The statue of Sir Colin Campbell, Lord Clyde is a Grade II listed statue on Waterloo Place in London. It was designed by Carlo Marochetti and erected in 1867. Colin Campbell was a British Army Officer who served during the Peninsular War, Crimean War and in India. His most significant act was lifting the Siege of Lucknow during the Indian Mutiny. Campbell stands in bronze on a granite plinth, wearing the uniform he would have been during the mutiny. Below is a depiction of Britannia sitting upon a Lion holding an olive branch. The original site of the statue was a different location on Horse Guards Parade but was moved following resistance, with the Duke of Wellington mediating the situation.

The equestrian statue of Edward VII is a Grade II listed statue that sits just north of the Duke of York Column on Waterloo Place. The street has a number of memorials and monuments, and a statue of Robert Napier had previously stood on the site since 1891. The statue was commissioned in 1912 but delayed by the First World War to be eventually completed in 1921 by Australian sculptor Bertram Mackennal. It is in bronze upon a Portland stone pedestal, depicting Edward VII wearing Field Marshal's uniform. This choice was perhaps made to reflect Britain's participation and victory in the war despite it being after Edward VII's death. Originally there had been plans for a larger and more elaborate memorial, and arguments over where to site it. Green Park and St James Park were raised as possible candidate but both met with significant resistance. Eventually, on the advice of George V such plans would be replaced by the equestrian statue that ended up put up in Waterloo Place.

Waterloo Place is a short but broad street in the St James's area of the City of Westminster, London. It forms a plaza-like space and is a southern extension of Lower Regent Street. Towards the northern end it is crossed by Pall Mall and at the southern end, by Carlton House Terrace, where it ends at the Duke of York Steps which lead down to The Mall. Located on the Place are several 19th and 20th century monuments to royalty, explorers and military people.

The Institute of Directors (IoD) is a British professional organisation for company directors, senior business leaders and entrepreneurs. It is the UK's longest running organisation for professional leaders, having been founded in 1903 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1906. The Royal Charter charged the IoD with promoting free enterprise, lobbying government and setting standards for corporate governance. The IoD is located in a Grade I listed building at 116 Pall Mall in London, formerly the United Service Club. Members of the IoD also gain access to co-working spaces around the UK, bespoke market intelligence, tailored tax and legal support, exclusive member-only events along with discounts on IoD professional development courses and events. From a high of 55,000 members in 2005, the IoD currently has just over 20,000 full members, with membership stabilising year on year. Members of the IoD come from companies of all sizes and from all industries. Around 70% are self-employed or work for small and medium-sized enterprises, while 78% of FTSE 100 companies have an IoD member on their board or in a senior management position.

The statue of Lord Lawrence is a Grade II listed statue on the southeastern corner of Waterloo Place and Carlton House Terrace. It was erected in 1882. John Lawrence, 1st Baron Lawrence, spent much of his life working for the Indian Civil Service, entering it in 1829. He would go on to be Viceroy of India from 1864 to 1869 after playing a significant role in the suppression of the Indian Mutiny. Despite this Lawrence is known to have approached local issues diplomatically, with a paternalistic approach to administration. The statue was designed by Joseph Edgar Boehm. Originally Lawrence was to hold a sword in one hand and pen in another, a reference to a story where Lawrence had given India a choice between the two in how it was to be governed. The design was deemed inappropriate and a new design was made, the original eventually ending up in the hands of Foyle and Londonderry College which Lawrence had attended.

The United Service Club was a London gentlemen's club founded in 1815 for the use of senior officers in the British Army and Royal Navy – those above the rank of Major or Commander – and the club was accordingly known to its members as "The Senior". The club closed in 1978. Because of its emphasis on senior officers, it was considered the most prestigious of London's military clubs – reflected partly in its entry fees, which were the highest of any London club in the 1880s, although there has been some speculation this was a device to limit the number of new members.

The Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF) is a charitable organization in the United Kingdom whose stated aims are to challenge what it calls "extremely damaging and harmful policies" envisaged by governments to mitigate anthropogenic global warming. The GWPF, and some of its prominent members individually, have been characterized as practising and promoting climate change denial.In 2014, when the Charity Commission ruled that the GWPF had breached rules on impartiality, a non-charitable organisation called the "Global Warming Policy Forum" was created to do lobbying that a charity could not. The GWPF website carries an array of articles sceptical of the scientific consensus of anthropogenic global warming and its impacts.

The statue of Sir Keith Park is a statue by the Athenaeum Club on Waterloo Place. A three-year campaign to commemorate Keith Park originally aimed at erecting a statue of Park in Trafalgar Square resulted in the creation of a memorial. The statue was designed by Les Johnson and unveiled in 2010 on the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. It depicts Park, a member of the RAF who defended England in the battle, wearing a life jacket and flying gloves. With Park himself a New Zealander, the statue stands not far from New Zealand House. A temporary version of the statue occupied the Fourth plinth in 2009.

The statue of Sir John Franklin is a Grade II listed statue by the Athenaeum Club on Waterloo Place. John Franklin was a British Naval Officer and Arctic expleror. He fought in the battles of Copenhagen and Trafalgar. The monument names all the members of the failed Franklin's lost expedition, none of which would return. The expedition would be termed as Franklin's company as those who "forged the last link with their lives" of the Northwest Passage. Franklin and his expedition would be popular in folklore, being the inspiration for a number of poems. The statue would often serve as a site where a crowd would gather for a public telling of the story of Franklin's expedition. The statue was designed by Matthew Noble and completed in 1866. Franklin is depicted in naval uniform. As much of the detail surrounding Franklin's expedition is unknown, it is a belief held by some that Franklin did indeed discover the Northwest Passage, a statement which is inscribed on the plinth.

The Duke of York Column is a monument in London, England, to Prince Frederick, Duke of York, the second eldest son of King George III. The designer was Benjamin Dean Wyatt. It is sited where Regent Street meets The Mall, a purposefully wide endpoint of Regent Street known as Waterloo Place and Gardens, in between the two terraces of Carlton House Terrace and their tree-lined squares. The three very wide flights of steps down to The Mall adjoining are known as the Duke of York Steps. The column was completed in December 1832 and the statue of the Duke of York, by Sir Richard Westmacott, was raised on 10 April 1834.

The statue of Sir John Fox Burgoyne is a Grade II listed statue on the western flank of Waterloo Place. The street has a number of memorials and monuments. John Fox Burgoyne was a British Army Officer who served in the Peninsular and Crimean War, later becoming a Field Marshal in 1869. The statue is by Joseph Edgar Boehm and was unveiled in 1877. It bears the inscription, a quote from Shakespeare's Coriolanus "How youngly he began to serve his country, how long continued", reflecting Burgoyne's extensive career in the army, serving just shy of seven decades.

The statue of Sidney Herbert, 1st Baron Herbert of Lea is an outdoor sculpture in London, United Kingdom. Created by J. H. Foley, it was erected by public subscription in 1867 and was originally placed in the courtyard of Cumberland House, Pall Mall (which at the time was the headquarters of the War Office). It moved with the War Office to Whitehall in 1906, where it was placed (out of public sight) in the courtyard of the new War Office building; but eight years later it was moved again to Waterloo Place to stand alongside the Crimean War Memorial, where it is paired with a statue of Herbert's friend and fellow reformer Florence Nightingale.
