Big Creative Academy is a free school sixth form located in the Walthamstow area of the London Borough of Waltham Forest, England.Big Creative Academy was established in 2014 and specialises in the creative industries. The academy is part of Big Creative Education which also provides creative-focused apprenticeships and training.Big Creative Academy offers vocational sixth form courses in the creative industries at levels 1 to 3. Areas of study include Creative Media Production, Dance, Drama, Events Management, Fashion Design, Marketing, Music Practice and Music Production.

Higham Lodge or Higham Hill Lodge was a building in Walthamstow built in the late 17th century. It was expanded by the William Dillwyn after he took over the building. Dillwyn married Susan Weston, who inherited nearby High Hill from her father Lewis Weston. The two estates were combined, and High Hill was demolished with Higham Lodge being retained as the family home. The house was built by Anthony Bacon and designed by William Newton in 1768. In 1793–4 John Harman commissioned Humphry Repton to improve the property. In 1902 the property was bought by Hugh Baird bought the building and built a factory in the grounds. His company Baird & Tatlock (London), occupied the building making scientific apparatus, laboratory benches, and fume cupboards. The site is currently occupied by a petrol station.

Blackhorse Road is a joint London Overground and London Underground station, located at the junction of Blackhorse Road/Blackhorse Lane with Forest Road in the Walthamstow neighbourhood of the London Borough of Waltham Forest, London, England. It is on the Victoria line of the London Underground and is the penultimate station on the eastern end of that line. Above ground, the station is on the Gospel Oak to Barking line of the London Overground, 7 miles 21 chains (11.7 km) from St Pancras (measured via Kentish Town and Mortimer Street Junction). It is in Travelcard Zone 3 and is the least-used station on the Victoria line, with 6.44 million passengers per year. It is the closest railway station to Walthamstow Wetlands. Ticket barriers control access to all platforms. Passengers using Oyster cards are required to tap on an interchange Oyster card reader when transferring between the two lines.

Willowfield School is a mixed gender secondary school in Walthamstow, East London with 840 students on roll. It admits 180 students to Year 7 each year. The current headteacher is Clive Rosewell, who succeeded John Hemingway in April 2016. The school moved to a purpose-built site in 2015.

Stonebridge Lock (No16) is a paired lock on the River Lee Navigation in the London Borough of Haringey, England and is located near Tottenham, London. Like other locks as far as Ponder's End Lock it is large enough to take barges of up to 130 tons. The primary lock has been upgraded to mechanical operation, but the secondary lock is operated manually.

Green Pond Road was a football stadium in Walthamstow, London and the home ground of Walthamstow Avenue until they merged with Leytonstone & Ilford to form Redbridge Forest, a precursor to Dagenham & Redbridge. The ground was often simply called The Green Pond or The Pond.

Walthamstow Wetlands is a 211 ha (520 acres; 2.11 km2) nature reserve in Walthamstow, east London, adjacent to the historic Essex-Middlesex border on the River Lea. It is focused on the Walthamstow Reservoirs, built by the East London Waterworks Company between 1853 and 1904 as part of the Lee Valley Reservoir Chain. The site is one of the largest urban wetland nature reserves in Europe and is particularly important for wildlife due to its position within the Lee Valley. It serves as a byway for migrating, wintering and breeding birds. Visitors can freely access the site's natural, industrial and social heritage in one of the capital's most densely populated urban areas.The reservoirs, under the ownership of Thames Water, also form part of a larger Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation, noted for the mixture of aquatic and terrestrial habitats on site, and for their London-wide importance (especially for birds).

The Tottenham Marshes are located at Tottenham in the London Borough of Haringey. The marshes cover over 100 acres (0.40 km2) and became part of the Lee Valley Park in 1972. The marsh is made up of three main areas: Clendish Marsh, Wild Marsh West and Wild Marsh East. The latter two are separated by the River Lea.

The Lee Valley Reservoir Chain is located in the Lee Valley, and comprises 13 reservoirs that supply drinking water to London.The Reservoir Chain is a major geographic constraint; together with the Thames it is one of the two significant topographic features that divide the capital and define the communities on either side. The Lower Lea Valley, downstream of the reservoirs, is more integrated, with better east–west transport connectivity.
