Midtown Hospital (Manhattan)

The 50th Street station was a local station on the demolished IRT Second Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It had three tracks and two side platforms. The next stop to the north was 57th Street. The next stop to the south was 42nd Street. The station closed on June 13, 1942.

303 East 51st Street is a skyscraper in the Turtle Bay neighborhood in Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States. The residential building is 360 ft (110 m) with 32 floors.The building was under construction when, on March 15, 2008, the luffing-jib tower crane used to construct the skyscraper snapped off and fell, killing seven people in what Mayor Michael Bloomberg called the worst construction accident in New York City's recent history.

Lutèce was a French restaurant in Manhattan that operated for more than 40 years before closing in early 2004. It once had a satellite restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip.It was famous for its Alsatian onion tart and a sauteed foie gras with dark chocolate sauce and bitter orange marmalade. In 1972, W magazine referred to it as one of "Les Six, the last bastions of grand luxe dining in New York." The other five were La Grenouille, La Caravelle, La Côte Basque, Lafayette, and Quo Vadis; of these, only La Grenouille remains open.

The Church of the Holy Family, also known as the United Nations Parish, is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Archdiocese of New York, located at 315 East 47th Street in Manhattan, New York City. Originally established in 1924 for Italian-speaking immigrants, the church has adapted to serve the Turtle Bay neighborhood as well as the community associated with the nearby United Nations. In 1965 it became the first parish church in the Western Hemisphere to be visited by a reigning pope.

Japan Society is a non-profit organization formed in 1907 to promote friendly relations between the United States and Japan. Its headquarters was designed by Junzo Yoshimura and opened in 1971 at 333 East 47th Street near the United Nations. With a focus on promoting "arts and culture, public policy, business, language, and education", the organization has regularly held events in its many facilities, including a library, art gallery, and theater, since its opening. After suspending all activities during World War II, Japan Society expanded under the leadership of John D. Rockefeller III.

The United Engineering Center was a building in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City that served as the headquarters of several national associations of professional engineers and included an auditorium, exhibition hall, and library. Located on the west side of United Nations Plaza between East 47th and 48th streets—across from the headquarters of the United Nations—the building opened in 1961 and superseded the Engineering Societies' Building, which had become too small for the engineering societies' needs. By the mid-1990s, the United Engineering Center had become inefficient at serving the needs of the organizations it housed; the building was sold and demolished in 1998 in order to make way for the Trump World Tower.

The mission serves as the principal institution responsible for articulating Kazakhstan's positions within the UN system, coordinating multilateral diplomacy, and overseeing the country's participation across the UN's programs, committees, and specialized agencies. Kazakhstan formally established its Permanent Mission on 5 June 1992, three months after becoming a UN member state on 2 March 1992. The mission is currently headed by Kairat Umarov since June 2024.

Trump World Tower is a residential condominium building in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Midtown Manhattan in New York City. The tower is located at 845 United Nations Plaza, on First Avenue between 47th and 48th Streets. It was developed by Donald Trump and was constructed between 1999 and 2001.

Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza is a 1.59-acre (0.64 ha) public park in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Manhattan, New York, United States. Located on the south side of East 47th Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue, the park was established during the late 1940s and early 1950s, when 47th Street was widened to create a landscaped approach to the headquarters of the United Nations. It was renamed after Dag Hammarskjöld, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, after his death in 1961. The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation announced plans in the early 1990s to expand the plaza, which was completed in 1999. The plaza is a frequent site of protests and demonstrations given its location near the United Nations headquarters.
