The canton of Nice-3 is an administrative division of the Alpes-Maritimes department, southeastern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Nice.It consists of the following communes: Le Broc Carros Gattières Nice (partly)

The Meeting International de Nice "Nikaïa is an annual one-day outdoor track and field meeting at the Stade Charles-Ehrmann in Nice, France. First held on 16 August 1976, it was held in June or July each year until 2001, when the meeting folded due to financial reasons. It was part of the IAAF Grand Prix circuit from 1998 to 2001. It was revived on 17 June 2023 as a Bronze-level World Athletics Continental Tour meeting.The meeting was host to a world record in 1988, when Soviet athlete Sergey Bubka set a men's pole vault world record of 6.06 m (19 ft 10+1⁄2 in). The final edition in 2001 saw a world record of 9:25.31 in the women's 3000 metres steeplechase by Poland's Justyna Bąk and a European record in the women's pole vault with Svetlana Feofanova's clearance of 4.62 m (15 ft 1+3⁄4 in).

Stade Charles-Ehrmann is a multi-use stadium in Nice, France. For sporting events it seats 8,000 spectators. It is sometimes used by the OGC Nice, for practice or friendly matches, and by their reserves team the Eaglets. For large concerts, it is used in conjunction with the indoor concert hall Palais Nikaïa, whose doors are opened and permit large crowds of up to 50,000 to view the stage inside the hall.

The 1952 Air France SNCASE Languedoc crash occurred on 3 March 1952 when a SNCASE SE.161/P7 Languedoc aircraft of Air France crashed on take-off from Nice Airport for Le Bourget Airport, Paris, killing all 38 people on board. The cause of the accident was that the aileron controls had jammed, which in itself was contributed to by a design fault. The accident was the third-deadliest in France at the time and is the deadliest involving the SNCASE Languedoc.

It is the third busiest airport in France and serves as a focus city for Air France and an operating base for easyJet. In 2023, it handled 14,189,965 passengers. The airport is positioned 7 km (4 mi) west of the city centre, and is the principal port of arrival for passengers to the Côte d'Azur. Due to its proximity to Monaco, it also serves as that city-state's airport, with helicopter service linking the principality and airport. Some airlines market Monaco as a destination via Nice Airport.
