim High School was first established in 1898, which makes it the oldest of nine comprehensive high schools in the Anaheim Union High School District. It is the third oldest high school in Orange County, behind Santa Ana High School (1889) and Fullerton Union High School (1893).

Anaheim Regional Medical Center, formerly known as Anaheim Memorial Medical Center, is a 228-bed, acute care hospital in North Anaheim, California. It opened in 1958 and serves the greater North Anaheim, South Fullerton, La Habra and La Mirada areas. It was named one of the top 100 hospitals in the country for quality in the areas of heart attack care, heart failure care and pneumonia care. As of July 1, 2009, this medical center is owned by AHMC, which also owns and operates Garfield Medical Center, Whittier Hospital and San Gabriel Valley Medical Center.

Servite High School is a private, Catholic, all-boys college preparatory high school operated by the Order of Servants of Mary in Anaheim, California. It was founded in 1958. As of 2017 it had about 9000 alumni. Its mascot is the Friar and its colors are black and white, trimmed with gold. It is located within the Diocese of Orange; however, it is not a diocesan school, but is run privately by the Servite Order itself.

St. Catherine’s Academy is a Catholic internship military school located in Anaheim, California. It was founded in 1889 by The Dominican Sisters of Mission San José. The school offers an academic program for boys in kindergarten through eighth grade, as well as military structure and leadership training. The school is open to both resident and day students.

Little Arabia is an ethnic enclave in western Anaheim, California, the center for Orange County's Arab Americans, who number more than 24,000 (As of 2000). It has been referred to as "Little Gaza" which was a riff on the nearby Garza Island neighborhoods. Little Arabia grew significantly in the 1990s with the arrival of immigrants from the Middle East, and is the home to thousands of Arab Americans predominantly hailing from Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen.The district is centered on Brookhurst Street in Anaheim, near the Santa Ana Freeway (I-5) between La Palma Avenue and Katella Avenue. Businesses include halal butcher shops, beauty salons, jewelry stores, Arabic and Islamic clothings, travel agencies, bakeries, Arab and Armenian restaurants, and hookah cafes. There are also numerous mosques and a few churches in the enclave.

Loara High School is a public four year American high school in the Anaheim Union High School District, located in the Southwest Anaheim region of Anaheim, California. Loara is a Title I school that serves many students from low-income families, and the campus consists of 1,783 students and 75 certificated staff. Loara is a California Distinguished School which prepares students to "innovate in service of their community". The school was one of the premier institutions becoming an International School under the International Baccalaureate in Orange County in 1999, however, the program was discontinued in 2009 due to the lack of funding.
