School No. 1 (Russian: средняя школа № 1) is a school located in Gagarinsky District, South-Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow.

The Moscow Finnish School (MFS, Finnish: Moskovan suomalainen peruskoulu, MSP) is a Finnish-education private school in Lomonosovsky District, South-Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia, operated by the Finnish School Association. The school uses Finnish as its language of instruction and has lower and higher educational stages.It moved to its current campus in 2003. It occupies 660 square metres (7,100 sq ft) of space on the third floor of its building, using it as classroom space. It shares the campus with the Moscow Japanese School, the Swedish School in Moscow, and the Scuola Italiana Italo Calvino (Italian school). The campus also has a dining hall, an indoor gymnasium, a technical classroom, a playing field that doubles as a skating rink in the winter, and outdoor athletic fields.Most of the children have parents who work for the Embassy of Finland in Moscow and for Finnish companies. As of the 2007/2008 school year, there were 36 students in classes zero through nine.

The title Moscow State Circus is used for a variety of circuses. Japanese School in Moscow (Russian: Японская школа, Japanese: モスクワ日本人学校 Mosukuwa Nihonjin Gakkō) is a Japanese international school located in Lomonosovsky District, South-Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow.It was established in 1967. It occupies the fourth and fifth floors of its building, which is also used by the Moscow Finnish School, the Swedish School in Moscow, and the Scuola Italiana Italo Calvino (Italian school). The campus also has a dining hall, an indoor gymnasium, a technical classroom, a playing field that doubles as a skating rink in the winter, and outdoor athletic fields.

As of 1992, the company had produced or serviced over 400 film and television projects. Universitet (Russian: Университе́т, English: University), named after the nearby Moscow State University, is a station on the Moscow Metro's Sokolnicheskaya Line. It opened in 1959 and has rectangular white marble pylons and tiled walls. The architects were V. Litvinov, M. Markovsky, L. Lile and V. Dobrakovsky. The station's two round entrance vestibules (architect Ivan Taranov) are located on either side of Prospekt Vernadskogo at Lomonosovsky Prospekt.

Lomonosovsky District, Moscow (Russian: Ломоно́совский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of South-Western Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia. The area of the district is 3.34 square kilometers (1.29 sq mi). Population: 85,000 (2017 est.). Population - 81,851. Established at 1995. Named after Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov.

The Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (Russian: Российский государственный университет нефти и газа имени И. М. Губкина) is a public university in Moscow, Russia. The university was founded in 1930 and is named after the geologist Ivan Gubkin. The university is colloquially known as Kerosinka (Russian: Керосинка), meaning 'kerosene stove'. During the Soviet period, the university, along with the Moscow State University of Railway Engineering, was known for admitting students of Jewish origin while other universities unofficially barred Jewish students. Affiliates of the Gubkin institute exist in Orenburg and Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

The Sternberg Astronomical Institute (Государственный астрономический институт имени Штернберга in Russian), also known as GAISh (ГАИШ), is a research institution in Moscow, Russia, a division of Moscow State University. The institute is named after astronomer Pavel Karlovich Shternberg. It was founded in 1931, on the site of the observatory established by the university in 1831.The main-belt asteroid 14789 GAISH, discovered by Lyudmila Chernykh at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in 1969, was named in its honour. The official naming citation was published on 6 January 2007 (M.P.C. 58595).
