333 East 38th Street is a 12-story commercial building in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. Located on the west side of First Avenue between East 38th and 39th streets, the building was built in 1928 as a warehouse and distribution hub for the Eleto Company, which provided delivery services for merchandise sold by Lord & Taylor and James McCreery & Company. After the package deliveries for these department stores were contracted to United Parcel Service (UPS) in 1930, UPS became a major tenant in the building and the facility served as the company's corporate headquarters and main depot in the New York metropolitan area. UPS vacated the site in 1964 and since then the building has mostly been used as commercial and medical office space. It currently houses NYU Langone Health's Orthopedic Center and Outpatient Surgery Center.

Waterside Generating Station was a power station in Manhattan, New York City that opened in 1901 and was one of the first power plants in the United States that generated electricity using steam turbines. Built by the New York Edison Company, the facility was located in the Murray Hill neighborhood on the east side of First Avenue between East 38th and 40th streets alongside the East River. The Waterside station also later served as a cogeneration facility and generated steam for the New York City steam system. The power plant was decommissioned by Con Edison in 2005 and sold to private developers as part of the East River Repowering Project, which increased the capacity of the East River Generating Station at East 14th Street to replace the steam and electric output of the Waterside Generating Station. After demolition of the Waterside plant, the site underwent environmental remediation and was rezoned to allow for residential and commercial development. As of 2023, the property has remained vacant land.

325 East 38th Street is a seven-story commercial building located between First and Second avenues in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. The building originally opened in 1904 as public baths and was subsequently renovated and expanded, later housing other entities including a wet wash laundry, medical centers, and a nursing school. It currently serves as the permanent mission for Indonesia to the United Nations.

Kips Bay Brewing Company, also known as Kips Bay Brewing and Malting Co. and Patrick Skelly Brewery, was a brewery located in Manhattan, New York City that operated from 1894 to 1947. The former company's buildings have been repurposed into offices and are one of two groups of surviving brewery structures in Manhattan from the period when brewing was a major industry in the city.

Trygve Lie Plaza is a 0.10-acre (0.040 ha) public park in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Located on the west side of First Avenue between East 41st Street and East 42nd Street, the park was created in 1948 as part of the widening of First Avenue for the development of the United Nations. It was named after Trygve Lie in 1998.

The East Side Airline Terminal was one of three air terminals in Midtown Manhattan. Opening in 1953, and occupying the full block west of 1st Avenue between 37th Street and 38th Street, the East Side Airline Terminal served as a location where passengers could purchase tickets and check baggage before boarding buses that would transport them to JFK Airport, LaGuardia Airport, or Newark Airport.

Turtle Bay Music School was a community music school located on the East Side of Manhattan in New York City. Originally established in 1925 at the Grosvenor Neighborhood House on East 49th Street in Turtle Bay, the school later purchased a three-story building on East 52nd Street and operated at that location for over 80 years. In addition to providing musical instruction, Turtle Bay Music School also offered classes and workshops in expressive therapies involving art, dance, drama and music. The institution sold its property to a private developer in 2018 and moved to a newly renovated space on East 38th Street in Murray Hill, but closed less than two years after relocating due to financial difficulties.

Robert Moses Playground is a 1.3-acre (0.53 ha) playground and park in Manhattan, New York City. It is located in the Murray Hill neighborhood on First Avenue between 41st and 42nd streets, immediately south of the headquarters of the United Nations. The park is named for New York's "master builder" Robert Moses, then the head of the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority, which constructed the playground as part of the construction of the Queens–Midtown Tunnel.

The Church of the Covenant, often referred to as "the church of the United Nations" due to its proximity to the UN Plaza, is an historic century-and-a-half church located on 42nd Street in New York City. The original Church of the Covenant was founded in 1860 by the Rev. Dr. George L. Prentiss. In 1870, the Church established a mission called Covenant Chapel, which grew and eventually become self-supporting and stronger than the founding Church. In 1893 the name "Church of the Covenant" was transferred to Covenant Chapel, while the remaining members of the original church group merged with the Brick Church (another historic New York church). In 1947, the Adams-Parkhurst Presbyterian Church merged into the Church of the Covenant.
