SBT Brasília

Band Brasília (channel 3) is a Rede Bandeirantes-owned-and-operated station licensed to the city of Brasília, Brazil's federal capital. Its studios are located on Centro Empresarial João Carlos Saad, located in the Setor Bancário Sul of the city's South Wing, in the Plano Piloto administrative region, and its transmitter is located at Torre de TV Digital de Brasília, in the Lago Norte region.

The Brasilia Digital TV Tower (Portuguese: Torre de TV Digital de Brasília) is a broadcast tower which made digital television signal available for the whole Federal District and surroundings. It is also known as the “Flor do Cerrado”, the Cerrado flower. Initially planned to open to the public on April 21, 2010, as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the City of Brasília, the tower was only inaugurated two years later on April 21, 2012.The tower was one of the final designs of Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, and cost R$75 million. The tower is 182 meters tall to the top of the antenna. The enclosed building is reinforced concrete structure for 120 meters, with 50m of metallic structure above that, topped by a 12m television antenna. The main building contains two observatories. The highest one, 80 meters above the ground, contains a restaurant with a panoramic view. The other one is used as an art gallery.

The Paranoá Island (Portuguese: Ilha do Paranoá) is the largest of the three islands of Lake Paranoá in Brasília, Distrito Federal, Brazil. It is approximately 1.54 hectares, is located close to the ML 4 of Lago Norte neighborhood and is declared Lake Paranoá Ecological Reserve. The other two islands are Retiro Island and Clubes Island.

Lago Norte (Portuguese pronunciation: [laɡu nɔʁtʃi]; lit. North Lake) is an administrative region in the Federal District in Brazil. Located to the north side of Paranoá Lake, it is bordered by Brasília, Sobradinho II, and Sobradinho to the north, Itapoã and Paranoá to the east. Lago Norte shares a maritime border with Lago Sul, Paranoá, and Brasília through the Paranoá Lake. It completely surrounds the administrative region of Varjão. Most of its inhabited area is located on a peninsula of Lake Paranoá. Lago Norte is home to the Brasilia Digital TV Tower. Lago Norte was founded on January 10, 1960, receiving the status of administrative region, according to Law 641, of January 10, 1994. In a 2010 report, its population was 41,627. Its current administrator is Marcelo Ferreira da Silva.

Varjão is an administrative region in the Federal District in Brazil. Varjão was founded on April 19, 1991, receiving the status of administrative region, according to Law 3153, of May 6, 2003.

The University of Brasília (Portuguese: Universidade de Brasília, UnB) is a federal public university in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. It was founded in 1960 and has since consistently been named among the top five Brazilian universities and the top fifteen universities in South America by Times Higher Education (THE). Created under the utopian vision of educator Anísio Teixeira and anthropology professor Darcy Ribeiro in 1962, the University of Brasília (UnB) is located in the centre of Brazil’s capital city, on the banks of the Paranoá Lake. There are four campuses: the Darcy Ribeiro campus (regarded as the UnB’s nucleus), the Ceilândia, Gama and Planaltina campuses. Its Central Library is home to Midwestern Brazil's largest archive and is used by research and federal employees from all over the country UnB offers 114 courses recognized by the Ministry of Education.

The Federal Institute of Brasília (Portuguese: Instituto Federal de Brasília, IFB), or in full: Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Brasília (Portuguese: Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Brasília) is an Institute of Technology located at the capital of Brazil that offers different types of degrees and operating often at variable levels of the educational system. It is an institution of Higher education and professional vocational education, specializing in science, engineering, and technology or different sorts of technical subjects. It is also a secondary education school focused on vocational training and applied Scientific research. IFB has the objective of forming ethical citizens and professionals and of being an institution involved with society. Its actions point toward the development of new technologies, cultural and social investments and the formation of critical citizens. The student's abilities are improved and testes through the courses, helping them to develop the "know-how", and values concerning all the areas.

The Granja do Torto (Officially the Residência Oficial do Torto) is an official residence maintained by the Presidency of Brazil. It is a property with ranch-style features, located on the outskirts of the capital city of Brasília. It is used mainly as a weekend retreat by the president. Situated on 90 acres of land, the complex includes an artificial lake and stream, swimming pool, soccer field, multisport arena, helipad and an area of native forest.

Itapoã (Portuguese pronunciation: [itapoˈɐ̃]) is an administrative region in the Federal District in Brazil. Itapoã was founded on January 3, 2005, receiving the status of administrative region, according to Law 3527, of January 3, 2005. It is bordered by Sobradinho to the north, Paranoá to the south, and Lago Norte to the west.

Lake Paranoá (Portuguese: Lago Paranoá, pronounced [ˈlagu pɐɾɐnuˈa], [ˈlagu paɾɐnoˈa]) is an artificial lake in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. During construction of the city, the Paranoá River was dammed to form the lake. It is at an altitude of 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) and has a circumference of 80 km (50 mi). On its shores are embassies and consulates, sports clubs, restaurants, the residential areas of Lago Sul and Lago Norte, the University of Brasília, the Olympic Center, and the Palácio da Alvorada, the official residence of the president of Brazil.
