The Joseph R. Biden, Jr., Railroad Station, also known as Wilmington station, is a passenger rail station in Wilmington, Delaware. One of Amtrak's busiest stops, it serves nine Amtrak train routes and is part of the Northeast Corridor. It also serves SEPTA Regional Rail commuter trains on the Wilmington/Newark Line as well as DART First State local buses and Greyhound Lines intercity buses. Built in 1907 as Pennsylvania Station, the station was renamed in 2011 for then-Vice President (now President) Joe Biden, an advocate for passenger rail who routinely took the train from Wilmington to Washington, D.C. during his time as a Senator from 1973 to 2009. In 1987, Biden formally announced his ultimately unsuccessful bid for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination at this station. Located on Front Street between French and Walnut Streets in downtown Wilmington, the station has one inside level with stores, a cafe/newsstand, Amtrak and SEPTA ticket offices, a car rental office, and restrooms. Passengers board their trains on the second-story train platforms.

Water Street Station is a former station of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in Wilmington, Delaware, designed by Frank Furness. The station served only trains terminating in Wilmington; through trains used a separate station at Delaware Avenue to the northwest.

The Brandywine Building is a 19-story, 260 foot high rise building in downtown Wilmington, Delaware. It contains primarily office and commercial space. The building was originally built in 1970 as an expansion for DuPont's Headquarters, but is now mostly used by Citi.

The River Tower at Christina Landing is a high rise located in Wilmington, Delaware. It is the tallest residential building in both the city of Wilmington and the state of Delaware, rising 25 stories with a 13th floor, and 295 ft (90m.). The Building was constructed in 2005, and opened in 2007. The tower was designed by Stantec Architecture, Inc.This skyscraper's main purpose is as a residential building. It contains a pool, Jacuzzi, and a sitting area on the roof. There is also space reserved for parties. The skyscraper also has eight stories of parking garage for residents who live there.

Lower Market Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It encompasses 132 contributing buildings the central business district of Wilmington. It includes attached commercial and commercial/residential structures dating from the mid-18th to the early-20th century. The buildings reflect a variety of popular architectural styles including Classical Revival, Greek Revival, Federal, and Art Deco. Notable buildings include the Farmers Bank (1912), Jake's Market (c. 1870), Wilmington and Brandywine Bank, Joshua Conner and Sons, J.T. Montgomery Jewelry Store, and Wilmington Publishing Company Building.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, with a boundary increase in 1985.

Sunday Breakfast Mission, in Wilmington, Delaware, was established in 1893 to provide homeless men with a meal and a place to worship on Sunday. Shortly after, homeless men were able to seek overnight shelter there. Sunday Breakfast Mission is part of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions. The vision has grown through the years to include a residential discipleship program for men who are seeking healing from previous problems in their life, a community outreach program that provides hundreds of food boxes, household goods and clothing to those who need a hand, and special events several times each year. These events include but are not limited to a backpack give away in August where 1700 children receive backpacks and school supplies, a Thanksgiving basket project where 800 families receive food for Thanksgiving, and the Great Thanksgiving Banquet on Thanksgiving Day when the mission opens its doors for hundreds to come share this meal.

The Harlan and Hollingsworth Office Building is a historic office building located in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It was completed in 1912, and stands on the corner of West St. and the Wilmington Rail Viaduct. It is a three-story, detached, rectangular brick-faced building with two small rear wings in the Colonial Revival style. It features two large, decorated copper-faced bay windows projecting from each face of the right corner of the second story.By 1910, existing office facilities at the Harlan Plant of Bethlehem Steel (formerly Harlan and Hollingsworth) had become inadequate, and work started on a new office building. It survived the closing of the Harlan Plant in 1944, and once housed laboratories for Gates Engineering Company. The building was purchased by 100 South West Street Associates in 1991 and restored.It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Philips-Thompson Buildings was a set of two historic commercial buildings located at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. They were built about 1884, and were two three-story, red brick buildings. They had a row of square decorative terra cotta tiles divides the second and third stories. They featured a corbelled brick cornice and sunburst decorations capping the central bays. The buildings housed a wholesale farm supply company, wholesale grocers and produce shops. The buildings have been demolished. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Old Asbury Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church located at Walnut and 3rd Streets in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It was the first Methodist church in Wilmington. The church is a two-story, three bay, "L"-shaped stuccoed stone structure in a vernacular Italianate style. The original section was built in 1789, and subsequently enlarged in 1820, 1825, 1838, and 1845. The chapel wing to the north was added in 1875.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Harlan & Hollingsworth was a Wilmington, Delaware, firm that constructed ships and railroad cars during the 19th century and into the 20th century.

Jacob Dingee House is a historic home located at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1771, and is an example of an 18th-century urban residence continually occupied by working families. It is a two-story, brick dwelling consisting of a 17 feet, 5 inches wide by 24 feet deep main block connected to a 13 feet, 8 inch wide, and 31 feet deep rear wing by a 10 feet wide, 6 feet long connector wing. It is adjacent to the Obidiah Dingee House. In 1976, it was moved from its original location at 105 E. 7th Street to Willingtown Square of the Delaware Historical Society. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

It was built about 1771, and is an example of an 18th-century urban residence continually occupied by working families. It is a two-story, brick dwelling consisting of a 19 feet, 6 inches wide by 24 feet deep main block with a rear wing. It is adjacent to the Jacob Dingee House. In 1976, it was moved from its original location at 107 E. 7th Street to Willingtown Square of the Delaware Historical Society. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.
