Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve (also spelt "Sandvlei") is a 300-hectare (740-acre) nature reserve and recreational area located in Muizenberg near Cape Town, South Africa.

Steenberg railway station is a Metrorail station on the Southern Line in Steenberg, a suburb of Cape Town. It is located on Henley Road, which is just off Military Road. The station is located on the edge of Steenberg, towards Kirstenhof and is alongside the Keyser River, which flows into Zandvlei. Steenberg has a small taxi rank which only serves Grassy Park and Steenberg. Busses to Cape Town are only available at early times of the morning. The station has an island platform, connected by a pedestrian bridge over the tracks. In normal operation, Platform 1 (the western platform) is used for trains travelling towards Cape Town, while Platform 2 (the eastern platform) is used for trains travelling towards Simon's Town.

Muizenberg ( MEW-zən-burg, Dutch for "mice mountain") is a beach-side town in the Western Cape, South Africa. It is situated where the shore of the Cape Peninsula curves round to the east on the False Bay coast. It is considered to be the main surfing spot in Cape Town and is currently home to a surfing community, centered on the popular 'Surfer's Corner'.

Lakeside is a residential suburb of Cape Town, South Africa, located in the city's Southern Suburbs. It is situated about 22 kilometres south of the Cape Town CBD. Steenberg is a small community in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa. It has a population of slightly more than 4,000 and mainly includes those belonging to the Cape Coloured community. The main center of the suburb is Military Road, which runs from west connecting Tokai and Kirstenhof at the M4 Main Road and then east into the M5 which provides access to Muizenberg and various other northern suburbs including Bellville and Century City. Military Road has many small businesses lining its south side but also one of South Africa's largest retailers, Shoprite, which has a branch located close to the M5.

Lavender Hill is a suburb on the Cape Flats in Cape Town, South Africa, known for its challenging socio-economic conditions and high levels of violence. It's a community with a history marked by apartheid-era forced removals and persistent gang activity. Despite these difficulties, Lavender Hill is also home to initiatives focused on community development, arts and culture, and providing safe spaces for young people. Created in the early 1970s, it was designed as a dumping ground for "coloured" people removed from areas designated as "white" under the Group Areas Act, including District Six. This history of displacement and social challenges continues to shape the community today.

Lavender Hill High School is a public secondary school located in Lavender Hill in the Cape Flats district of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.The school is in one of the more economically-deprived areas of the Western Cape. The school features a library, gym, three computer rooms, kitchen, two sports fields and a hall. It employees 34 teachers along with 15 support staff in various roles such as administration and cleaning & maintenance. The official languages of the school are Afrikaans and English. Students are placed in either Afrikaans or English classes depending on their native tongue. The school also offers IsiXhosa as an additional language. In 2013 Sir Richard Branson visited the school to launch Virgin Active South Africa's FUTURE CREW programme, which encourages South African students to be more active. The company also assisted in funding the construction of a gym at the school

Retreat railway station is a Metrorail station in Retreat, a suburb of Cape Town. It is a stop on the Southern Line, and the terminus of the Cape Flats Line. The station is located next to a terminus of Golden Arrow Bus Services and a large minibus taxi rank, forming a major transport interchange for the South Peninsula region. The station building is on the western side of the line, attached to Platform 1. Platforms 2 and 3 are on an island. The platforms are connected by two pedestrian bridges. In normal operation, Platform 1 is used for northbound trains (travelling towards Cape Town), and Platform 2 is used for southbound trains.
