The Elizabeth R. Hooker House is a historic house at 123 Edgehill Road in New Haven, Connecticut. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick English-style Arts and Crafts suburban villa designed by Delano and Aldrich and built in 1914 for Elizabeth R. Hooker (1874-1965). Hooker was a 20th-century progressive activist, scholar, and writer in areas such as women's rights, public health care, and historic preservation. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

The Imperial Granum-Joseph Parker Buildings, also known historically as the Del Monico Building, are a pair of conjoined historic commercial buildings at Elm and Orange Streets in downtown New Haven, Connecticut. Built in 1875 and 1877, the two buildings are among the finest examples of the architecture of that period in the city, with one sporting one of the city's only surviving cast iron facades. The buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Connecticut Financial Center is the tallest building in New Haven, Connecticut, and the sixth tallest building in the state. The 383 foot postmodern skyscraper was designed by the Toronto architectural firm Crang and Boake and completed in 1990. It is adjacent to New Haven City Hall facing the New Haven Green in Downtown New Haven. Among the current tenants of the building are United Illuminating, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and the Social Security Administration’s Office of Hearings and Appeals. The CFC stands on the former site of the Powell Building, which was New Haven's first skyscraper.

The Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records is located in New Haven, Connecticut and houses many of the City of New Haven's governmental functions, including finance, vital statistics, offices of the town clerk, and public hearing rooms where city policy is debated.

The former Union and New Haven Trust Building, located at 205 Church Street in New Haven, Connecticut, was the tallest building in New Haven when it was constructed in 1927. This Georgian-Colonial Revival skyscraper was designed by architects Cross and Cross. The building, sited on the northeast corner of the historic New Haven Green, changed hands several times over the years. In 2014 it was converted into residences and renamed The Union.

The New Haven City Hall and County Courthouse is located at 161 Church Street in the Downtown section of New Haven, Connecticut. The city hall building, designed by Henry Austin, was built in 1861; the old courthouse building, now an annex, designed by David R. Brown, was built in 1871–73. They stand on the east side of the New Haven Green. The pair of buildings was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1975. They are significant early examples of High Victorian Gothic architecture in the United States. The city hall building's most striking feature used to be a clock tower that rose above. It is shown in historic drawing among the accompanying photographs. In 1992, a memorial to those involved in the Amistad incident, the Amistad memorial, was erected in front of city hall, facing the New Haven Green, as this was the site of the prison where the Africans aboard the Amistad were held and tried. In January 2012, a PureCell Model 400 was dropped into place behind City Hall in the Millennium Plaza. The heat produced by the fuel cell will be used to heat and cool City Hall and the Hall of Records. It will supply 60 percent of the buildings' heating needs, and 30 percent of cooling needs. According to Giovanni Zinn of the city's Office of Sustainability, the PureCell can help the city save up to $1 million in energy costs over the next ten years.

The John Cook House is a historic house at 35 Elm Street in New Haven, Connecticut. Built about 1807, it is one of the city's oldest surviving stone buildings, further notable for a parade of locally or statewide prominent residents. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Elm Street Historic District is a state historic district in the downtown area of New Haven, Connecticut. The area is eligible for listing, but not yet listed, on the National Register of Historic Places. The district is roughly bounded by Wall, Orange, Elm, and College streets. It includes the New Haven Free Public Library, the New Haven County Courthouse, The Eli, the Union and New Haven Trust Building, the Yale School of Music, and the Yale University Press building.

The Eli, formerly the Southern New England Telephone Company Administration Building, is a skyscraper at 227 Church Street in downtown New Haven, Connecticut. Completed in 1938, it is the city's finest example of Art Deco architecture, and was headquarters to the Southern New England Telephone Company (SNET), which oversaw the building of the state's telephone networks. Designed by Douglas Orr and Roy W. Foote, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The William Pinto House, also known as William Pinto-Eli Whitney House, is a historic house at 275 Orange Street in New Haven, Connecticut. It is a Federal-style building of post-and-beam construction, and was built in 1810 for John Cook, a merchant. It is rare and unusual for its design, which places the gable end facing the street, rather than to the side as was more typical in the Federal period. It is historically notable for its second owner, William Pinto, a member of one of New Haven's leading Jewish families, and for its third occupant, Eli Whitney, who leased the house from Pinto in the later years of his life. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It now houses professional offices.

The Caroline Nicoll House is a historic house at 27 Elm Street in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. Built in 1828, it is a rare surviving example of an urban townhouse from that period, and a well-preserved example of transitional Federal-Greek Revival architecture. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Richard C. Lee United States Courthouse is a monumental courthouse of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, located on the east side of the New Haven Green. Built between 1913 and 1919, the structure was spared from a planned demolition in the 1960s, and instead renovated to continue its useful life. For many decades, it also served as a post office, although the post office moved to another location in 1979. It is an excellent example of Classical Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.
