Park Avenue (Irish: Ascaill na Páirce) in the suburb of Sandymount, Dublin 4, Ireland is the name of a road joining Sydney Parade Avenue to Gilford Road. It is home to a number of cricket and rugby union grounds including Pembroke Cricket Club, the Railway Union Sports Club and Monkstown Rugby Club. Of architectural note is the Church of St John (Church of Ireland), noted for its French Bath stone's decay due to its proximity to the sea. The church is on an island at the junction of Park Avenue and St Johns Road, which continues east towards the sea at Sandymount Strand. Park Avenue of Sandymount, like its famous namesake in New York City, is noted for its high property prices and wealthy residents. For example, in 2006, number 70 - a Victorian red-brick semi-detached house with a large garden - made headlines by selling for the large sum of €9,500,000. However, the same house was priced at €5,925,000 by 2011.

Sydney Parade Avenue (Irish: Ascaill Pharáid Sydney) Sandymount, Dublin 4, Ireland runs from the land formerly known as Ailesbury Park opposite the Merrion Centre at the Merrion Road end, to the sea of Dublin Bay at the Strand Road. Ailesbury Road joins Sydney Parade at the DART station known as Sydney Parade railway station, originally opened in January 1835. Other side roads off the avenue include Richelieu Park, a cul-de-sac Ailesbury Park, Ailesbury Gardens, which joins with St. Alban's Park, and Park Avenue, the road to Sandymount village.The Ailesbury Park end of the avenue has been closed to road traffic, since the 1980s. The avenue was formerly spelt Sidney Parade Avenue.

Sydney Parade Railway Station (Irish: Stáisiún Pharáid Sydney) is located at Sydney Parade Avenue in Sandymount, Dublin 4, Ireland. The alternative spelling Sidney Parade is also in common usage. It serves the southern end of Dublin 4, St Vincent's Hospital at Elm Park and the RTÉ Radio and Television studios at Montrose, Donnybrook. There is a level crossing at the northern end of the station. The ticket office is open between 06:00-00:00, Monday to Friday. It is unmanned on Saturday and Sunday.

Sydney Parade is a cricket ground in Dublin, Ireland. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1897, when Pembroke played Leicester Ivanhoe. In 1965, the ground hosted a first-class match between Ireland and Scotland, which resulted in a Scottish victory by an innings and 22 runs. In 1995, the ground hosted a Women's One Day International between Ireland women and the Netherlands women. The ground hosted further Women's One Day Internationals in 1996 when Ireland women played New Zealand women, in 1997 when Ireland women played South Africa women, and in 2000 when Ireland women played Pakistan women.The ground is the home of club cricket side Pembroke Cricket Club and rugby union club Monkstown FC.

Sandymount (Irish: Dumhach Thrá) is an affluent coastal suburb in the Dublin 4 district on the Southside of Dublin in Ireland.

Merrion Road is a major road, part of the R118, in Dublin 4. It joins the Pembroke Road section of the R118 at Herbert Park and runs south-east to Merrion, where it meets the Rock Road at Booterstown. At Merrion Gates, it meets Strand Road (R131) just after the latter crosses the DART line. There are a number of well-known buildings along Merrion Road, including the Royal Dublin Society (RDS), the British Embassy, a Catholic church (Our Lady Queen Of Peace), the Merrion Shopping Centre, several hotels and parts of the "embassy belt" at Ballsbridge. The grounds of Wanderers F.C. rugby club and St. Vincent's University Hospital are also located on the road.

The Merrion Centre in Dublin, Ireland is a shopping centre situated at the junction of Nutley Lane with Merrion Road. It serves the community of Dublin 4. It is anchored by the Tesco supermarket and the Japanese embassy is located in the centre. The centre was once home to one of the last remaining Quinnsworth stores owned by Peter Quinn of Nutley Lane. In the late 1990s, the centre underwent a renovation and a Tesco Ireland store was opened.A free underground car park is provided, with about a quarter of the spaces reserved for the office workers.The Tony Walsh pharmacy was used in the 2003 movie Intermission, but filmed to look as if it were outdoors.

Sandymount Strand (Irish: Dumhach Thrá) is a large strand on the east coast of Ireland, adjacent to the village and suburb of Sandymount in Dublin. It is part of South Bull - a major component of the south side of Dublin Bay, and part of the Dublin Bay Biosphere Reserve. South Bull is a mirror to the North Bull sandbank, which grew into North Bull Island. Sandymount Strand is a popular place for locals to take a walk. People, and in the past - there is no longer public vehicular access - cars, have been occasionally trapped by the incoming tide. A large inlet of water that remains even at low tide is known locally as "Cockle Lake".

St Michael's College (Irish: Coláiste Naomh Mícheál) is a voluntary Catholic boys' school, with an associated primary school, located on Ailesbury Road in Dublin 4, Ireland. Founded in 1944 by the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (The Spiritans) as a second feeder school along with Willow Park, it was initially a primary school to Blackrock College. The first eight pupils were transferred from Willow Park. The next September, 58 boys were enrolled. In 1952 the first secondary school pupils were admitted. Following expansion in the 1960s and 1970s, the school developed both a primary and secondary school. It has been extensively expanded, including the opening of a cafeteria, a sports pavilion, as well as new classrooms and a new gym.
